I'm grateful for your faith and that the Gospel is in China. Heavenly Father loves ALL of His children. I would rather be in a room with a few of His saints from anywhere in the world than in any other place on earth. God speed His work around the world. Looking forward, with all of you, to the triumphant return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I love the little things they included in these videos, like: - Everyone playing on the beach (it never occurred to me while reading the Book of Mormon that that would probably be one of the first things everyone would have wanted to do once they got there lol) - Bits of dialogue that make the story more cohesive, like “You are not Moses, and this isn’t the Red Sea!” - Laman, upon completing the ship, reluctantly turning to Nephi with a “you were right” face and going, “It is good.” And Nephi looking at him like “Wow good to see you finally admitting this commandment of God was a good idea thank you” (I like that even though Nephi doesn’t rebel against God and he isn’t violent, you can still see the natural human reactions he has towards his brothers. It makes you realize you can be annoyed with people but still treat them well, and choose to be righteous rather than punching the person you disagree with) - LEHI GIVING A HORSEY RIDE TO HIS GRANDKIDS - “It is a Bountiful land... WAIT WHY DIDN’T WE THINK OF THAT NAME YET LET’S CALL IT BOUNTIFUL” - The fact Nephi prays out loud in some videos and mentally in this video, to portray that both types of praying are acceptable to God - Nephi building an entire workshop before his brothers even notice because he works that fast (or they’re that oblivious) - Nephi looking down for a second like “why” when they ask “What are you doing” because he fully expects them to not like what he has to say - Sam standing at the side lines during the argument, fully expecting violence, so he stays close enough to step in if necessary - “YEEESSSS WE GET HONEEEYYYY MMMMM” - The camel watching the construction of the ship like “Yes good job everyone, looking good” - Family prayer on the beach, including Laman and Lemuel - The looks of anticipation from everyone before the ship sets sail Tl;dr, The acting here is good, it’s true to the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Mormon is true.
This is the best mini series ever. It’s filled with faith, it shows overcoming adversity, it reveals God’s direction and care for Lehi and his people and thus all of us! The Book of Mormon is the true and has purpose and meaning for everyone of us! These videos are fantastic and I believe that they were created in this time to bring people unto Him.
I also enjoy these videos; however, when I read the Book of Mormon this is not how I envisioned it. It takes away a little from the reader's imagination.
@@raysalmon6566 You know, when all anyone can do is slam something they don't like, it doesn't help their cause, it makes them look small and pitiful. It's easy to accuse someone of anything, without evidence or meaning. That's exactly the tactic Satan uses-he is an accuser, one who tears down. God, on the other hand, builds faith, rewards effort, and encourages industry, thrift, and obedience. Sadly, you are nothing more than Satan's minion. Accusing and stabbing and doing nothing of any good here. Try reading this wonderful book and take the time to get to know it. Dive into it and learn from its pages. I have done so for over 33 years, reading this book every day. I LOVE this book and have had marvelous experiences with it and with the Spirit and voice of God. It's easy to tear down and be negative and dismissive. Try building something instead. Try putting some effort into drawing closer to God and he will draw closer to you. You are better than this!
@@jmcglynn5273 You have followed Alma 32: 38-40 perfectly. 38 But if ye neglect the tree, and take no thought for its nourishment, behold it will not get any root; and when the heat of the sun cometh and scorcheth it, because it hath no root it withers away, and ye pluck it up and cast it out. 39 Now, this is not because the seed was not good, neither is it because the fruit thereof would not be desirable; but it is because your ground is barren, and ye will not nourish the tree, therefore ye cannot have the fruit thereof. 40 And thus, if ye will not nourish the word, looking forward with an eye of faith to the fruit thereof, ye can never pluck of the fruit of the tree of life. I pray that you will repent and not be cast off forever. There is still a chance. Don't go down this route you have started on because the end is not where you really want to be.
Heavenly father didn't need to take 8 years to bring them to the promised land. But they as a family needed 8 years to prepare spiritually, mentally and physically for each progressive leg of the journey. Each of us also has a promised land, our very own lands full of milk and honey to which the Lord will lead us. His promises are not always swift but they are certain and we will find that we grow and become much more in the journey than in our "arrival". We always grow much more in the waiting than in the receiving.
I've read the Book of Mormon multiple times and I really enjoy these new videos the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is putting out now. And I particularly appreciate your comment that "We always grow much more in the waiting than in the receiving." That's exactly what I needed to hear this weekend, this day! Thank you for sharing your thoughts Andrew.
I've been so moved by these videos.. and knowing that the truth is here and in the Book of Mormon.. Thank you so very much. You bless all who visually see... for those of us who already believed and had a testimony of the truth of the words in the Book of Mormon, brought forth through the power of our Father in Heaven to a young boy nearly 200 years ago.. It's just another seal on our faith.
These videos are some of the most wonderful content the church has ever produced! I look forward to it every Friday. And I feel like each episode gets better.
I love how Nephi first showed faith by acting right after he heard God's voice. That is what I admire about Nephi. He was swift to obey the Lord, therefore, the Lord helped him swiftly to find ore to make tools to build the ship and stand boldly against opposition. I also love how it is the Lord that empowers people according to their faith to do His will, not just man focusing on his physical strength and intellect. All aboard!
@Mike obeying the lord's commandment is running away? who are the faithful people they should stay with? Are you referring to the people of Jerusalem that rejected Jeremiah and cast him to prison or the same people that wanted to take his fathers' life for warning them?
