I learned from a young age to resist hype cycles due to the impossible contradictions they exposed (for me, felt as frustration and disappointment), but it took me the longest to realize that Xmas was one of those cycles. And it wears down my resistances sometimes to the point where i buy into it on some level come actual Christmas Day. At such a point, i try to remind myself that the pressure mounts due to so many ppl making plans they otherwise don't, the 4 to 5 month lead-up in advertising, more ppl than usual having days off, and concentrated family schedule coordination to take full advantage of such a unique situation. It doesn't mean those plans and anticipations are free from illusions-if anything, illusions ramp up the more scarce the opportunity, and the more interpersonal ambivalence among the ppl building on that opportunity.
Ayyy, just picked up Seminar VI! His Graph has been an interest of mine, but as always, I tend to pick up the wrong books first. The version given in the Ecrits was a bit...lacking...in the detail I wanted.
Fantastic work! Thanks for such high quality discussions!

Thank you, I hadn’t realized until you mentioned it. Fortunately after a few days TH-cam will let me cut it out of the video.
