I also HATE sunglasses. I refuse to wear them even when I'm driving. I feel like I can't see anything. No one understands me, so I'm stoked that you do 😅🥲
I'm the same!! I also feel like the pressure of the glasses on the bridge of my nose gives me a headache, even super lightweight glasses. I wear them for like max 5 minutes at the beach 😭
I am so glad you guys are back to posting your podcast! The 2 of you gave me the gift of laughter when I was at the lowest point of my life. The positive energy you put out helped me keep going IDK if you guys still have the RELAX cell phone, but I sent you a long text last year. I also have a poll on my TikTok pg where over 20k people laughed along with y’all debating whether September or January was the 1st month of the year. (Sorry Erik, we voted with Colleen on this one.) Thank you for being real and authentic, and sharing both the good and the bad. Your strength in continuing to fight when you weren’t sure you could, Colleen…well you helped me keep fighting too. Thank you both so much. 🩵🩵🩵
The vlog where you showed us the footage of you hearing the drumming sound in the night, if you turn up the volume, you can hear the drumming noise. Colleen, you should show the video to Erik so he can hear it.
It always cracks me up when you guys say “they don’t wanna hear about pillow preferences and sunglasses” or whatever it is but that kind of convo is usually my favorite part of the podcast🤣
I feel the exact same about sunglasses! But I also have pretty bad astigmatism and hate driving at night. I hate sitting in dark rooms. Wearing sunglasses feels like dimming the light switch which just feels frustrating to not be able to see fully
Hi Colleen & Erik, I just wanted to share something with you! I'm here visiting my boyfriend in Washington! I'm from Australia, we are long distance. The other day we were having a beautiful day near Seattle, when all of a sudden I started feeling really anxious with no explanation (Love anxiety). We were on our way to the beach and as soon as we got there I began looking for sea glass, after thinking of you and Erik. It quickly quietened my mind and I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration and helping me through that. I'm so excited to go seaglass hunting more often now, I think I've found a new hobby. Thank you for all the joy you've ever brought me, I'm such a long time viewer. Love the rock & seaglass content so much 😭❤️
Generally, people with lighter colored eyes are more sensitive to light. I have blue eyes and I don't go anywhere without my sunglasses. I even see better driving in the rain during the daytime versus without wearing them. They are also helpful in preventing wrinkles caused by squinting.
I loved this!!! The spooky stories, the dolphins, the pillow preference (LOL!), and the angel encounter. Made me shiver, laugh, and gasp. By the way, I too have had a spirit episode. In the dark, in my bed, very upset over my twin brother who was hospitalized at the time with internal bleeding. I was probably 15 or so, sobbing and upset over his situation. A dark shadow figure appeared next to my bed, but through my teary eyes I could not really make it out. But I know one thing. I was not frightened. I was overcome with a calmness. I blinked, and the figure disappeared. A few days later my brother made it out of the hospital. I felt relieved, and I will never forget that messenger, whoever it was. Like it was telling me, everything is going to be ok.
Fun fact! Eye color affects how much light can enter your eyes. I have blue eyes and going outside in bright light def obstructs my vision. Everything is super over exposed and bright. Wearing sunglasses helps me see better! It makes sense that sunglasses could actually obstruct vision for people with darker eyes and less light sensitivity.
Colleen! I got the chills about the rubbing back story. I experienced that as an adult. I was going through a tough period and I slept crying that night. Then I felt somone petting me kind of, and even covered me with the sheet. It was scary and comforting at the same time 😢
Anybody else listening with headphones hear Eric and Colleen from separate earbuds when they go to the beach?! It sounds like Colleen on my left and Eric on my right and it’s CRAZY hahahah
Me. I HATE SUNGLASSES and refuse to ware them. They obstruct my vision, I get dizzy, they fall off if I bend down or something. Ugh. Nope nope nope. Just don’t look directly at the sun. Period. I stand with Colleen on the sunglasses.
I feel the same way about sunglasses. It’s equivalent to me feeling like my vision is blurry. I feel like they keep me from seeing to my fullest potential
I too never really wear sunglasses. It dims the light so much that it is difficult to see everything. Every once in a while I need them to drive (if I am driving into the sun), but other than that, I don't use them.
