Kylie was hesitant at first about doing this and it was Jason who persuaded her to go back for the finale. I’m so, so glad he did, because she would have regretted it afterwards.

@@theresonlyonetruep3 Kylie has always had a slight embarrassment of the 80s, it took her a long time to embrace her 80s hits and start singing them again, so maybe she thought going back to Neighbours was a step too far
Very glad Jason totally did the right thing to persuade her to go back ...otherwise that finale would be missing something significant and she would later regret it! Nice one both for coming back for the very special event.

My parents got me my first doll when neighbours began and I named her charlene, I still have her to this day. Memories.
This show is definitely going to be missed, one of the earliest soaps I can remember growing up with
Haven’t watched it since the 90s, and it became a completely different show to when it first aired, from what little I’ve seen. The first few years of this show were great but only appealed to a small minority in the end.
I love how they just randomly shoved in as many old faces as they could. Kudos to the producers and writers for having to hastily rewrite an ending in a relatively short space of time. Storylines are written months in advance and everything planned was scrapped in a moment.
I know, I felt so bad for them for all the time and hard work they had put in in advance gone to waste 💔 Shame on the people who pulled the plug with such short notice literally overnight

Back in the day I remembered watching the wedding episode so good to see they are still friends and have that love and care for each other

as a 15 year old who has watched this show with my mum, ever since I can remember, i'm SO SO SO sad to see it go :(
my mum has watched it ever since it first aired 37 years ago, and she feels so bittersweet about everything. her favourite storyline was anything to do with charlene, and mine was the matt accident all the way back in 2015 i think. I was only 8 or 9 when i saw it but it's genuinely had such an effect on me and I will remember this show forever in my heart.
i love you neighbours !!! thank you for the happiness and the love and the emotions you have given me and my mum over the years. i'll always remember and love you guys

It was better than not returning at all, but I agree, it was odd that she didn't speak more. I do wonder if the theory that her people demanded too much money for more dialogue is accurate.

I love this. Kylie and Jason's albums were the first albums I ever owned (at the age of 4) ...because of neighbours! I LOVE Scott and Charlene. Can't believe they were back for the final episode. I was really pleased to see a Mike and Jane storyline in the final episode too. I don't remember ever being so excited to see the final episode of a TV show as I was yesterday! Xxxx
I was bawling my eyes out for hours after the finale. I havent watched the Show for years but it made me sad, happy, and everything in between. I had a crap chıldhood and neighbours was the only thing we looked forward to. Our escape , and what a beautıful escape it was

Pretty much the same. Haven't watched it in absolute years. It's emotional. Don't care if you watched the first year or last year, it absolutely hit you in the feels. But in a good way.
I just want to say a huge thank you to each and every person who was involved over the years, from us, the fans. Thank you.

Thank you so much Jasón and Kylie for being in the last episode. You were my idols growing up and I am now 44! In August! I can remember going to Benidorm and pestering my mum so hard to buy a Kylie Minogue outfit !! I got it in the end ! I love you guys so many happy memories it was amazing watching you both, all in the very special way the last episode was put together! I still think we should have a neighbours christmas special every now and then just to keep up on how the current Ramsey street is doing! It can’t end there! They should call Jason and Kylie back too love the entrance , especially for you I want to show you how I was moved the whole episode xx 😘

I was 44 in April and both Kylie and Jason and the whole of the street where my idols. I just loved watching every episode as I grow up. it felt so real to me and I’ll never forget it I only wish they could have saved the street so the other generations could watch it. I wish they would play the old episode now that it’s gone.
They're both genuinely affectionate and kind and sincere to one another. They will ALWAYS be connected in this life. Forget Kylie's iconic status, she's just a regular Australian Shelia and very down to earth. You get the impression she is not demanding or Diva ish . I'm sure she has her moody days but rare. I don't think I've ever seen her frown or raise her voice. What's amazing is the journey both of them have taken since their first appearance in Neighbours back in the 80s.
You can also tell that they had a love off screen for one another and it blossomed further with their move to the UK, sadly both being young it was a shame it never lasted, because you can tell there’s that bond there between them. Kylie now seems at peace with herself and she does seem happier maybe if they fought like Scott and Charlene who knows what may have happened to both of them

