Yoh. So many SUV’s. The “budget SUV” market started to strive because of the rarity of affordable SUV’s we had in South Africa before 2020. The Chinese took successful advantage of that. But they overdoing it now😭.

Nice review....i did notice however that when driving a conventional auto and this is purely my opinion its better to coast around corners or bends instead of breaking and then hitting the gas hard to get up to speed again it becomes more efficient.

Budget or midsize SUVs with small engines must utilise CVT gearboxes. They work. I’d go for the HS over other Chinese brands on the back of positive reviews on driver dimensions and fuel consumption.

The HS has two engine options, a 1.5 turbo with a 7 speed DCT and a 2.0 turbo with a 9 speed auto

Yes that’s true , those options are available on the website but at the time of the launch they only spoke about the 1.5 Litre Turbo variant so I’m not certain if the 2.0 Turbo is already available for purchase.

@mrhowmuch I really like your content, it's the best car content in SA in my opinion, however I think that you should also normalise keeping your videos as natural as possible especially the type of videos whereby you are going on vacations or long drives,
-Instead of muting the sound and putting a voice over it, just try to keep the engine noise of your car and please share the type of music you play
-And also if possible please share your stops for breaks and the total cost of your trip including petrol and the snacks you buy, and toll gates.
