Poppy is such a pretty dog. She really is and she is so grateful that you gave her a chance at a better life. You can tell that by the way she is with you, greets you, wants to be with you and not like a separation anxiety situation. She is one amazing doggo. Well done Poppy. I'm so sorry for the damage to your vehicle. Guess no matter where you are in the world, accidents happen but it is more than annoying when it's someone who is drunk because they made a terrible choice to be stupid. I'm not going to apologize for that comment because it really is beyond stupidity that someone chooses to drink and drive. Having said that, you are all safe and no one was harmed. ONe thing about the Philippines, this is how and why people are so resourceful because we don't have the luxury of having insurance. At least for your average Pinoy. So the upside is, everything can be fixed and esepcially when it comes to small appliances. People get things fixed as opposed to throwing it away and buying a new one. Anyhow, take care and here's to more and safe adventures. I hope that incident didn't put off your brother and his partner.

The Kubo! I miss sleeping there in duyan with the sound of waves. Every after meal i always went straight back to kubo and sleep with dogs. 🥺🥺 I really want to go back in siargao. And I love the way they keep on smiling and laughing while fixing the car. Excited for another vlog ❤❤❤

For this video, the vpn ad was really really entertaining that I even checked out the actual vpn. hahaha. Great job! buuut idk, the bg music for this video was a bit gloomy. drama is good for the vlog. but I think the build up for the drama was too long because of the bgm. I'm just suggesting that the story telling should be like: build-up for fun>fun part>a bit of a dip for neutral energy> big dip for drama> return to nuetral energy for a positive ending. but if this is really your style the go for it. (I mean i'm watching because of your relaxing vibe vids but I think this episode got me a bit gloomy) but no worries, I bet your next vlog is gonna be more relaxing :)

I've always wondered. Siargao's a pretty decent sized Island. Are there waterfalls inland that's worth visiting? Are there caves, cenotes, or any hidden attraction other than the coastline? That would be content worthy imo.

Sacha the Surfer! Before you know it Story will be up on a board too. By the way I enjoyed the small bit about VPN by Poppy. That was really cute. For sure there are downsides in living ANYWHERE but I like that Jay bounced back into a positive mood.
I really love the beach view from your Siargao home. I’m going to miss seeing it when you guys build the other house. I miss seeing the water just looking out my window. Was fortunate to have a gorgeous view when we lived in Hawaii and during weekend trips to Pangasinan on Luzon as a kid. We only live about an hour from the beach now here in Florida but man do I miss those ocean views from my window. Would love to visit that area of the Philippines one day! 🫶🏼🌊💕

Sad to say, there are so many incidents here in the Phils where the car owners are on the disadvantage when cars are damaged by a motorcycle and the kamote drivers get away with it.

You’re definitely gonna need to replace that tie rod and get it aligned. It’s weakened now and could snap if you hit a pothole at highway speed. You’d have real problems then. This kinda accident can happen anywhere in the world honestly.

No handrail, it's an abandoned government structure but it has a fence around the base to stop people attempting to climb it. Super dangerous

Hi Jay! Is it the wheels? Might as well buy a full set from authorized car shops.
I got a full new set of tyres and new track rod ends from a Honda specialist. Now the car is at the paint shop having the wing repaired and painted. The total cost for repair is the same as a trip away on holiday. So it was a painful price to pay because of some drunk persons stupidity and dishonesty. But we are trying to put it all behind us and move on :-)

@@8milesfromhomeUnfortunately this is a cost of living in the Philippines and particularly in a tourist area. A large percentage of the population is too poor to be able to pay for the damages and the tourists are using rental vehicles that are usually uninsured particularly if they have been drinking.
@8milesfromhome so true especially in the provinces alot drive with no insurance and rental scooter, just bad luck can happen to anyone and in any country. Glad the Fam is same ❤