@@garethhughes3984 absolutely. although i don't think they've seen much of each other over the years due to their insanely busy life styles. but that does not matter because when they come together it's like the good old days and they act like regular normal appreciative people. so diva status or Ego.
@@Dion_Mustard though there was a spell of years in the mid 90s where they had genuinely fell out. It took Kylie getting breast cancer for them to put their problems with each other in the past (I think that’s more with how she left Donovan and went virtually straight to Hutchence than anything else). But I said this on my other SM profiles and I’m happy that they have truly made things better together again

They are So so so beautiful when they started on neighbours impossibly gorgeous inside and out - and now 35 years later- still beautiful people - I smiled throughout
I stopped watching at the end of the 80s - but amazing to come back to neighbours after all these years

In the UK Neighbours was THE show of the late '80s. Des and Daphne, Harold and Madge. Life was simpler.
Nice to see them back, Craig McLachlan (Henry) should have been there as well.
Scott Michaelson ( Brad Willis )and also Natalie Imbruglia ( Beth ) would have been a good show.

Did anyone else get the sense that Kylie's heart was not really in this and she was doing it because she felt like she owed it to the fans.
She probably didn't want to do it but they offered her too much money to refuse.
I remember an interview where she was asked if she'd ever go back to neighbours and she just laughed as if it was a ridiculous idea.
At least Jason managed to persuade her I guess, although I'm not sure it was worth it with the input she had.
It’s kind of disappointing if that was the case - it’s like as if she almost feels she’s too good for it now…I’m just surmising, maybe she didn’t feel that way…but look at Guy Pearce, a hugely accomplished actor and he played a huge role in the finale.

@@VictoryRRR The weird thing is that in her interview about it she sounded really enthusiastic about it but i didn't even think it looked liked Kylie in the episode. No one else picked up on it so maybe just me being wrong 🤷♀️
Anyone else notice Kylie only actually spoke 3 words...'home sweet home'. When she called out to Jane on the drive this was a recording from the 80's. Also when she called out to Harold she had her back to the camera and her voice sounded very young and again was a recording from the 80's. Strange how Guy Pearce agreed to so much though but then again he is the bigger Hollywood star than both Kylie & Jason together but they are singers I suppose.
Also you can tell that Guy didn't film any scenes with Kylie and Jason. On the balcony, Jane is wearing a watch when Mike is in shot. When he's not in shot, oops no watch. The continuity person must of had the day off.

One of the stupidest decisions in TV history cancelling Neighbours but if the Ozzies can't fund this show with Ozzie money then something is fundamentally wrong with that.
I'd also like to say the fast pace of stories being resolved has also been refreshing and should be a lesson to any soap opera/drama.
Life is fast and problems for the most part are resolved quickly. Sometimes you can watch a soap for 6 months or a year and the problems still haven't been resolved.
I'm a man and I hate soap operas but Neighbours I've always had a soft spot for.

Dale Henderson channel five also binned Big Brother. The show wasn't getting enough ratings for them to bother keeping it.
They are more like charlene and scott in this interview than they were in the episode! If you are bringing huge characters back then there should be a few episodes featuring them not a few lines!

im in the UK and watched both Neighbours and Home & Away since the 80s but i stopped watching Neighbours because of the over wokeness where as Home & Away isnt ramming causes down my throat so i still enjoy watching it ......sadly i feel that was Neighbours downfall in the end it lost its fun side

It was raining. At the end Kylie said it’s stopped raining we better get back. Guess they covered the car for continuity reasons between different shots. And they can’t film when it’s raining as the sun always shines on Ramsey Street!
Does anyone know: was there a significance to the number plate/license plate on the car? I know it was a Queensland plate but we're the numbers and letters significant? Same with the choice of car?
choice of car was because Charlene left in a Green Mini, Licence plate was to show Queensland. Don't know if the letters and numbers have a secret code
