Grat video, I took a brief sample quiz from the Council of Whisky Masters. A question was on Peat drying time. They had the correct answer as a short time, like days or a couple weeks.
Great series. Love it. For anyone in the NE area… I just visited a distillery in North Conway NH. It’s called Cathedral ledge distillery. Great people. Good spirits. The bourbon and rye are a tad young. But the vodkas and gin were great. They make a horse radish vodka for you Bloody Mary lovers. Check it out if you’re in the area.😊 Then go visit Sabbaday falls on the Kancamagus.😊💪👍🥃
Great information and presentation Erik! Now after all these years and knowledge gained are you tempted to start or team up with others to start or partake in your own Craft Distillery ? We are experiencing a Boom of new distilleries opening here in the United States producing some great whiskey.
It takes a LARGE fortune to make a small fortune in the whisky industry. I am more tempted to be a consultant than actually start a distillery. But, if someone came along and made me an offer to be a partner in starting a distillery I would consider it.
Is funny, I just open a bottle of Mortlach 12 yrs old and I'm trying it the first time while watching your video. How does the 12 Yrs compare to the 16 Yrs old? Great video, Thank you for teaching us about Scotch whiskey. Cheers!
Pen and Paper in front of me... feels like studying once again.
Great video, thanks a lot :)
Eventually I'll have a web site and upload these notes. In the mean time, I will be uploading them to the File section of my Facebook group.
