Peter, one of the greatest most powerful voices in rock music back in the early 70's. Rare Earth were such a talented band the likes of which we will never see again.
I marvel at what this man accomplished. At that California Jam, they were more than musicians. They were a force in the atmosphere that came down and just infused something amazing into the moment. I wasn't there, but it was so powerful that you can feel it just watching the video.
Such a great entertainer. I started liking him with Rare Earth when I was just home from being in the service, and when his band played in Columbus Ohio 1973 , my wife and I drove down there and had an awesome time. Wow what memories. Wish I lived closer to where he does his playing today.
A bit younger than him, but was a singer-drummer in that era. It was easy to bullsh*t the lyrics, so I really admired how he would clearly enunciate the lyrics with a strong melodic voice, even though so much was going on under the singing.
Went to school with Danny McCullough (sp). Even in 7 & 8th grade at Sacajawea he could play honky tonk like nobody's business.. I think between him and me we kept the powers that be on their toes. We were constantly in trouble.
Glad we saw the all band at Clearwater,Florida you rock...Naples.Florida

Legendary singer drummer. Bought the Get Ready LP back in 73.. God bless every member of the best rock band ever! 👏👏👏
I was born in 1959, so the late 60's / early 70's music was my era. Thank you, Peter, for being there when I needed you.

My absolute favorite voice in the
world. Hope he’s doing well. 🙏🏽
Peter, great man! Watching him perform live back then, was mesmerising.
Great interview! What a voice -- what a band.

Sounds like he did every time hear him. Takes me back to the knapsack album.
As well as being an immediately recognizable fantastic singer, what a grooving pocket drummer. Still!
Greatest of all time....
I saw "Rare Earth" in Fort Lauderdale around 2001. In a dingy room. The drummer was a big tall black guy. I knew something was up.
