- In 1986, Super Mario Bros. 2 was released. Two years later, Super Mario Bros. 2 was released again. How does this happen? American incompetence and clever rebranding. It's a common tale, but in case you haven't heard it, this is the story of Mario's oddball sequel(s).

Personally, I've always preferred the US Mario Bros. 2 (especially since many elements in this game would become mainstay Mario staples), while Lost Levels felt more like an expansion pass to SMB1.
@@sonloto8010 Yeah that’s the one I grew up emulating. I never beat the original SMB - there’s no way I was going to stand up to Lost Levels.
