- In this video, I show you how to use the drag features of the 2019 Dodge Challenger 1320 such as the transbrake, line lock, and launch control.
Just about a week ago we purchased our 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320 that we are using as a long term test vehicle for Moparinsiders.com. For those that do not know the Challenger 1320 also known as the baby Demon comes loaded with drag features borrowed from it's big brother the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, such as the suspension, rear differential and the aforementioned transbrake. Another unique feature of the 1320 is the torque reserve system also borrowed from the Demon, but this car is powered by the 6.4-liter 392 cubic-inch HEMI V8.

The 1320 is the coolest NA vehicle on the market, as well as the quickest and would be awesome to have one. You will love line lock if you've never experienced it, and have the Z-auto burnbox in my chally srt8 which enables the front brakes to lock up. Is a heck of a lot better than the traditional hydraulic systems that they've had for years on the market and really like their products, but customer service has a lot to be desired and could be a lot better. Well cool, I'm looking forward to seeing your new machine in action and blowing away the competition 👍🏽🏁
You see I'm a person who's gonna literally rip all those " Special Parts " off just to add my own aftermarket parts like Corsa, UPR, BBK, etc. anyways so spending all that extra money for a 1320 versus a " New-Used Basic Scat Pack " so I ended up rolling with a 2018 Challenger RT Scat Pack with the 6.4 liter Hemi 392 and it had only 14k miles on it and at the time it was completely stock but I've slowly added all my choices 4 bolt ons so now I'm at a constant low 11's on shitty street tires that literally came with my Staggered Demon Wheels so I've been just roasting them all over the place but I'm about to replace the back tires with a nice drag radial but last time I ran the dragstrip techs pulled me off 2 the side and told me I can't run like that again without a full face helmet so I went and bought a helmet now smh lol. But I'm honestly impressed by how much that 392 has literally woke up with a Cold Air Intake System, Catback Exhaust System, 90 mm Throttle Body and a Diablosport Trinity T2 Platinum Tuner running on the computer plus of course my oil catch can which I know doesn't add power but always a must do for all my vehicles to save the life of my block and is ALWAYS the 1st thing I do when I get a new vehicle because you'd be surprised how much stronger your motor will run plus I've noticed in my Scat Pack is also runs alit cooler without all that sludge building up in the motor.

on the street, is the TransBrake and Launch control effective or are those features only useful at the drag strip? Is there alot of spinning on the street even with transbrake and launch control in a stock 1320 in the street only?

You can't get the Shaker hood with the 1320... but yes, you can get a black hood
Is drag mode equal to track mode on the regular scat? I want a 1320 but I want to be able to get power on the highway as well

After 500 miles does DRAG MODE become available automatically or do you need to have the dealer activate it? Thank you
@Pete-lz5eg I've been racing mine for over a year now. No dealer required. Soon as you hit 500 miles, all the performance pages are available. However, Dodge recommends a 1,500 mile break-in before you start racing, and that's exactly what I did.
@@artillerybuff2000 thank you I am picking up a 23 1320 next week in Tampa. I didn't get a chance to build one to my spec so I had to search for 1320s and a good deal. Very tough but found one. Thank you for all your videos and quick reply back.
What is the rpm range of the transbrake? Max 2300 like the demon?

You see imma person who is gonna rip all those cool little upgrades right off my Scat Pack so I can install my own performance mods so I wouldn't purchase a special model like the 1320 so I ended buying a New-Used Scat Pack Challenger with 14k miles on it and it's my 3rd Challenger I've owned but my last 2 were 5.7 liter Hemi but my Challenger I'm driving now is a basic 392 6.4 liter Hemi Scat Pack I guess you can say but it's not stock anymore and in all actuality I started looking ripped sh!t off of it and slapping performance parts of my choosing only 2 weeks after I purchased it I already had a full Corsa Catback Exhaust System, Corsa Closed Box Air Intake System, UPR Oil Catch Can, 90 mm BBK Throttle Body along with Throttle Body Spacer and I've been running a Diablosport Trinity T2 Platinum Tuner installed on the computer so those big but actually pretty simple things definitely woke my car up and I actually never took it to the 1/4 track b4 the mods so couldn't tell you what it'd run completely stock with me behind the wheel but I'm running a solid time consistently now though a the track tech pulled me off the track just the other day and told me I'm not allowed to ever run my car again without a full head helmet so I had 2 go purchase a helmet which is pretty nice I bought from my buddy who has tons of helmets because he literally has 4 different street bikes that are scary fast he runs so his big a$$ garage has tons of helmet because so let me pick one out and the matte black helmet I chose I bought off of him for a $100 and it's literally a $600 helmet but he insisted it was fine 🤣. But I'm actually pretty proud of my Scat Pack and it honestly really surprised me with just those bolt ons because of how heavy it is but I use mine as a daily driver so I can't do too many things that are crazy but all I really wanna do now too it is rip the back seats out and maybe online I can find a " delete kit " like I did 2 my 03' Mustang Mach 1, then I want a different carbon fiber hood plus a carbon fiber trunk so that's gonna shed quite some pounds of of " Vader The Challenger "
