    I get tears in my eyes because of songs like this one , because I am proud that there were young female artists like her who cared enough about us kids living in the ghetto around the world....between all the violence crime drugs and hedonism , there were kids like Ms.Dynamite who said it takes more to confuse a girl like me....I hope she is living her best life.

    I first heard this banger when I was 11 years old. And it was my favorite songs back in the day. I used to watch the music video on VHS almost everyday. As I got older I stared listening to the lyrics carefully..I found out that this song was ahead of its time. I am 31 now. And I still love this song❤

      Well yes - my old man gave me a talk back in the 70s when I was a teenager about diamonds, gold and the situation of Africans in the countries where those things are mined. I never forgot that talk, even today at 59 years old I have never bought or worn jewellery with precious stones or metals.

He was asked which British artists he liked and he mentioned Ms Dynamite. He said quite a few positive things about her and her music and that was pretty cool.

    just listened to this for the first time in, probably 20 years or so? I remembered it but I never really appreciated the lyrics. very meaningful and underrated song.
