She’s def pretty and I love the animation in that movie but I falls short because she doesn’t have much personality. She has the least lines in the whole movie even thought she’s the main character. With that being said I can see why ppl don’t resonate with her as well. Still a beautiful movie tho.
I think it’s because she’s basically a side character in her own movie, I mean she sleeps through a chunk of it and before that we don’t see much personality from her. Then Disney made like a short special of her which made her kinda act like a spoiled princess who just liked getting stuff which people didn’t like.. and I think Disney just decided to never touch her again after that 😭
I hope Mattel will improve the quality of the next Disney dolls they are making (the ones that will upcoming this next year) and bring us something similar to the dolls of the 90s.
The new Disney Mattel dolls will NEVER have the 90s quality again It would cost much money to produce dolls with that quality nowadays and they will have a really crazy high price Plus, the new Mattel Disney dolls are meant to be the cheap alternative to Disney Store dolls, so they MUST be inferior, even if they will make them with fabric clothes

Love Wiinter Moon Pocahontas. She is gorgeous. Mattel really did it for Pocahontas in the 90's. I also have to mention the Brass Key dolls. I'm usually not a fan of porcelain doll myself. But the Brass key dolls are very nice. The faces are well done and cute and the outfits are gorgeous. Definitely recommend one or two in your collection.
Awesome, I own the white and blue Snow White, she is still in the box - I bought her new in the store years ago. I had to have her! She is the only holiday Barbie I have.

I had the porcelain snow white at 5:27. She was a very pretty doll. Got it from an aunt and uncle who made me swear not to open it because it was an "investment piece" well 20 years later my family moved and the doll went to the garage sale at going ebay price of $20. Don't know how much they paid for it but I'm sure it was more than what auction price was running so it was certainly not an investment.

Holiday Belle at 08:50 brought back so much nostalgia for me! This is such a "stupid kid" story to cringe at now, but I owned a few Holiday Disney dolls back when I was so very young, and at 3 years old I wanted so badly to take them out of the box and play with them like my playline dolls. My mom kept trying to assure me that they were collectors dolls and that they "had to stay in the box" (and of course I didn't understand the value of keeping collectors items in good condition, and even now I still take things out of the box to pose and display them LOL) but I loved this Belle so much that I wanted to carry her around and play with her, so I did all those things with her IN BOX. I even let her sleep in my bed IN BOX. 🤦🏼♀ Her poor box was so bent up but she was still in pristine condition. And she still looks so beautiful here in this video. Maybe now that I'm an adult I should find her on ebay and buy her and take her out of the box like my 3 year old self wanted lol
I'm loving the irony of these holiday Cinderella's looking more like film Cinderella than the normal dolls do. And the hilarity of the Christmas Jasmine doll being more historically accurate than what she normally wears, even though she is Muslim.

A few years ago I was able to get Holiday Belle (1997) from Beauty and the Beast: Enchanted Christmas and Holiday Jasmine (1999). Mattel was the bomb back in the 1990s. I am hoping to get Cinderella and Snow White from that series.
You forgot the Hasbro Style Series Holiday Elsa (damn that’s a mouthful). She wears the white dress from the movie but yassified. It’s now a giant glittery dress with 3 layers in her skirt, it’s so big that the stand she comes with is one of those stands that grabs the doll by her no no zone. Her makeup is stunning and she has ROOTED EYELASHES 😍. Her hair is very simple but cute and she has these giant dangly earrings that are the purple diamonds from the movie. I have her and she just sits on my desk looking pretty but damn does she take up a lot of space lol
there's the style series holiday elsa and cinderella but they're both just slightly more wintry versions of their normal dresses so i'm not sure how much those count
the last two dolls are STUNNING, I really love that Ariel, especially because she doesn't suffer from Big-headed Disney doll syndrome + her outfit is so beautiful and yes the boots are cute but also the Pocahontas is so beautiful because it's creative with her outfit without being too outlandish and weird. Sometimes they really overdesign Pocahontas when it comes time for her to have a special outfit and while she's one of my FAVES it makes me wish they'd just leave her alone instead.
Joey,I really appreciate the diversity in the dolls you show. You mentioned Jasmine not getting enough representation but you often show dolls of different races and genders and you judge them all equally. Sometimes you’ll show or even own a black, Latina, or male doll and critique the face mold, hair and dress fabric like you would Cinderella or Barbie. You don’t pander or patronize.
Of course, 90s and early 2000s Holiday Disney Princess dolls were God Tier. Not only because their exquisite quality, but also they really incorporated each Princesses' inspirations and styles.
Sigh! Yes, KB Toys were wonderful little toy shops mostly located in shopping malls. And sadly, taken out by Toys R Us. Which is rather ironic considering they also went out of business. Even our local Disney Store is gone. And I live in Florida.
I have the Cinderella with the molded on gloves. I got her second hand and had no idea she was supposed to be holiday/Christmas. I really like the molded on gloves because I always hated how the finger portion looks for with fabric gloves. They look too much like socks. You still get the beauty of the hands with molded gloves.