Colleen! You’re not alone at all with the sunglasses hatred. My bf has super sensitive eyes so he thinks I’m crazy for hating them but I just do! They actually GIVE me a headache more than they prevent them. I don’t have light sensitivity so I don’t need them and I agree that it feels like it actually hinders my vision.
I never comment on anything but I felt very inclined to say that I absolutely cannot stand sunglasses because they make me feel so blind and nobody has ever agreed with me on that and when you said they make you feel blind I was like oh my gosh no way, I really thought I was the only one
I cannot believe someone else feels the same way about sunglasses! I have always secretly felt this. I even get thin sunglasses so I can wear them but just look over the top SO I CAN SEE 😂
My place is HAUNTED!! When I moved into my house it was definitely not haunted but I am an antique dealer and collector so it definitely is haunted now. 😅 My partner and I joke about how we can tell the difference when I bringing something home that is haunted or not. I refuse to use sage in my house because some of the ghosts are just nice and hanging out. We even have a cat ghost that showed up a month before my cat passed away! Twice now I had to remove something from my property so I could sage it to bring it back to my house to sell,😂 both of those items were glass vanity decor acquired months apart. Creepy stuff
Ahh! seeing the pieces of china that Eric found unlocked a memory I have when I went to Italy in 2019 and we were sitting beside the sea for lunch. The water was so clear and beautiful. I walked in half way with my clothes on (I just couldn’t miss out on the opportunity) and found tons of hunks of marble and pieces of pottery. It was incredible and there was SO MUCH of it. It was dreamy and I love to imagine what that marble was apart of once and who saw it and touched it before I found it at the bottom of the sea.
Colleen you can clearly hear the ghost drums in the background of your vlog, it gave me chills, I listened over and over again and the drums are loud and clear!!!! Very scary yet so cool!!
The sunglasses ordeal is literally me! I went to Morro Bay this weekend and I literally told my friend my vision is obstructed, but okay I’ll wear them. I took them off two minutes later! I’m with you Colleen!!!!
I’m so glad the podcast is back🥹 been enjoying every single episode. My boyfriend bought me a relax crewneck last year for Christmas because I talked about your funny podcast topics a bunch with him and it was one of my favorite gifts💞
You're not alone, Colleen. I also hate sunglasses, never wear them. Never saw the point, you can't see as well with them and no one ever understood it.
ME TOO Colleen!!!!! SUNGLASSES. SAMEEEE I am very similar to you with them. I have worn them while driving at times but it doesn’t last long. I prefer to not wear them at all. I agree, I feel like it blocks my vision and dislike the feeling/ if it sticks to my nose etc.
I totally agree about all the points about the sunglasses Colleen! I want to like them. I like them as a headband. Sunglasses are an obstruction of my vision when I try to wear them!
Coleen my mom is exactly the same way!!!! She does not like sunglasses!!! Also has the phone light on highest !!! My mom feels the same way that sunglasses block her view too!! You guys could be besties!!!! Love you guys and we watch you all the time!!!!! ❤️
Hi guys! Just an FYI Colleen, people with light colored eyes ( blue for me) are more sensitive to the light than Brown eyes peeps! It can actually be painful just because of the brightness!
I have chills all the way in Pennsylvania 😂 Also, not me screaming when you read my comment. I have been following Colleen’s vlogs for years and the podcast since it started. Literally can’t start my day without a vlog or podcast.
I feel the same way. I wear them when I’m outside or driving BUT if I’m looking at anything or trying to find something I always lift them up to see better. It like alters my vision. It’s like when people ask why someone brightness on their phone is so low how can you possibly see anything with such a dark screen? Lol I feel understood but I love sunnies, just can’t see well out of them ugh
Colleen you should call the show Kindred Spirits!! Not sure who your ghost hunter friend is, but Kindred Spirits (on Discovery and Max) is all about being kind and respectful of the entities and finding out if they need help to move on.
I also hate sunglasses! I totally agree they make everything look different and it’s much harder to see with them even in the brightest sun. It just bugs me out that everything looks different darker, or a weird shade.
I can’t see when I wear sunglasses either!!! Like I caaaaan but it is not enjoyable and it definitely impedes my vision more than helping. Having brown eyes helps with this because I’m not overly light sensitive.