@Mike They didn't do it for safety, but because the Lord told them to. If the Lord wanted them to stay he would have protected them in any way he wanted (or not) in Jerusalem. He had a reason for bringing the people away and to the Americas. Those things don't have to make sense to us here, our ways are not His ways. We are instructed to be like Him, not the other way around.
Mike I appreciate your concern but in the several dozen times I have studied the book it is very clear that they left at the direction of the Lord and the Lord has full power to protect someone if it fulfills his purposes to do so.
We are so blessed to have the BOM in our lives ❤ I know that God lives and that Jesus Christ is the redeemer of the world and our savior. These people in the Americas are many of my ancestors. I am grateful to know more about them because of the stories in this book.
I love Catholics. I have Catholic ancestors. I was in a Catholic youth group, even though I was not of your faith. I investigated the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I felt the Spirit testify of it's truthfulness and was baptized. I still love my Catholic friends. I love my Catholic grandfather. Let's celebrate our similarities and stand together against so much opposition to Christianity - and religion in general. Let us unite ❤️ as Christ would have us do. We can unitedly pray with faith in Him 🙏, labor 💪 to protect our religious freedom, and serve others, no matter their faith, lack of faith, or circumstances.
@@raysalmon6566 Actually, we are reading the New Testament right now in Sunday Schools across the globe. We're in 1&2 Thessalonians right now, if you care to join us. I love Paul's joy and love he expresses in those books.
I have read the Book of Mormon a lot, since I learned how to read. I have read it more in the most recent ten years of my life. It is a very precious gift from God! It has been a lifeline to me. I have read it (very nearly) every day for the last 30 years. I am glad that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has come out with these renditions, which are true to the book. It's great!
It's easy to forget that Nephi didn't even have tools before he was commanded to build a boat. He literally had to start from the ground up. I loved to see the whole family chipping in and working on it together. Excellent representation of these scenes from the book.
@ray salmon 1 Nephi 18: 2 Now I, Nephi, did not work the timbers after the manner which was learned by men, neither did I build the ship after the manner of men; but I did build it after the manner which the Lord had shown unto me; wherefore, it was not after the manner of men It doesn't matter how ship building worked at the time. He didn't build it like people did at the time. Are you saying an all powerful God cannot tell someone how to build a boat?
@@KnuttyEntertainment People will continue to grasp at straws and try to find the Book of Mormon at fault with ANYTHING,....... like by now I realize that it's not just that they don't believe or aren't convinced, but they actively are seeking ANY argument they can to try to discredit it or show it to be false and untrue. But the Book speaks for itself! The list of supposed "anachronisms" used to be bigger too, but with more and more discoveries in the Americas, we are learning that literally many of the things once said to be anachronisms are actually not at all. Take for instance the Vered Jericho Sword. Steel sword from 7th century BCE. Sword of Laban is basically now no longer anachronistic. And many other examples to. I personally believe that many things we think also might be anachronistic today for the Book of Mormon times in ancient America will be simply proven to be acceptable and true in the future. After all though, I have my testimony from the Holy Ghost. Luke 24:32 King James Version (KJV) 32 And they said one to another, Did not our *heart* *burn* *within* *us* , while he talked with us by the way, and while he *opened* *to* *us* *the* *scriptures* ? That is how we know these things are true. By the witness of the Holy Ghost, in whatever way Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ choose to speak with us, be it in our mind, our thoughts, a burning in the bosom, or some other way. I testify this is true, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
@Jay Britton Fisher Thank you, I am aware, but behold, God has commanded us to profess the truth unto all men. And why command us if we cannot accomplish it, as Nephi said, and why profess if they cannot be saved? Even the hardest in heart can receive. Nephi and Lehi did not withhold their words from Laman and Lemuel, and their hearts were softened. Even the Anti-christs Sherem and Korihor, admitted to the truth, even if their repentance did come too late. And also the anti-nephi-lehitites. Those who know the truth need not have to told unto them, so I will continue, even if I am bombarded with slings and arrows as was Samuel the Lamanite.
@@raysalmon6566 It is fun to see how the anti's move the goalpost. For over 100 years it was "the items listed in the land bountiful didnt exist anywhere near the Arabia" Then in the lat 20th century all things like fresh water, honey, wild fruit, ore, etc that is list is all found in an exact location that matches perfectly with the described area they travel. So now we hear. "Do some study on ship building at the time and see how you feel about it". Completely ignoring even that take is answered in the Book of Mormon. You are proving prophecies true. Thanks for helping my testimony of the restored gospel grow.
I can't wait to see each video as they Come out! I am the only one in my ward who has watched all of these videos, and I can't even find one person who has watched 1 of them! I have an absolute testimony of the truthfulness of this great book! I had a beautiful experience of RECIEVING a testimony of the Book of Mormon about 2002 ,approximately 5 years after coming back to Church after leaving for over 18 years . I know this is the restored Church of Jesus Christ, without a doubt!
I look forward to when the entire minnie series are completed. Then I would like to see them woven into a feature length movie. I love reading the Book of Mormon. I learn something new with each reading. And I say to myself, how did I not see this before. And I know that I'm seeing it now because it's what I'm meant to see and understand now. I love reading it on my phone or my tablet. Because it's so much easier to tap the highlighted footnotes and learn how the Holy Bible and other sacred scriptures are in harmony with each other. I know that GOD lives and hears and answers my prayers. We only need listen.

