    Great video, Seth. If I had the money I'd pop for a B10X Plus, but it will have to wait awhile.

      Thanks Dan. If anything this might lower the cost of the original b10 plus or even check adorama used in a little bit prices might adjust unless you want this new release version

    About shutter Drag, i have A10 and A1x trying to fire the flash before closing the 2nd curtain as i selected in the menu, but it keep firing on the 1st curtain !! I am using canon EOS R6, I thought the issue was from my camera but i took off the profoto and used Godox V1 and everything work fine like i want, it firs the flash before the 2nd curtain close, any idea what is going wrong my expensive profoto product why it fire with 1st curtain and not 2nd curtain like i selected !?

      Yea it’s not a huge upgrade but it’s def an upgrade lol if you were looking to move up it’s a good time either with these units or lean towards the originals which I’m sure will soon see price adjustments.

    Where do you get the bars to mount on your ceiling for lighting?

    Looks like a nice refresh of the B10. Expensive, sure. But for a working pro, it's just another business expense to factor into the overall equation. If the lights will allow you to work more efficiently, with the confidence that the equipment will help instead of hurt the process, then it may be worth investing the additional money.

    Great creative use with these lights. For the last video section, what were your video settings to give me an idea of how much light they’re producing. ISO 800 at f4 or whatever it was.

    These would be super handy! Love the video Seth. I do have one question. You said you turned it all blue at 6500k but when I'm in LR or PS or whatever, 6500k is warm. Why that difference between the lights and the WB? You can see that in camera too, to get that WB warm you would go to 6500k or whatever. But those lights it cools it.

    • @eyeport
      @eyeport 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If at 6500k your photos look normal daylight balanced Or warmish... That means your light source is cool and bluish. You are white balancing that 6500k colour temperature. Hope that makes sense.

      A new remote is long over due. I hate not seeing the power level on the remote and having to count in my head or waiting for beeps when making changes.

    • @RBullCZ
      @RBullCZ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RayValdezPhotography That is what the Profoto Control app is good for. As I understand, the protocol Profoto is using in their Air remote system does not include the two way communication between the remote and the strobes but for a reason of reliability of the signal. From my experience, the Profoto remote is super reliable, which was not the case with neither Elinchrom and Godox I have been using before. For me it is a night and day difference and I gladly trade in the power displayed on remote trigger - especially if I can see it on my phone with Profoto Control app.

    As soon as PF has something similar to Godox AD100's, I'm spending up big and making the move. Until then, can't justify it.

    • @LastXwitness
      @LastXwitness 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I hear ya I mean I did the video on the flashpoint evolv 100. but honestly to put any modifiers on it you need a separate adapter which bulks up the size of the light anyways and more to carry and things to rely on. At least here with the b10 or even this new b10x that’s the same body design there’s no adapter you can jsut use profoto Mount rings and the ocf rings are pretty tiny, super light and still not all plasticy just something to think about .

    • @RayValdezPhotography
      @RayValdezPhotography 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @35mmraw
      @35mmraw 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RayValdezPhotography nope I am a real person. I have a high volume photography business in Australia. I need tens of flashes. PF would cost about $40,000 AUD to swap to. Have to stick with Godox

    • @RBullCZ
      @RBullCZ 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@35mmraw If your tens of AD100's work for you, you do not need to dream about Profoto equivalent because they would be still way more expensive than Godox. Look at the A1x, or A10, which is basically the AD100 power equivalent just different form factor. Profoto will never gonna be cheap to compete with Godox in price just see any accessories from Profoto - piece of plastic and rubber for $99 (OCF snoot, filter holder, etc...).

      It's all relative to what you shoot. This isn't "prosumer" level gear. If your main photography income is as a "natural light photographer" doing $250 senior portrait shoots 3 times a weekend for 6 months and only using this light to fill in some shadows, and the other 6 months of the year you do the occasional indoor studio headshot, it's probably not a very good investment. But, if you're a full-time working photographer doing $5,000+ wedding shoots nearly every weekend and product/headshot/fashion work M-F, that is a very different story.
