- January 12, 1994 For almost twenty years Bill Walton did it all on the basketball court. From his great college days at UCLA to his championship years in the NBA. But it appears Walton has scored a few slam dunks off the court as well--namely his four sons. News 8's Hank Bauer with photojournalist Charlie Landon, has more on the Walton family's starting five--Adam, Luke, Nathan, and Christopher.
Rest in peace Bill Walton ❤
I miss him
Bill will be missed
Imagine having a Pops like Big Bill. RIP.
Watching him being a dad is the best video of all.

RIP, forever loved and missed in Boston. You were much more than a basketball player.
Crazy to see how Luke is the smoothest, most coordinated, and coolest out of the group and what do you know he is the one that made it all the way, crazy how genetics work
Great clip. Thanks and RIP Big Red.
Dam he was still taking it to those youngins
RIP Bill. Pain free at last.
House by Balboa Park San Diego where Bill rides bike and tries to deal with the homeless issue!
I lived there for 6 months
Myrtle way
@@Shabnation Nice area until the Homeless started over taking the entire Park Area which Bill went after Todd Gloria about his failed policies!
@@thomasgentry6201 ya that was an awesome speech by bill about the mayor and the homelessness
Great Dad, Rest in Peace.
Rip bill, great on and off the court 🙏❤️💐
It was great having him on the Celtics winning sweet 16 in 86,, he was so good off the bench, the best player to come off the bench as the 6th man since Kevin McHale and he was so good he won the NBA's 6th man award, thank you Bill for sweet 16,, you'll be missed, RIP Big Red, 🥲
Love you big guy throw it down

R.I.P BILL WALTON
You can tell which one of these sons was NBA bound by watching this…
Captions: "He's 6513 year old Luke."
Wow I didn't know Luke Walton was so old.
"Hey, do I get to play?"
"Pops, we don't want youn injured again."
RIP Big Red
Life!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not death
Luke...I am your father......
RIP....Dead Head 🎸 A great TV play by play not only a player...Dang he has strong genes they ALL look like him 😂
Luke had the better career both as a player and coach. He also got to play with prime Shaq and Kobe. That must have been fun
? Luke ain't going to the HOF

“I’m in La with some friends just like I’m Luke Walton “
❤️
NBA players make basketball look really easy against regular dudes.
🙌🏼🙌🏼
@0:56 Luke calls out "Lebron!!!!" on the hook shot. Time traveller confirmed.
He said “lil runner” I think or maybe “lil brother”
Dont need a blood test for his son thats for sure
Grwat video
Larry Bird and Danny Ainge huh? No BROTHAS at the Walton house huh?
There was no way that they weren’t gonna be straight. I just had to add that.
dam bill u could of gotten a bigger court for a millionaire
You mean he didn't get hurt here?
Met Bill way back, I'm 75 so must have met him when he was 17, 18. Had the biggest bycicle I've ever seen, nice guy, Wasn't too much into sports, just a big guy I'd see at the smoothy stand on coast hwy between Carona del Mar and Laguna Beach. Old camper behind were people hung out. See ya soon Bill
nice fish
Thanks for sharing that Sir, keep well.