Hi Colleen!!! Been watching you since probably 2012-2013. ANYWAYS, I went to Washington DC recently and outside the Smithsonian natural history museum is a big thing of banded iron with jasper right outside the museum (you can look up a picture but doesn’t do it justice) and the museum has a whole geology and rock section that I couldn’t help but think how much you and your family would literally lose your minds over!!! If you ever get the chance to go, DO IT!!!

I hate wearing sun glasses toooo but I still force myself to bc eventually I somewhat get used to them but the first 10-20 mins it bothers me and I feel like my vision being obscured
I agree with Colleen about the sunglasses! It’s also the same reason I hate hats, because it obstructs my view! Whereas, my husband won’t even drive a car if he doesn’t have sunglasses. The second his eyes are outdoors, he needs sunglasses lol😅
I am also the same about sunglasses, now it may sound dramatic but I feel claustrophobic with them on, because I feel like I can’t see anything 😅😂 I agree with everything you said Colleen 🥲
Whenever Colleen talks about the drums, I think of the sound that the Jumanji board makes in the movie. Which is hands down one of the most unsettling noises I have ever heard and it makes my skin crawl every time 🥴
The sunglasses thing is textbook sensory processing disorder. I have heard Colleen describe a hatred for tags in her shirt and stickers. I see you girl. Me too ☺️
I don’t wear sunglasses either. I wore them sometimes when younger but that was more for looks. As my eyes got worse I stopped wearing them all together because being able to see is more important.
I also disliked the fact that they made things darker and harder to see. My eyes aren’t sensitive so I preferred to perhaps have to squint a bit then grow around in the darkness.
I loveeee you both!! The beach part was amazing! I think Erik was really not feeling the spooky vibes, he felt so out of it that made that section a little slow 😢
COLLEEEN!! I AM WITH YOU ON THE SUNGLASSES!! I hate sunglasses.. the way they feel on my face is such a sensory overload! i am grateful I don’t wear regular glasses cause I truly cannot handle it! I am with you! 😂
Why am I laughing so hard at Colleen calling Erik “guy” and Erik is like … “GUY??” and she just moves on 😂
Burning 6 different scented candles at once and sitting right next to them is CRAZY BEHAVIOR 😂 I'd get such a headache
No seriously 😂 if I burn one bath and body works candle for like 10 minutes I’m SICK!! Couldn’t imagine them all lit at once 🥴💀
Word 😂😂😂
Lol right? I have a headache at the thought😅😅
Same 😂😂😂or get unscented 🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
I would literally vomit
I also HATE sunglasses. I refuse to wear them even when I'm driving. I feel like I can't see anything. No one understands me, so I'm stoked that you do 😅🥲
i HATE sunglasses i think I’ve owned maybe 3 pairs in my life. They’re uncomfy and annoying so I feel
I'm the same!! I also feel like the pressure of the glasses on the bridge of my nose gives me a headache, even super lightweight glasses. I wear them for like max 5 minutes at the beach 😭
I'm the same, lol
I’m with you!!!
Me too!! It must be an ADHD thing.
I am so glad you guys are back to posting your podcast! The 2 of you gave me the gift of laughter when I was at the lowest point of my life. The vlog where you showed us the footage of you hearing the drumming sound in the night, if you turn up the volume, you can hear the drumming noise. Colleen, you should show the video to Erik so he can hear it.
which vlog is that?
I’m screaming “GAH!!!! THE DOOR *LATCH* HITS THE *STRIKE PLATE*!!! “
Colleen, you should bring over the psychic that did your readings at the other house and see if she picks up anything!!!
Colleen is definitely right on the sunglasses plus the darker someone’s eyes are the less sensitive their eyes are to the sun
She has the jumanji game under her house! That’s why she hears the drumming haha
That makes so much sense! Lol🤣
It always cracks me up when you guys say “they don’t wanna hear about pillow preferences and sunglasses” or whatever it is but that kind of convo is usually my favorite part of the podcast🤣
You should check the toys' batteries. Sometimes when the batteries deteriorate they create a connection that causes the toys to go off randomly.
I feel the exact same about sunglasses! But I also have pretty bad astigmatism and hate driving at night. I hate sitting in dark rooms. Wearing sunglasses feels like dimming the light switch which just feels frustrating to not be able to see fully
At 25:40 there’s an orb! Only one throughout the entire video so I don’t think it’s dust or something caused by the candles.
