Well done Annique very impressive, not an easy piece, iam humbly speaking a self taught pianist from the age of 15yrs old, iam 54yrs old now, I love playing Mozart and Beethoven sonatas and Scott joplin rags like the entertainer and maple leaf 🍁 rag, and various other pieces, I have a 11note span, I am currently learning other Mozart sonatas using a similar method you are using, your videos are most appreciated as they offer very helpfull tips, I just recently taught myself to play k283 1st movement, and k309 1st movement and learning 3rd movement, this goes with my k545 1st movement, k332 3 movements, and k331 1st movement theme and 6 variations, and rondo alla turca 3rd movement, playing the piano is a wonderfull God given gift to have, greetings from wales uk 😀
Hey Annique! I have an idea, what if you did a baroque Fugue 1m 10m 1h challenge? It'd be helpful to see an established pianist's approach and strategy to tackling something like Bach Fugues.
Bwv 906 Fantasia😂
1m 10m 1hr Prokofiev 2nd concerto Cadenza
Should probably start in the midle or near the end
@@duartevader2709Oh of course! Best bit!
yeah that seems pretty realistic
Please play Rachmaninoff Prelude Op 3 No 2 in c sharp minor it´s just soo beautiful
The most overplayed piece of his. It was already overplayed during his lifetime and he detested it because he had to play it during all of his recitals. People exptected it from him.
He himself said that it was a juvenile trifle that he had long grown weary of.
It's aight, she prolly played it before
Hi, can you try etude tableaux n.4 op 33 from Rachmaninoff? It is one of my favorite pieces.❤
I love Liebesleid, I've never watched that Anime tho.
It looks kinda good. 😁
watch it. its great
my favorite (and only) anime ive watched
@@CaedenThePro not my only anime but by far my favorite.
Lol I’ve just finished the anime like 10 min ago AND HOLY SHIT. BE READY TO CRY YOUR EYES OUT CUS HOLY SHIT
I really respect how not only are you playing the notes, but you're also paying attention to held/tied notes. There's a lot of awkward holding of notes in this piece, and even though you're trying to quickly learn as much as you can, you're still being mindful of those notes.
You gotta love this piece, impatient to view the video
Love it when Annique just randomly screams something in german, don't know why but its so funny.
Also, I just realized i've never heard a german speaker pronouncing the name of this piece, always assumed it was "liebslead".
Wonderful video! Very well played!
8:03 11th, but I'm more comfortable with doing a 10th ;)
bro u are so pretty btw 🥹❤
i swear, every time i see her i'm just in awe🥹
❤❤❤❤❤
I know, right?! She just looks so sweet 🥰
Shouldn't it be "sis" instead of "bro"? ;)
@@Quotenwagnerianer bro is gender neutral
U should try prelude op 28 no 12 by chopin for the challenge!
Annique we are with you.❤ Seeing you happy and motivated is making me and your other followers more than you are :') You are the greatest pianist currently at least for me . Keep smiling and make other people smile with your positivity 😊🖤
How do you even manage to learn so much in just one hour? I refuse to believe you're the same specie as me. I struggle so much at sight reading that this looks completely enigmatic to me. It would have taken me weeks to get there (including the mistakes). Anyways, congratulations, that's really impressive and the video is very enjoyable.
Next time? How about Charles Valentin Alkan - Etude Op. 27 Le chemin de fer
next time Alkan Concerto for piano solo 3rd movement and le Preux 😍
We gotta have busoni piano concerto in there as well
@@duartevader2709 don’t forget Feinberg 3 and K.S Sorabji Sonata No. 5!!!
Plz plz plzzz do Chopin Op27 no2😭😭
Have you played Rachmaninoff G# minor prelude op32 no12? It is lovely, and I think may work well for a 1-10-1 challenge. :)
pls perform in california 😭
Yes, please!
And Arizona too, since it’s somewhat close.
Great job Annique!! Next time, try Brahms Romance in F 118/5 (because it's the greatest song of all time) or The Great Gate of Kiev from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition (because everyone will love it). Cheers.
Estupendo! Que te parecería un desafio con algunas obritas de Kinderescenen de Schumann? No son tan fáciles como parecen ehh😂❤
You’re 10 minute sounded like my 1 week 😢 but i’m glad to know everyone struggles with rachmaninoffs huge chords
Another one of my favorite 1 minute 10 minute 1 hour challenges 😊❤🎉!
WOAH ONE OF MY FAVORITES 😄
in my fav anime too!
Wow perfect timing, im learning this piece too! Seeing you do it so effortlessly is making me envious 😅
God I was listening to this piece nonstop for the past couple of days! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the title of this video ❤
yo Im literally learning this piece with my piano teacher right now! crazy timing
OMG i just started learning this piece, such a stunning arrangement!
Rachmaninoff ossia cadenza would be a great one :)
I hope to hear you take on the Chopin Barcarolle someday.
1:45 it took me an hour to learn this begginig, i can not manage hands
I’ve been waiting this for a century
Congratulations on your successes.
Wake up guys Annique just posted🔥
lovee uuuu
I can grab a 10th without problem and with a little bit of stretching a 11th. The next time, spanish rhapsody 1min, 10 min 1 hour challenge, please❤. I love this piece.
@@Wakala89 you are a lucky person, if I stretch and pray any kind of God I can just reach a 10th 🥲
please come to Italy next!!
"I met this girl under full-bloomed cherry blossoms, and my fate has begun to change"
Annique do Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini Variation 18 Rachmaninoff for 1min10min1hr. And also Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No 1 B flat minor Solo arrangement by Grainger. These are challenging masterpieces would love to see how you fare, Im sure you’d do awesome!
Thank you for creating this fun, light-hearted, enjoyable video!! I admire your technical, musicianship, and editing skills. Any idea where, or who, this challenge format originated from?
