    One correction to note:
    Thankfully it's been pointed out in the comments that I was wrong about not being able to move the village center. I don't know how I missed that but you actually can move it. My bad!

      @Shaabhekh 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      While you can move it, you wont be able to sell the original territory you started on like you can with the rest since the game considers your village center to be there, regardless of where you may move the little box and wheelbarrow.

    Another small tip is to always make sure that you have space for a commodity in a storage building, somewhere. For example, if you're trying to trade for more tools (I always have an issue with tool supply early in the game) make sure there is a place for the trader to drop them, otherwise you'll keep waiting and wondering why they never let you buy any tools from them.

    I've just started playing and two things I've learned:
    1. Housing takes more space than industry.
    2. You can restart on the same map by copying the map seed.
    Other items my wife shared with me:
    1. For your starting territory look for one which includes lots of trees & berry bushes, stone and fishes (splashes in the water).
    2. Try to build industrial buildings (orange circle) away from residential areas.
    3. Click the telescope (top left) and select territory boundaries! Especially if you haven't build your village center yet.

    So far Pastures can be placed within the woodlands without disrupting boars, high boar population needs a lot of trees so I usually have 2-3 territories connected that are just reforested woods. Being able to also use these woods as pastures is a great use of the space.
    You can import 20 bread early on to unlock another trade route, they will buy boar, I sometimes still use this since it is very easy to hit the trade cap for meat and as mentioned above I can get very high boar populations. Boar are used later on for a few other production chains and therefore it is good to have a surplus. Selling the surplus early on adds some extra coin.

    A tip about the granary you can place it further away from food resource building coz the transporter have no problem walking but place it closer to markets. This way your market won't run out as fast

    • @RoboCharged
      @RoboCharged  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Good point that does sound like the best way! Sometimes my gathering hut or fisher's hut would run out of storage especially early on if I only had 1 or 2 villagers assigned as transporters. So I started favoring putting it closer to them.

    • @DailyQuestPDC
      @DailyQuestPDC 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Most of the time, I'm making central storage per market, and then second storage near resource rich zones. This way, I can manage efficient logistics and build lesser markets, simplyfing logistics. If you have a big resource node (big forest with many sawmills, practical example. I have a single big storage there with about one worker. He's supplying resource storage, where other storages adjacent to building guilds or markets walk there for resources.

    One point I would offer, which you didn't mention, is the resource removal tool. Based on what I've seen in other videos, it seems like a lot of people think they must clear cut forests to make room for their village features, and while that's fine if you want the production, it isn't necessary. In this game, woodlands are easily renewed with the forester, and one section of forest is often enough to manage all the timber you need, including planks and trade. Excess forest in the way of your plans can simply be removed after a short waiting period with the paintbrush. Likewise any extra stone or iron nodes in the way.

    • @RoboCharged
      @RoboCharged  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That's true good looking out! Yes the forester really grows trees back fast it's crazy!

    If you wanna sell the meat, I wouldn't put in up in market stalls. Villagers will eat the refined food and if it runs low, they will get upset for it not being there anymore.
    By the time you have access to the butcher, you will likely already have a sizeable town and the one hunters hut and one butcher will not be enough to provide.
    If you then sell what's in the granary, it will be out even quicker. But if the villagers never had that food, they will be content as ever with the rustic food. :)

    • @RoboCharged
      @RoboCharged  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Very true! I should of been more clear about ideally not putting it in a market at first and just selling it all to make money initially. And then add it in later on to fulfill the refined food requirement for pleasing commoners when you have them.

    • @Lekkah666
      @Lekkah666 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can set the export of a good to "only trade over a certain amount" I tend to make it 100, and have two slots in the granary for meat (200 total) then villagers never run out because of trade..

      Serfs will always be content without getting refined food, it is listed as being optional. If they do get one it bumps up their happiness so you can tax them more. Commoners require 2 different types of refined food and if they do not get a required need they will start to accumulate an event. The longer they go without receiving that need the stronger a negative mood the event will stack onto that commoner.
      Therefore, the early game question is do you sell the meat to the trader or do you provide it to the serfs and tax them more.
      I can usually get meat very early and can fill both needs and export with 1 hunter and 1 (half staffed with serfs) butcher building. The key is getting a dense enough forest that spawns lots of boars so the hunter is more productive.
      I usually hold off on getting commoners for a VERY long time. Only when I get the church, 2 refined foods going (meat and bread), clothing production, and berry brew for a tavern. It is fine to have 1/2 refined food options for a while, the negative mood event takes a lot of time to build up to the point commoners will leave.
      Even if they do not get their need met all the time, whenever they do get that 2nd refined food it will clear the negative mood event even if it was at like -98. xD

      @@PerfectDeath4 "Serfs will always be content without getting refined food, it is listed as being optional"..... I have a question. Looked all over the subbreddit, the steam posts, youtube videos, and cannot find anyone talking about how to do this one thing.
    Gold mining.
    I cannot figure out for the life of me how to do it. Is there a special building you need to unlock? I know you need the good smith to turn it into coins, not a problem there.
    I mean the physical mining. I found the iron mining pretty easily enough, but from what I can tell, you can't use that to building to mine gold. Can't find how to mind gold ore as there is no building/camp item that I've found so far that gives you that ability.

      For gold mining you just click on the deposit itself and then hit the edit building hammer button to build a Gold Quarry. Also add the Crane to fulfill the resource depot requirement for it.

      I think that alert comes up even if just one villager isn't getting around a market stall with it often enough. Meaning maybe he/she is either working and or living too far away. It'd look in villager page to find out which one it is and then follow them to try and figure it out. Either adding another stall closer or changing where they live/work.
