No it was definitely mamamoo who started it. But they are aware of their audience which has been mature from day 1. Bp don’t realize that most of those fans are minors and immature and can’t tell if they should consume content just cuz their face is in it. I’ve seen so many 10-15 y/o say that they watched the idol and don’t think it’s “that bad.” Their minds aren’t developed enough to understand sex, consent, and morality (I mean this in a choice way, not religious ie hitting is wrong but accidentally hurting during self-defense isn’t).
Jennie hasn’t broken any boundaries for anyone and bp haven’t opened doors for anyone. They are lucky to have pretty privilege that’s all. When a country (SK) only recognizes you for your looks, that’s not something to be proud of. I’ve never seen people compliment bp’s songs or talent other than saying the chorus is catchy (which it is but what about the actual song?). Others get praises and hate too - solar and hwasa were both slut-shamed from a very early point from their career. but their fans don’t bring up the hate. They just arent as obsessed with it.