Yes, i saw it too!
I saw it too but its so small i thought it has to be dust
Definitely an orb. Thats a great callout!!!
Hi Colleen & Erik, I just wanted to share something with you!
I'm here visiting my boyfriend in Washington! I'm from Australia, we are long distance. Having blue eyes out in the wild where the sun shines bright, brutal! I'm a fair skinned freckle person too!
Meee tooo I HAVE to wear sunglasses lol
Same here, it’s blinding!!
Same here! My optometrist made me get prescription sunglasses because of how light my eyes are and how light sensitive that makes me.
Ya, she has brown eyes tho. I guess that’s probably why.
I have very very light brown eyes and I can’t walk when the sun is too bright,I can’t see and my eyes are watering like crazy 🙂
I am the same way with sunglasses! I feel like the tint always throw me off and feel like I can’t see!
I absolutely heard the drums 🪘 on your vlog!!
RIGHT!!!!!! Me too!!!
I AM THE PERSON THAT FEELS THAT WAY COLLEEN! I hate sunglasses and feel like I can’t see the second I put them on!
Generally, people with lighter colored eyes are more sensitive to light. I have blue eyes and I don't go anywhere without my sunglasses. I even see better driving in the rain during the daytime versus without wearing them. They are also helpful in preventing wrinkles caused by squinting.
The puppets have become like Elf on a shelf 😂😂😂
I loved this!!! The spooky stories, the dolphins, the pillow preference (LOL!), and the angel encounter.

the beach segments should be a weekly thing!
Anybody else listening with headphones hear Eric and Colleen from separate earbuds when they go to the beach?! It sounds like Colleen on my left and Eric on my right and it’s CRAZY hahahah
I’ve worked for Lowe’s for 17 years so the door latch convo makes me chuckle 🤣 pretty sure you got it right the first time “latch”
I can't drive without sunglasses. My eyes are too light and the rays from the sun blind me without them!
This was actually my favourite episode, I love the vibes, stories and the beach segment !
hearing erik talk about his finds was so cute!!!
YESSSSS! More spooky episodes! I loved the lights off/candles/ghost story feel!
The toy thing could be the vibration when you walk past it it probably just rubs up against whatever basket it’s in and makes it go off
I too never really wear sunglasses. It dims the light so much that it is difficult to see everything. Every once in a while I need them to drive (if I am driving into the sun), but other than that, I don't use them.

Wait, you have a Quija?! No wonder your house is haunted!!😳 Oh and YES, more spooky episodes please!!!☺️
I never comment on anything but I felt very inclined to say that I absolutely cannot stand sunglasses because they make me feel so blind and nobody has ever agreed with me on that and when you said they make you feel blind I was like oh my gosh no way, I really thought I was the only one
That was a fun podcast! I kept looking for things to move behind you two. 😄
same!!!!😂
If the sun is out I don’t leave the freaking house without my sunglass … Colleen your take is so wild to me🤣
I cannot believe someone else feels the same way about sunglasses! I have always secretly felt this. I even get thin sunglasses so I can wear them but just look over the top SO I CAN SEE 😂

It's your reflection on the windows and the 🌬️🌬️🌬️ hitting the windows. Throw the toy away. 😊😊😊
Sunglasses make me so claustrophobic!!! I never wear them! I’m with Colleen on this one

Coleen! Same!!! Sunglasses make me feel like I can’t see anything at all!!!i have never ever been able to see through them!
Love the beach segment! It actually felt more relaxing.
Thank you Colleen and Erik for the haunted house episode!!! LOVE IT!!!! Hope there’s more to come
Colleen I completely agree with the sunglasses and always needing a light on or brightness up on the phone! I completely agree
Always wanted a spooky episode!👻
Colleen you can clearly hear the ghost drums in the background of your vlog, it gave me chills, I listened over and over again and the drums are loud and clear!!!! Very scary yet so cool!!

Do you think the drumming sound could have been the washing machine during the spin phase? It can be really loud
podcast at the beach is SUCH a vibe yas >>>>
You're not alone, Colleen. I also hate sunglasses, never wear them. Never saw the point, you can't see as well with them and no one ever understood it.
i always take off my sunglasses to “see better” lol even if it’s bright outside i feel like i can’t even see
Im totaly agree with Colleen about sunglasses!
