I'm older now and can't do the walking required for a trip to Scotland. My Grandmother's maiden name was McIntosh. Thank you for helping me see so much.
I will never be sble togo bevause i will never be able to afford to go. Id love to live in Scottland, it looks so beautiful and everything is so green and pretty. Beautiful dogs
I know you say you don't get a lot of views on the non-American content, but I absolutely LIVE for your Scottish and especially the Scottish Highlands content.
Scotland the land of my dreams the country I long for. Absolutely breathtaking scenery! It makes me homesick. Thank you, Shaun for your videos. My blessings to you and your family always. 🌺💜😊🙏
The bluebells are beautiful. Ticks are so nasty. They carry so many bad diseases. 21C is not that warm. Today it is 34C where we are in Central America. The countryside is beautiful. We miss home.
I love the Bluebells and daisies. I wish I was there. Thank you for letting me see it. Hope you and Teka come to East Tennessee. We could go to Dollywood Park.
@@roseannr581 Thanks. We were supposed to make our first trip last Fall, then postponed to this coming Fall, but just moved it again due to the ongoing restrictions. I've wanted to visit Scotland all my life. Hopefully we'll make it next year.
Wow what a perfect day and it blows my mind that it doesn’t get totally dark at night. Also, so glad to see your new video. I love all your content so keep it coming.
Love this! Thank you for sharing the peace and beauty of the Highlands with us -- Ancient Scotland, who calls to many of us New World wanderers, from deep in our roots. It is balm to see this.
I have 3 words to COMMENT: I ADORE SAMOYEDS! We bred & showed Sammys for 15 years. They are the most beautiful 🐶 in the whole of Scotland 🏴 & of course the wide-wide 🌍.
Stunning vlog! Love the video! A good trick for ticks is to tie some tape around your leg with the sticky side facing outward. That way when those wee bastards climb up, they get caught in the glue.
Its so beautiful in the highlands. I never knew you had bluebells in Scotland, they are so pretty. Im glad you got some sun and got to relax Shaun. It was nice to see the dogs and cats and the house again. The house is looking good, your Dad and George did a great job on the roof.
Awwww Shaun, thanks for sharing this. The cherry on top for me was the Portobello sunset... :) CANNOT WAIT, to finally visit Scotland.. ready for 2022 ;) By then traveling is hopefully more 'normal'
Breathtaking! Absolutely amazing scenery: you're truly blessed to call Scotland "Home". Your Scottish Highlands are reminiscent of our Canadian Rockies- soo magnificent & beautiful. Thank you SOO much for sharing, Shaun! Sláinte Mhath from Alberta 🏴🥃🤠🥃🇨🇦
@@shaunvlog All is well, just needed some space, which you so kindly provided. The ride off the ferry through the highlands brought me to tears. I have no idea why I was crying. How can you miss a place you've never been? Thank you so much for sharing these with us. Blessings
There was an old song about the Bluebells of Scotland. Just wrenches my heart out, so beautiful and unique of a place, still couldn't go visit this year. It's like homesickness, but it's puzzling because I'm born and bred in the US. Thanks for the glen and the drone footage and the sunset and the tick (why not?). Big hug. 😊
There are two species of Bluebells that grow in Scotland one is native and smaller and the other is the larger non-native Spanish Bluebell which I believe was introduced by Victorian Horticulturist.
Another great video! An excursion to the Highlands in summer and Portobello beach at sunset... experiences I would never be able to have if not for your fine videography. The deer ticks here carry Lyme disease which is very serious. I wonder if the ticks in Scotland are as dangerous? Your parents home and surroundings are truly idyllic! Thank you so much for taking us along.
Shaun, the Samoyed pups are so pretty, as well as having cute mannerisms. I just love dogsled breeds. I was surprised to learn you have the midnight sun in northern Scotland, until I checked my world atlas, and found that you're at the same latitude as Anchorage, AK. You called 21 (69) hot. You need to revisit the US again during the summer, and get a refresher course on what hot really is. Remember your New Orleans visit, where it was probably 32-35/90-95? Perspective changes everything, doesn't it? : )
Strontian has been in my heart since my very first visit in 1975, I had several family holidays there, and I was taken right back when the drone shot at 4.30 shows an island in the river, I used to play on that island every time we came up, the house we stayed in was right across from the Island, I took my own family to visit back in 2016 and was saddened to see the house now boarded up, if it came on the market I would buy it, Strontian, boy it got under my skin and has never left me.
The House is looking really good. I love watching your videos. I look forward to the day I get to experience being there in person. Watching your videos makes it that much more fun.
Looks absolutely gorgeous! 💙 - just missing Scotland, can´t hardly wait to be able to come back!! A lovely, lazy video...pure enjoyment, thx Shaun hello from Denmark 🌸🌱