Wonderfull Video. And I can only grab barely a nineth. I've got small hands with short fingers. A tenth is just out of my reach. 🙃🤪
youtube.com/@heartofthekeys Thank you, is it possible you could do a video of your typical practice session (?hrs) including full warm-up, scales, technique and walk us through how you practice repertoire/technique etc - Would be so much appreciated!
Sofia Gubaidulina - Piano Sonata: III. Allegretto (please, and sorry, lol 😂)
My favorite Rachmaninoff interpreter, Vladimir Ashkenazy, surprisingly had a quite small handspan. That just goes to show you really don't need huge hands in order to play (though it does make it significantly easier sometimes)
8:07 As a 15 year old self-learning pianist. Throughout my entire life, my development in 5 years of playing and still can't read notes faster. My hand can stretch up to 9 notes. But on that specific notes on the left hand, considering that the B was flat, made my hand cry. Tested the notes, I can reach it but can't play it quickly, maybe with some practice but I guess I need to wait for my hand to expand a little more so I can play Liebesleid.
I absolutely love Liebesleid, thanks for playing it Annique!! 🖤🌱
Hi Annique. As usual great video and despite minor "bumps" it was a joy to listen to.
As for the next peice, as I commented before, what about Alkan? Maybe the famous Barcarolle is to easy, but what about at least the opening of the Concerto for Solo piano 😊 😈
Omg, love this. Annique you're so special for me, I want with all my heart to be able to go to one of your concerts.. Love sorrow... it's a beautiful piece, and I really admire your talent for playing it. ❤
For those who may not know, Fritz Kreisler's claim to fame was as a violinist. He was a top-tier virtuoso. He was so highly regarded that his name entered the American lexicon as a synonym for "the best". Imagine two women discussing a doctor, the first recommending her doctor. The second woman asks, "Is he really good?" The first replies, "He's a Kreisler."
What’s about 1 min 10 min 1 hour Bach’s Chaconne (BWV 1004) in Busoni transcription?
It's impressive how well you had it practiced in 10 minutes
Yes, YES I waited for this since la Campanella video, glad you picked this piece
It took me 6 months to memorize the notes. Still working on it for the past month. Your 1 hour was basically my 1 month progress.😅 I was so surprised to see the notification for this piece pop up on my feed. So glad you did this one. Would love to hear a completed version sometime in the future. Bravo
Hello Annique! Great and entertaining video as usual!
Would you please be so kind as to tell me what type of microphones you are using for your recordings? They sound lovely!
Thank you in advance!
Love, from Italy
Nice performance for the time of study! I can get a 10th but i lack in teqnique. Next challenge i want to see is you trying Liszt's Transcendental Etude No5 feux follets .
I can just barely reach a 10th at the edge of the keys, but more annoyingly, I can only get a 6th between 2nd and 5th finger, which makes a lot of the bigger chords very difficult - my hands aren't huge, but I would be way less annoyed if I just was a bit more flexible.
Can you do Animenz - Fubuki (Kancolle) next
I can also grab a 9th but that's my full stretch.
You mentioned lower back pain. I have been struggling the past 2 months with pain between my shoulder blades as soon as I start to practice piano, the first ten minutes are fine and then the pain starts and within 15 min I am in so much pain I cannot bear it anymore, the pain feels like an intense spasm. I corrected my seating position height of the piano bench, seating distance from the keys, my style of playing, relaxing my shoulders while playing and it improved a little bit but it still got me. Then I made this discovery, I started to do light weight training in the gym and immediately the pain is gone, I can now easily sit and practice for 45min - 1Hr with no pain, the gym exercise is doing the trick.
I can only stretch an octave 😢 Its really depressing actually, as Ill never be able to play a lot of Chopin's work where he will do 9ths.
I’m so happy that you are doing this piece. It’s one of my favorites!!!
I can do a 10th easily. An 11th, if it's between two black keys.
Any surprises for Paris ); ? would love to hear a ballade you mentionned it on insta no?
I’ve been learning this piece for a time now, it’s sooo hard, so many notes… 🫠
The middle part sounded messy at first if it’s not played close to the right tempo.
I recently heard this piece and gotta say it is a really beautiful piece, looking forward to watch the whole video
How is the camera moving on it's own? Rachmaninoff's ghost is moving it🗿
everyone wake up Annique just dropped a new challenge
I love you, Thanks for the challenge :D
8:10 comfortably I can do 10ths with a stretch I can get 11th
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS CHALLENGE FOR LIKE 3 YEARS
I love this piece so deeply, thank you for playing it ❤
Could you plz do Chopin Piano & Cello Sonata by Chopin
1m 1hr 10min Sonic the Hedgehog music on piano 🤓
Wow your skill is insane! Biiig probs!!!❤😊
I wish I have a piano like that :) even im being very beginner.
The beginning of this still messes with me 😭 I still love the piece!
Zum Glück gibt es ja schmalere Klaviaturen. Was einem nur niemand verrät.......
Beautiful piece of music played beautifully!
Is there a date for the brazillian tour? ^^
The audio on the piano sounds great!
Yeeeess. I waited so long for this
Annique, you are amazing!
She has bigger hands than me ....
was ein timing :D das wollte ich auch seit ein paar tagen lernen
THANK YOUUUUU
yoo no way i love this piece
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You should try ondine
liszt funerralies pls
I love this series so much
How about ravel?
I love this piece!😍
no way the com back
8:03 a 12th with stretching, but a 11/11th and a semitone is the most comfortable hahaha. If I'm not mistaken that's what Rach's stretch was.
Most people say Rach’s handspan was a 13th but if not it would be very close to a 13th
I love this piece
Well played
here we go
Well done!
Omg hi❤❤❤❤
So good!
Hello!