I am all for the outro song on xylophone. What a fun way to have it. Sending love from Los Angeles 💜💛
I’m 1000000% on your side Colleen with the whole sunglasses thing I agree with you!
ME TOO Colleen!!!!! SUNGLASSES. SAMEEEE
I am very similar to you with them. I have worn them while driving at times but it doesn’t last long. I prefer to not wear them at all. I agree, I feel like it blocks my vision and dislike the feeling/ if it sticks to my nose etc.
I’m especially excited for this episode bc everything spooky is right up my alley!
I totally agree about all the points about the sunglasses Colleen! I want to like them. I like them as a headband. Sunglasses are an obstruction of my vision when I try to wear them!
I can sooo relate to Colleen and the whole sunglasses thing 💯 So glad I’m not the only one 😄
I love when they do spooky episodes so much!!
When I wear sunglasses it messes with my depth perception. Many times I have almost fallen down stairs because of them.
The though of ghosts really freaks me out, like REALLY freaks me out.
Colleen, you should bring over the psychic to look over the house and see if she picks up anything!
That talk show ... it was John Edwards. Remember watching him.
Colleen, I also hate wearing sunglasses! My vision gets blurry!
More beach episodes please!!
13:57 what was noise in the background??
I have chills all the way in Pennsylvania 😂
Also, not me screaming when you read my comment. I have been following Colleen’s vlogs for years and the podcast since it started. Literally can’t start my day without a vlog or podcast.

I love picking out and ordering sunglasses …. Never do I wear them 😜
I can’t see when I wear sunglasses either!!! Like I caaaaan but it is not enjoyable and it definitely impedes my vision more than helping. Having brown eyes helps with this because I’m not overly light sensitive.
I don’t wear sunglasses either Colleen! They are just too much of a pain. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I used to hate sunglasses too but now cant go out without them. I hated the rim of them and felt like that was obstructing a lot of my vision so it was an adjustment period getting used to them. Now I realize how much I was squinting and giving myself wrinkles and probably going to give myself cataracts too and cant go out without them. Poralized aviators are good for being light on your face and not very noticeable.
I hate wearing sun glasses toooo but I still force myself to bc eventually I somewhat get used to them but the first 10-20 mins it bothers me and I feel like my vision being obscured
I typically only where sunglasses when I’m driving, so I get you girl.
I love the excitement you both have talking and looking at marbles and sea glass. ❤😂
I agree with Colleen about the sunglasses! It’s also the same reason I hate hats, because it obstructs my view! Whereas, my husband won’t even drive a car if he doesn’t have sunglasses. The second his eyes are outdoors, he needs sunglasses lol😅
I feel the same as Colleen about sunglasses 100%!
Colleen my husband HATES sunglasses!!! He feels the exact same way as you do!!
I am also the same about sunglasses, now it may sound dramatic but I feel claustrophobic with them on, because I feel like I can’t see anything 😅😂
I agree with everything you said Colleen 🥲
Whenever Colleen talks about the drums, I think of the sound that the Jumanji board makes in the movie. Which is hands down one of the most unsettling noises I have ever heard and it makes my skin crawl every time 🥴
I love you guys! Sleep well tonight, Colleen, no spooky dreams.
Where a visor cap, Colleen!
I loved the beach segment, more of those!
The sunglasses thing is textbook sensory processing disorder. I have heard Colleen describe a hatred for tags in her shirt and stickers. I see you girl. Me too ☺️
I literally hate sunglasses & feel the same way! I also always have my phone brightness up! You are NOT THE ONLY ONE that feels this way!!!
This was lots of fun! Thanks.
Colleen BTW i did 100% hear the drum sounds on your last vlog when you pointed it out. If you listen with headphones, it's there
Me too!!! I heard them loud & clear!
Whoa! The plot twist with the puppets was so unexpected! I love that
Same Colleen. I will look with my hand over my eyes as a sun visor until my eyes close when its too bright outside. No sunglasses for me
COLLEEEN!! I AM WITH YOU ON THE SUNGLASSES!! I hate sunglasses.. the way they feel on my face is such a sensory overload! i am grateful I don’t wear regular glasses cause I truly cannot handle it! I am with you! 😂