I think if I hadn't received a witness of the truth of all this, I could have very easily turned out like Laman and Lemuel. I'm so extremely grateful to my Heavenly Father for the Holy Ghost revealing the truth to me, and I'm grateful for Nephi's faith, courage, and example in following the Lord's commandments, and I'm also extremely grateful for Sam's faith, courage, and example in choosing to follow the prophet, especially if it meant becoming humble and listening to his younger brother, which, as the oldest sibling in my family, is an example I have come to appreciate.

This is a powerful demonstration of the Power of God. This is a testimony to those who lack faith. Through God ALL things are possible! I love these videos, they help visualize the Book of Mormon. The best way to know the truth of these things is to sincerely humble yourself before God and ask in the name of Jesus Christ if they are True. Then, when you know this is true, don't be afraid to act on it. I know the Book of Morman to be True.
Even for those who scoff at this Book brought to life, it proves to be a great work, It is a good teacher of the personalities of men and the way God works through his ancient chosen people. Its lessons of life and our relationship with God are as vital today as it was then. Very well done.
@carbon273 there's plenty if you look for it. The problem is that much of the history of the natives of the Americas has been suppressed because it didn't line up with the official narrative of the Pre-Colombian Era both the good and the bad. There's a book you might find interesting called "He Walked The Americas" which is a compilation of Native stories that was compiled by someone who has no ties to the church. Even for some non-members the stories are believed to be stories of Jesus teaching the people on this side of the world.
jason c That’s interesting but two more things are more of an issue for me personally. The credibility of Joseph Smiths testimony and the theology of Latter Day Saints. So there’s 3 walls actually that block my path.🤔 Of the very little I know of Joseph Smiths testimony. He claimed to have seen the Father. Yet the Bible states: “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.” John 1:18 NKJV I know that Joseph Smith has his own unique translation of the KJV that the LDS don’t use upfront which is a bit sketchy (not just because it’s unique to their church but because LDS don’t use it upfront). It’s also convenient that he revised the Bible to place his name in there. It’s interesting to note that the Son was in the bosom of the Father and because of this, the Son has declared him. No offense, but I’m not sure how Smith can stack up to that. Christ stated himself: “Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.” John 6:46 NKJV I talked to the missionaries about this because I was confused on that little detail and they said “He who is from God..” refers to the prophets who follow God. Which I don’t think is true either because they are just ministers to spread the gospel and messengers of God. Again I believe Christ was referring to himself. Still, even though I don’t adhere or up until now don’t agree to these pillars in LDS faith I genuinely view the brethren as my brothers and sisters. Though they may look to me not as one because I’m not baptized in the church under “proper authority”. I love this church dearly.
@@carbon273 as far as the Joseph Smith translation goes the reason the church doesn't use it is that it remains in the possession of The Community of Christ formerly known as The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It wasn't until sometime in the '80s that they allowed us to view the manuscript in it's entirety. Before that it there was a concern that it may have been tampered with do to their opposition to things like the fact Joseph taught polygamy, and that Joseph had taught that the time would come that the Saints would have to leave Nauvoo, and move west. Even now there's some debate as to whether Joseph finished the translation before he was killed. Although more and more lean towards it was in fact completed. I myself am a convert, and after becoming a member I took it upon myself to learn as much as I could about the church's history with an unbiased perspective. I dare say not many outside of the General Authorities of the church and it's history department know as much about the church's history as I do. Also being nearly half Native American myself I already knew a great deal about the history of my ancestors.
@@carbon273 If it's hard for you to reconcile Joseph Smith's testimony with biblical passages, remember that it can be hard to reconcile the biblical passages themselves; several refer to people seeing God. There must be deeper meaning to what seems evident on the surface. Even the two passages you cited appear contradictory at first glance; one has a sentence that says "no one" and another (from the same author) says "not..anyone...except". You've already drawn some additional meaning from John 6:46 to help understand John 1:18; consider that there is yet additional meaning that aligns with what John said. Of course the passages were originally written in another language and then translated, and it's easy for some things to be lost in translation. I do notice that the passage speak in past tense; even Latter-day Saints consider it to be a rare event when God is seen or when He actually speaks, literally, to man. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe in receiving truth from God through the Holy Ghost. For myself, I wouldn't even assume that the Bible was true scripture without a witness from God about it; many people accept the Bible simply because they were raised with it, though many other people were raised in different faith traditions and carry different assumptions. I originally assumed that both the Bible and Book of Mormon were true because I was raised with them, but as I grew to become an adult and eventually live on my own, I found more need, as time went on, to think for myself and find out from God whether they really were true scripture. Without that witness from Him, I think I would be highly skeptical of many parts of the Bible (and the Book of Mormon), but because I have received a witness from Him I instead simply seek understanding. As the years have passed I have received a witness from God many times over in many ways. I hope that you also receive such a witness from Him, and that once you do you will both increase in understanding and be patient while still seeking some answers. I am grateful for all I've received from God through the Church of Jesus Christ even though I've never had all of my questions answered immediately.
Whoa. I love the opening scenes. The production value keeps getting better! Always looking forward to new episodes weekly. Hope the church produced the entire book.

