Growing up with 3 older brothers had many benefits. Being exposed to SD was definitely one of them. I’m a musician and I can tell that everything I write and play has a hint of their influence. I’m grateful for this. My life is better because of their music. Thanks SD. RIP WB

I never could figure out if I liked Steely Dan. I kept listening to in. Over the years. Do I like it? I was left with the fact that art that makes you think is real art.
This is terrific and very enlightening. However if this timeline is correct Walter and Donald went there separate ways shortly thereafter only to reform in the mid-nineties. Rest in peace Walter Becker.
Considering that they said at one point in the interview "We've been together for 10 years" that would be in alignment with the timeline of Steely Dan forming and making demos in 1971 and breaking up June of 1981.

I can’t believe walter and Donald played in Waldorf at the stardust😂 it closed down and I think it burned down but It’s been a such a long time… Waldorf Md.. that’s funny that they talked about what a sh-t hole it was. And it was!
