Hi Lisa! You could washi the pages before you sew them in next time. You could also tape/glue paper to them like you did to extend the spine - before you sew them in. Looks great, and really fun!

Lisa you can buy thick masking tape...stick it onto a silicone mat, colour it with acryic/watercolour paint and even stamp on it if you like...then you can reinforce your spine and pages with it....you can even use a strip of fine fabric...

I think the strangest things sometimes when you said that the word Suesenstien popped into my head like from Frankenstien lol but then I said shes going to make this buetiful like she does everything so I cant call it that so I settled on Sues reencarnate lol I'm silly. I do feel like that too which is why I've held on to things for so long 😀 I'm trying to be less precious this year and use stash up xx

This would be a good way to repurpose baby books that have seen better days! (I've seen some kids that are less than gentle with the pages)