@@raysalmon6566 My, and because of that single coincidence, the whole Book is apparently devalidated. Forget the Book's Hebrew artstyle, complex story, non-19th century views, entire cities of cement discovered that the Book mentioned, the verification of the entirety of Lehi's route, the discovery of other ancient metal plates, and finally above all, the testimony of millions for over two centuries that the Book is true. Joseph Smith had a brother named Samuel, so the Book of Mormon is apparently false. Note: sarcasm is difficult to express in text.

KevlarX2 you need to listen to president Nelson’s interview where he says nearly every night he receives revelation and writes it on his notepad on his nightstand.
Oh they press the snooze button. The Book of Mormon is Joseph Smith's giant, fictional snooze button. As Twain said: "All men have heard of the Mormon Bible, but few except the "elect" have seen it, or, at least, taken the trouble to read it. I brought away a copy from Salt Lake. The book is a curiosity to me, it is such a pretentious affair, and yet so "slow," so sleepy; such an insipid mess of inspiration. It is chloroform in print. If Joseph Smith composed this book, the act was a miracle - keeping awake while he did it was, at any rate."
Fun fact, I heard a theory (take it with a pillar of salt) that a way that "their meat [could] become sweet," is by laying out the meat to dry in the sun, making a kind of jerky, that has a soft sweet inside. I believe I read it from either Hugh Nibley or The Journal of Book of Mormon studies.
awesome astronaut Hey that totally makes sense! If they were 8 years in the wilderness.... they would stop for days at a time.... in that hot sun.... lots of time to dry the meat! Ive made jerky before with a food dehydrator.... you just put the thinly sliced meat in the heat and most of the moisture disapears.... and voila! Jerky!
awesome astronaut The Book of Mormon is a book of miracles and yet this theory is trying to say this process (of the meat becoming sweet) could only have been a natural one.
@@LiwaySaGu The Lord, even with his miracles, works through natural means. Is the Lord's instruction to Nephi, helping him build the ship, any less miraculous? Even with other help given by the Lord, it is a natural process to him. In the end though, it is still merely a theory, and if it is true, I do not feel that it belittles the scripture at all.
@@LiwaySaGu When you really consider everything that happens on the deepest levels, every single thing that occurs could be considered a miracle... The processes involved in making jerky is actually a miraculous thing!
@@armchairrocketscientist4934 great point, although it was the Lord that said "I will make thy food become sweet, that ye cook it not", so it was THE LORD that did the act of making the food sweet, not Nephi. I wouldn't think that he came down to make beef jerky for Nephi if Nephi could make the jerky by himself, especially with Nephi's character. The Lord did the act, so it must have been something Nephi couldn't do by himself.

I enjoyed this video. I am amazed at the content of the first chapters of the Book of Mormon and how God has given us the this account of Lehi family. Aren't we all taking a journey as Lehi Family. Can't we all relate to each character in their family and find the lessons God's intends for us to understand. I'm so grateful for the witness of the Holy Ghost that testifies to me of the truth of this families ancient record of faith and their trials and tribulations. What a blessing to have scripture of men following Gods will and being led in their everyday lives by the Holy Ghost. I find and enjoy great peace from reading the Book of Mormon and know it is the word of God. I have had my share of acting like Laman and Lemuel, and I have had many more happier days of acting as Nephi...obedient to the word of God and felt his hand in my everyday life. I grow closer to My Savior each day I practice reading these scripture and praying to my Father in Heaven. I love the Bible's account of the Savior ministry and find the Book of Mormon complimentary to witnessing of Jesus Christ as the people of America were taught by prophets of his gospel and looked forward to the prophecies that he would come to them after his resurrection. Each Chapter of the Book of Mormon preaches of Jesus Christ and his teachings leading up to Jesus Christ birth in Jerusalem, life, death, and resurrection...then appearance in the America's in fulfillment of the prophecies that he would visit the Nephites (See Book of Mormon; 3 Nephi 11-26).www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/bofm/3-ne/11?lang=eng
There's indeed opposition in all things ; despite seeing an angel and witnessing all those miracles , Laman and Lemuel still doubted. Wow! I am grateful for Nephi's faith. He is steadfast and immovable in keeping the commandments of God.
I admire the faith and courage of the women of the Book of Mormon. Lamen and Lemuel seemed very concerned about the women in their lives who also suffered much throughout the 8 year journey. I can't imagine bearing children under these harsh circumstances. I also wonder how Nephi's wife felt every time she woke up only to realize Nephi was away again speaking to the Lord. I wonder if she had much apprehension when he arrived back at the camp wondering what the Lord required of them. Such remarkable people. So many great examples for me to follow.
It's really uplifting to read all your (good) comments. It helps me ponder about important matters such as "obeying the Lord ... swiftly :)". And earnestly seeking the will of God in my life. So please, keep sharing :).