What a childhood these boys must’ve had

30 years ago.. time goes fast.. love to see Bill spending what I’m sure he thought were the best times of his life. RIP LEGEND!!
RIP Bill. Missed forever.
Bill Walton is the absolute man. If he was born 30 years later, he would have had a massive career in the NBA and would be destroying it right now in the PODcast space. He had game and personality. Very lucrative combination.
Today surgeons could have probably corrected his congenital deformed feet which were the cause of his constant foot fractures. Back in those days they didn't really know how to correct the foot problems he had other than fuse the bones.
I think Walton would have had success in any time period but i think him growing up in the sixties and becoming a star in the 70s was the best perfect fit for him and his personality. Despite the injuries he still had a pretty impressive career in college and the nba.
It's crazy to think that such a charismatic guy was intensely shy and soft-spoken at one point. He worked hard to develop that part of his "game," too, so to speak.
RIP Bill Walton. The fact that 1994 was 30 years; three 3️⃣ decades ago, is insane. Where has the time gone to?
Time waits for no one homie!😊
Amen to that! I graduated from high school in 94. 48 years old now.
It slipped into the future.
Yep, it flies! Live your life every day to the fullest, and experience as much as you can. Life on earth is short.
@@themapmaker5374 for sure!👍🏼
Surprised only Luke made the nba they’re some big boys
For real I didn't even know he had other boys
Limited film but Luke was the most coordinated of the group.
I could tell off the bat that Luke would be the nba player he did a 360 dunk while the other brother barely got off that ground lol😂 RIP BILL
Luke had the best highlights here 😂. He was the one
Watched this the first time completely forgot about Luke and thought that hook shot looked nasty, Came back to see if Luke was on this.
Bill Walton. One of a kind. Special individual. Rest In Peace.
This made my day. Unfortunately, I had to watch it when I realized that bill passed away today. What a great group of guys. I know his boys will continue to make him proud. Rest in peace Bill. You were amazing beyond recognition. We love you❤
Great to see Bill moving fairly well here. I know he didn’t have nearly as many pain free days as we all wished for him
RIP legend.
When kids are involved . . . every relative knows . . . you play with them NOW --- and deal with the pain later!
#becausetomorrowmaynevercome
Rip
I had the biggest smile while watching this.
I used to run ball with Bill's oldest son Adam in the early 2000s. A very polite and humble young man with a soft shot, even at deep range. He usually took it easy on us. I also used to see Bill in the stands at Grateful Dead shows or riding his bike around the parking lot.
RIP Bill.

To rock your soul."
Essence of sports, having fun and compete.
Man what a legend Rest easy Big Bill
Lollll, thats cool, family fun with basketballl, a father & his boys enjoying some laughs & a lil trash talking....wonderful memories.
My condolences to his family and friends.
0:39 veteran move by Bill 😂
0:41 look how he's able to stay low and keep his stance
He must have been a great Dad too. RIP Bill Walton. 😢
90s culture was so wholesome. Glad I grew up in that time
Saw Bill and his two sons watching pick up games in the mid-80s in Manhattan Beach, CA at Marine Ave Park (if memory serves). Just watching, not playing. He was pointing things out to his sona that players were doing. Also saw Howie long, Danny Schayes and Dave Wohl play there. Played against Schayes and Long in full court pick up games. Bill was in instruction mode with his sons, then much younger than in this video. A great dad.
Great video and rest in peace 🙏 🪦 Bill Walton
Man lived the life God bless you
Love his fist pump at the end. RIP big guy.
This video is awesome!!! So fun to see Bill Walton & his sons play some friendly b'ball in the backyard with some bragging rights at stake!
R.I.P. Bill Walton.
Rough backyard games were nothing new for Bill Walton. His older brother Bruce was a lineman for the Dallas Cowboys, since he was "only" 6'6.
Bill you are the father 😂
Lmfao 😂😂
Incredible person. Beautiful center. 🏀
Luke only one to have a successful NBA career? He had a great teacher. R.i.P. Legend 😢
Ive been out there too. We met Bill's uncle in Ray's Tennis shop and he invited me and my roommate to play tennis in the mid 80s. They have a pool and tennis court back there too somewhere.
Imagine being blocked out by your dad except your dad is Bill Walton lol
Wish that kind of music was still mainstream instead of shitty mumble rap
Love it! RIP Bill♥♥
Nice to see father and sons together...
Luke Walton was a great player, then a great coach.
I had no idea Bill was still capable of moving like this by 1994, I was under the impression he was completely incapable of playing after the NBA due to his feet. This is awesome to see. Hard to believe I'm almost already the age he is here. I was about 100 days old when Bill played his final NBA game with the Celtics. Life goes quick.
It’s all good you still got a good 30 years left, I got bout 40🥲
Sweet video! May he R.I.P. !
A great person, basketball player, and personality. Deeply deeply missed. RIP Bill
His sons must have so much nostalgia watching this clip
Rest in Paradise legend
