Dad started seeing double before Church one Sunday last summer. Took him to the emergency room, and he was having a stroke. He came through OK and is on medicine now. Will be 89 this year.
2 people I know told me within the last few months that they felt signs days before their stroke. Both said, they were getting clumsy and running into walls at home, dropping things, and both said they didn't know why that was happening. Talked to them separately and they don't know each other.
I had a stroke a year ago. I had no symptoms. I don't drink booze or eat junk food. I used to smoke a bit but gave that up four years ago. I just fell down one afternoon. Sometimes there are no specific reasons, sh*t just happens. The best advice I can give is to get a blood pressure machine, and use it regularly. They are not expensive, and it takes about a minute a day.
Did he say if you’re obese then you obviously have an unhealthy diet? Heck, no I used to be obese. I had an extremely healthy diet genetics does factor in!!!! it took a lot for me to lose that weight it took a long time and I lost over 150 pounds 18 years ago and kept it off! But I’m telling you nobody ate more fruits and vegetables than I did when I was obese! My diet wasn’t perfect. I was a couch, potato, hereditary played a factor stress played a factor….. just saying, maybe I’m an oddity, but that’s the truth
I thought they were going to tell us what are some of the symptoms that you are having a stroke the ones that dissipate within one or two days what are they? What are the signs that you’re experiencing that it’s a stroke
Vision problems dizzy muscles weak on one side ringing in the ears droop of the mouth and eye throwing up difficulty speaking one side of body not able to move correctly.
I had something happen to me that was very weird the other day after the dog knocked me down to the ground. I landed on my hip and my shoulder at the same time and my left leg went up over my right leg and it kind of pulled my groin a little bit not to mention it gave me a nice hit to my hip with a great bruise and the shoulder hurt for days. I opened my eyes and I saw all black and then I saw a orange round circle almost like a flame with my brain encased in a light pinkish purple type of liquid and as I looked at it I could see my brain shifting inside slowly, I close my eyes and opened up again and saw the same thing. Open my eyes for the third time and I was able to focus. Then I'm thinking what the hell just happened to me.
Really that's not completely true. Heathy foods keep you out of the Drs offices and off the expensive drugs and out of the hospital's. And as you age you have a hole lot better life. It's a investment in your life.
Use Aldi if you have one close. Their produce is much lower than other places. For example, our local Reisbecks has pineapple for $3.99 on sale this week. Aldi has it on sale for $1.49.
In these challenging days when finding and affording a doctor is more and more difficult, its imperative that we all take our health serious. Yes we all want to extract as much pleasure from life as we can, but junk food, smoking, booze and no exercise will lead you down the path to an assortment of ailments. Why you are young your body can compensate, but as we age our system is prone to malfunction, so you must do everything in your power to help your body, rather than hurt your body.
That one is idiopathic, but it's best to avoid kissing people you don't know that might have herpes or may have had glandular fever (also known as mononucleosis) because those things can do serious damage to your facial and cranial nerves. Think trouble moving your eyes, facial numbness/paralysis, tongue paralysis, hearing loss, trigeminal neuralgia (trust me you do NOT want this, it's horrible). Plus Ramsay Hunt syndrome which is almost as bad. Then you have Menieres syndrome (I don't call this a disease, it's really a syndrome) which causes ear fullness, ringing, balance and hearing problems. All of these things can make one feel as though life isn't worth living, at least for a while. They say steroids can work OK if they are administered early enough in the course of symptoms, but there is no guarantee. I have Menieres I believe and it's the bane of my existence.
I'm a couch potato because i have an enlarged heart. So i can't workout, i have to be a couch potato. I got an enlarged heart from working out too much. And i got high blood pressure at 15 years old from working out. So that whole thing about working out lowers blood pressure is bs.
You don’t have to be 100% couch potato. You’d still need to make short trips to the store, work some in the yard if you have one, potter about in the house, vacuum, do laundry.
He has a condition affecting his speech. They were getting negative comments. He works behind the scenes. I wish they would bring him back. There is no comedy now

So... what ARE the EARLY SIGNS you don't want to ignore??? This video is min-named- it tells NOTHING at ALL about early signs you don't want to ignore. It is ALL about risk factors and THAT IS ALL. I love ya, Bob and Brad - but I am very disappointed because I watched this whole thing hoping that you'd get to what was promised and not one single word... :(
Poor named video, sorry about that. It's mostly on the risk factors, it does name one sign you wouldn't want to ignore, being a TIA, but I will look into getting this title changed. Thanks for the feedback.

I just got diagnosed with heart failure, thanks for this info. Hugs from my new place I moved to Texas ❤❤
What a lovely real smile Mike.
Great Information. Thanks for sharing!
Good talk but need to fix title. These aren’t ‘signs’. They are risks. Title might slow someone down who is helping person with stroke.
Good information everyone needs to know.

Thank you for the info, tho a more accurate video title would be "Risk factors of..." rather than "Early signs..."
Thank you for the information
Thank you for this informative video.

Thank you! I appreciate this information. My endocrine system is apparently faulty at the gene level; however, one does what one can. ♥

Wow! How are you doing now?
Thank you.
Just lost my aunt to a stroke. She was having balance issues and cognitive difficulties.
Extremely helpful.❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the reminder to keep our blood vessels healthy !! 💙💙
Yes. Excellent video content.
Healthy food has become terribly expensive. So what is the alternative?
Really that's not completely true. Heathy foods keep you out of the Drs offices and off the expensive drugs and out of the hospital's. And as you age you have a hole lot better life. It's a investment in your life.
I don’t eat meat or processed foods. I buy organic produce and eggs. Groceries cost me about $50 a week.
This is a myth. Healthy food is actually cheaper than the bad stuff

You're welcome!

Have you ever made a video about Bell's Palsy?

Thanks for the valuable information. Is getting Plasma injunction into cartilage is gd?
Clotshot risk.😮
So low blood pressure (hypotension) wouldn't ever be a cause of a stroke?
Wrong. Slow moving blood means that your blood is too sticky or thick. Too low blood pressure is almost as dangerous as too high blood pressure.
Development of type 2 Diabetes is in a large part genetic. Not necessarily from a bad diet.
btw how is Bob doing?
He is doing well, thanks for asking!
@@BobandBrad Good to hear!

It's hard to exercise when you don't feel good to begin with

Where did the other guy go?
Died of a stroke.

@Ooops.x I wonder if he has all those challenges or if it is just a list of all the issues. AI gets things wrong sometimes.

Risk factors and "early signs of a stroke" are not the same things. I like you guys, but I resent this misleading title.
can't watch with the camera work. gave me a seizure.
Thank you.