This is one of the areas where I question the physical descriptions in the text. You can't molten raw ore with an animal skin bellows / furnace. You'd have to build a bloomery, which requires charcoal, which requires a lot of trees to be felled (with tools, which it seems they didn't have, etc.?). Also, if you need to make tools to build the ship, that seems to indicate that you wouldn't have tools to mine the ore. It seems, from a plain reading of the text, that this is a very unlikely thing to be able to build in that environment, with so few people, and no applicable tools to mine the ore, to fell the trees, to make the charcoal, to use in the bloomery, to molten the ore, to make tools (which requires hammers, etc., which they apparently didn't have). Anyways, just my two cents worth...
I am glad they continue to make these videos. It is much easier to understand it than while reading. And I think it helps a lot of others who have trouble reading too.
Nephi is my personal favorite hero from the Book of Mormon. I know he was a prophet of God because he did some amazing things that a normal person could never do without God's inspiration. For instance, when he sliced off Laban's head while Laban was passed out drunk, that was an amazing inspiration from God. And also when he shocked Laman and Lemuel after he had warned them to not touch him, and they didn't touch him, but he shocked them anyways, that was an amazing demonstration of God's inspiration. I know this because Nephi would never have those violent tendencies unless he was inspired by God.
Nephi is faith without hesitation: Where shall I go to find ore that I may make tools? If the Lord commanded me to do all things I could do them. Such a powerful example.
I recal Lamon and Lamuel saught to take Nephi's life before god commanded to stretch forth his hand to his elder brothers, but I'm glad they didn't cut out how they were reminded of God's power.
The power of Nephi's faith and his testimony and courage have long been a great strength to me. I know in my heart that his witness of the wisdom and power of God is true. "If God were to command me to do all things, I could do them!" I hope to live humbly and faithfully before the Lord, even as Nephi.
Such a powerful and full of Spirit video clip! I testify that the Book of Mormon is so TRUE!! who can stand against it? I bet none.. but for you to know that it is TRUE YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!!!!
你们好!我是一名来自中国的成员。我爱天父。我爱耶稣基督。我爱你们每一个人!
Hello! I'm a member from China. I love Heavenly Father and I love our Savior Jesus Christ. I love everyone here!
你好哦!
你好! 我愛你的證詞!
We love you too!
Bless you, brother!
I love the little things they included in these videos, like:
- Everyone playing on the beach (it never occurred to me while reading the Book of Mormon that that would probably be one of the first things everyone would have wanted to do once they got there lol)
- Bits of dialogue that make the story more cohesive, like “You are not Moses, and this isn’t the Red Sea!”
- Laman, upon completing the ship, reluctantly turning to Nephi with a “you were right” face and going, “It is good.” And Nephi looking at him like “Wow good to see you finally admitting this commandment of God was a good idea thank you” (I like that even though Nephi doesn’t rebel against God and he isn’t violent, you can still see the natural human reactions he has towards his brothers. It makes you realize you can be annoyed with people but still treat them well, and choose to be righteous rather than punching the person you disagree with)
- LEHI GIVING A HORSEY RIDE TO HIS GRANDKIDS
- “It is a Bountiful land... WAIT WHY DIDN’T WE THINK OF THAT NAME YET LET’S CALL IT BOUNTIFUL”
- The fact Nephi prays out loud in some videos and mentally in this video, to portray that both types of praying are acceptable to God
- Nephi building an entire workshop before his brothers even notice because he works that fast (or they’re that oblivious)
- Nephi looking down for a second like “why” when they ask “What are you doing” because he fully expects them to not like what he has to say
- Sam standing at the side lines during the argument, fully expecting violence, so he stays close enough to step in if necessary
- “YEEESSSS WE GET HONEEEYYYY MMMMM”
- The camel watching the construction of the ship like “Yes good job everyone, looking good”
- Family prayer on the beach, including Laman and Lemuel
- The looks of anticipation from everyone before the ship sets sail
Tl;dr, The acting here is good, it’s true to the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Mormon is true.
Good insights
Mike don't start
You do realized the techniques they used to build the boat was invented a thousand years later right?

God, faith, love, obedience, and action. Good lessons for all. Thanks and special thanks to Lehi and Nephi.

You bless all who visually see... for those of us who already believed and had a testimony of the truth of the words in the Book of Mormon, brought forth through the power of our Father in Heaven to a young boy nearly 200 years ago.. Joshua Snyder The book is much better
All aboard!
@Mike Nephi obeyed the voice of the Lord immediately (quickly, swiftly) after hearing it. :)
@Mike How do you mean run?
We are so blessed to have the BOM in our lives ❤

It's great!
It's easy to forget that Nephi didn't even have tools before he was commanded to build a boat. He literally had to start from the ground up. I loved to see the whole family chipping in and working on it together. Excellent representation of these scenes from the book.

1 Nephi 18: 2 Now I, Nephi, did not work the timbers after the manner which was learned by men, neither did I build the ship after the manner of men; but I did build it after the manner which the Lord had shown unto me; wherefore, it was not after the manner of men
It doesn't matter how ship building worked at the time.

Thank you, I am aware, but behold, God has commanded us to profess the truth unto all men.