BEAUTIFUL! My one dream has always been to visit Scotland. Don't know why but I feel connected to it. I have European ancestry along with German..but my soul yearns to see EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, I'm not a young person and I have mobility and breathing problems, so a yrip is out for me. So thank you Shaun for showing me the Scotland I love!
Such a lovely video, Shaun. I loved the video of the drive back to Edinburgh - made me feel I was in the car with you both. Lol! Still plan to get to Scotland in 2022 - covid permitting. Love from Canada. 🏴❤️🇨🇦
Your parents house is coming along nicely, looking good so far! I wish I had the money to buy a house and just live in the highlands, the scenery is gorgeous. Portobello beach looked stunning, I loved the shot with the houses and the lights with the orange sky as the backdrop
Again as i always say, great video Shaun each video you put out makes me love Scotland that much more then i already do its soo stunning as i always say thank you always for sharing Scotland with myself & not just myself but everyone its a Beautiful Scenery!
Gorgeous and so inviting Would love to be there rather than in the heat with fires 🔥 and smoke 💨 in Idaho or the whole of the west coast areas from SoCal to the top of it all ): Ty 💙beautiful share ~*
Thanks for taking me to the incredibly beautiful highlands, home of my ancestors MacLaren. The accompanying music doesn't do it justice! Would love to hear something celtic!
Shaun I like be all your videos. Your videos take me places I have always wanted to go but since I am disabled now you are my tour guide! Thank you so much
Thank you so much for this. I want to be there so badly and this just made it worse. I didn't realize that it stayed light there. How wonderful. Thank you again. Truly.
Perfection, indeed. Thank you for sharing another beautiful day in the Highlands and in Edinburgh. It is a magical place for sure. Sending our best regards from East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia - right in the heart of the Appalachian and Great Smoky Mountains.
Beautiful scenery! Hoping to make it to Edinburgh next year with my daughter and son-in-law! This pandemic is going to last forever, it feels like. Your parents house is lovely! Nice to see the progress. Love to you and Teka 💕🏴
I love the little details like the temperature and the time of day it is. I still can’t quite wrap my head around it being that late and that light. It sure makes Scotland seem extra special. 21 degrees Celsius is a good temperature to lay around in all day. I’m in North Carolina , so that sounds cool to me and not hot. So that little detail makes for an interesting thought about perspective. Thanks for the video!
All that sunshine must be excellent for your psoriasis. I think the beauty of those flowers heals, too. Exquisite! I don’t know the origin of bluebells; don’t know if anyone does. There’s an old Greek legend about Apollo accidentally killing his friend Hyacinthus , and his dropping tears making marks looking like the flowers, so he named them hyacinths. I know the Spanish variety was introduced to Britain in the sixteen hundreds. Very old flower. Beware; all parts are toxic, even touching them’s dangerous, including dogs and other animals!
As always, the scenery is amazing!! Those flowers are lovely, and the sunset breathtaking! I can't believe it was that light so late in the evening. Stunning videography!
I remember staying at my grannys house one summer and we were playing out in the street at about 10pm and it was still light. I thought maybe my mind exegerated over the years, but I guess not. I have lived in Aussie land for 50 years now. I do very much miss Scotland. I'd love to see you visit Stonehaven for a vlog if you havent already.
Shaun...I have to laugh every time you are at your parents. I see lots of work in the background while you stretch out on a lounge chair! Lol. It looks a bit dry as well as hot for Scotland.
Would love to visit one day but doubt I'd be able to hold out walking by the time me and the wife get everything paid off and save up enough to go,not to sure but I have been told some of my ancestors were from Scotland

Scotland and the Highlands are so beautiful!

Same
It blows my mind that it is 10:00 p.m. there and it is still light. It gets dark here in middle Tennessee by 9:00!
The west of Ireland is the same way
My bags are packed, I can be there in 9 or 10 hours. I'll bring snacks.
NO WAY!! It’s almost 11pm and it’s still that light!! 😮😱🤭. That’s incredible!
The west of Ireland is the same way
I think "The Bluebells of Scotland" is a tune in one of my fiddle books.
Ahhhhhh... the sun! ☀️

Aloha Shaun! Beautiful! Bluebells! Thank you! Aloha!
Nice and sunny in the Highlands of Scotland and raining in San Antonio, Texas the same day. Hmm...
I'm so grateful for your videos. The scenery just takes my breath away. We've had to postpone again. I feel like we'll never get there. 😕

Unfortunate no - TH-cam is very strict about what music can be used on monetized platforms and so I am stuck with a narrow field of generic music