Arthr hslr I wish the BOM had more substantive support for me to believe in it. To each his own. I rejoice that you guys find comfort in the gospel.🙌🏽
So there’s 3 walls actually that block my path.🤔
Of the very little I know of Joseph Smiths testimony. He claimed to have seen the Father. Yet the Bible states:
“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”
John 1:18 NKJV
I know that Joseph Smith has his own unique translation of the KJV that the LDS don’t use upfront which is a bit sketchy (not just because it’s unique to their church but because LDS don’t use it upfront). It’s also convenient that he revised the Bible to place his name in there.
It’s interesting to note that the Son was in the bosom of the Father and because of this, the Son has declared him. No offense, but I’m not sure how Smith can stack up to that.
Christ stated himself:
“Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.”
John 6:46 NKJV
I talked to the missionaries about this because I was confused on that little detail and they said “He who is from God..” refers to the prophets who follow God.

This mini series has been very eye opening. Coming from someone of a different religious background.
Thanks for checking it out. What has stood out to you so far? Have you had a chance to read the Book of Mormon? These videos just touch the surface.
@@freebrownies I have read the Book of Mormon. What has stood out to me is how powerful faith can be.
@@kailaknight8826 So true! Thanks for sharing.
Kaila Knight well I was baptized about 30 years ago my life has completely changed I’m optimistic positive and I feel comfort every time I read the Book of Mormon Abraham is in Genis Old Testament and also Book Mormon pray about Book Mormon we pray Heavenly Father I ask thee or I thank thee and close in name of Jesus Christ children don’t know right from wrong as babies we baptize at age of age 8 cause by then they know difference and have been taught I love the gospel and am glad I’m a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for these latter days we have the fullness of the Gospel for these days I know and believe that God lives and is Resurrected
Book of Mormon Fridays are my favorite! I love seeing the stories I’ve grown up with, come to life. After watching each week, I go back and read the chapters that coincide with the videos. It brings an incredible new perspective and understanding.
I can't wait until I watch all of these in one binge session :)

@@BJ-rg8hj Some of us know the difference between novels and scripture. I wish you the best on figuring it out for yourself.
@@BJ-rg8hj A question for you: Has anything good come from your comments here?
@@BJ-rg8hj After so many comments, if there was any good that came from them you would see *some* indication, but all you've seen is faithful people either trying to help you or being annoyed that you are causing trouble. Nothing good has come from your comments. At best you're wasting time, and at worst you're inspiring negative feelings in others. What you are casting has nothing to do with truth, which is naturally why it hasn't taken root. I do not know the "Synagogue of Satan". I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. He is "the way, the truth, and the life", and I see God's hand in the Church. I experience so many things from day to day and from year to year that are a witness to me of God's power in my life, as great blessings. I could tell you all about it if you were genuinely interested in truth.
What I love about these episodes is how real Ishmael and his family become; personal and lovable for their GREAT faith. Thank you!
I think you mean Lehi's family.
KevlarX2 Umm... NO. I mean ISHMAEL and his family. They made the journey too. Their faith in God allowed them to recognize Lehi as a prophet and were willing to follow him. I don’t know about you, but most of us are like Ishmael and his family. We are not related to the prophet but we follow him because we know he is the Lord’s prophet. Ishmael and his family are but a small part in this journey but their faith was HUGE.
These are the highlight of my week!
Beautifully done. ❤️
This is my favorite episode now. beautiful direction, that first look of Nephi with the beard after 8 years was so good. Nephi had to tear off his sleeves because his arms got bigger :-) . I am now addicted and cant wait for the next episode
13:33, Laman's tender moment to his brother has me SHOOK. Is this a reenactment of history or a drama? Fantastic acting and interpretation!
I suppose it was inevitable that some folk from the "great and spacious building" would troll the remarks on these excellent videos. I, for one, appreciate the tremendous effort that was made to produce these videos. In my view, herein are captured essential elements of The Book of Mormon stories, and I greatly appreciate them.
I am thankful for this series.
What a shocking episode. I love watching them every Friday. Thank you so much. I wonder where this was filmed.
Yessss I waited all week for this episode to come out yesssssss
3:32 when your high five is rejected ;) these videos are awesome!! So excited each week to watch the next one!
Hahaha that's what I thought at first
That's too funny, I totally missed that when I watched for the first time.
I didn't oh well lol
lol
Easily my favorite episode yet!
Thank you again, watching the videos makes me easily understand the BOM
It's truly amazing that the people were willing to have faith in Jesus Christ while journeying across the oceans to the Americas.
I am so blessed by your bringing the Book of Mormon 3 demential. I am a very visual person. Now as I read or listen to the scripture I truly feel the Holy Spirit 🙏 . Thank you so much for bringing our book to life. It has me looking forward to reading more. God bless you.
I Love the way how obedient Nephi is Too keep the commandments of the Lord as of Lamen And Lemule they are not
I can’t wait to see Nephi’s brothers partying and then tie him to the ship and the storm happens I bet that’s what they do next week lol
Me too! I'm so into these!! I can't wait!!
Love these videos, they help me understand the book of mormon better
It's really uplifting to read all your (good) comments. It helps me ponder about important matters such as "obeying the Lord ... swiftly :)". And earnestly seeking the will of God in my life. So please, keep sharing :).
#BookOfMormon is awesome in all the ways of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Keep it up.
nefi finally lookin like he took some protein shakes. look at that beard boi!
It says in the Book that he was a great and powerful man, even from his youth both in his physical appearance and his spirituality and relationship to God, as was Moses.
Yup
How about 2 ½ hours in hair and makeup for that facial beard!
Hes another actor now, the nefi that lookes younger is currently serving his mission in brazil
Oh I love you Nephi...
I love these videos-they are so well done and it is uplifting to see the story alive.
My favorite Nephi who never murmur and complain just obey God's commandments with exactness.
Wow, these Book of Mormon videos are a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to watch a live action of the Book of Mormon, even when I was a kid.
Ever since, everyday is a test of faith. I love this very much!!!
I LOVE THIS VIDEOS I WATCH THEM WITH MY SISTER AND DAD SOMETIMES TOO
Thanks this has been very Comforting to me ... I need to get A Blessing ... But I have been inactive for a couple of years ... I have been in the hospital twice this year ... I don't want to get into all that Just wanted to say Hi to my Brothers And Sisters I Love You very much because We are ONE in The Spirit ... Thanks again for this
Hi, there, Sister. Remember that God gave us the Church to be a blessing for us. If nothing else, pray and study scripture, as often as every day. Nothing bad comes from that.
@@00Fisher00 Thanks that means a lot to me 💖
I absolutely love these videos
Laman and Lemuel's pessimism never ceases to surprise me 😂
I am more surprised by their robust portrayal. Laman (or was it Lemuel?) said, after some humbling experience, "it is good" to Nephi. The grin that came on Nephi's face was awesome.
@@ResidentKlinton laman looks like thorin from the hobbit movies. complete with wooly mullet.
@@raysalmon6566 Porque no los dos? We love the New Testament. We just love the Book of Mormon, too. Scripture is awesome.
@@raysalmon6566 Depends on who you talk to. Also, we don't call ourselves "Mormons" anymore, since the name distracts from the fact that we, first and foremost, believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.

These are the best Church videos that have been put out in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saut

so amazing wouw thanks the how make the video's I have now words to say how I feel I feel so enjoy
When I saw this video, I felt a peace, but now when I saw it again I felt same because is the God and it's true.
I love how they're y'all brotherly, cause I bet that's how it really was and Lamen and Lemual weren't completely bad, they loved each other

Loving these videos!
Love these videos😇
I am grateful for this video.
Nephi is faith without hesitation: Where shall I go to find ore that I may make tools? If the Lord commanded me to do all things I could do them. Such a powerful example.
I love to watch the story of book of Mormon... They tell us the faith and endure to the end of the follower of Jesus Christ
Me encantan los videos 😁
I recal Lamon and Lamuel saught to take Nephi's life before god commanded to stretch forth his hand to his elder brothers, but I'm glad they didn't cut out how they were reminded of God's power.
I just wanted to say that I love the people of this church! If anyone needed to hear that. @t
The power of Nephi's faith and his testimony and courage have long been a great strength to me. I know in my heart that his witness of the wisdom and power of God is true. "If God were to command me to do all things, I could do them!" I hope to live humbly and faithfully before the Lord, even as Nephi.
See?... SEE?!.. Even the Lord loves Star Wars
Such a powerful and full of Spirit video clip! I testify that the Book of Mormon is so TRUE!! who can stand against it? I bet none.. but for you to know that it is TRUE YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!!!!
