@@SADJ1990 this right here. On my 4th playthrough and you get a ton of xp/gold/wyrmfire currency in the end game. All i do is farm the end game. Thats it. Take me less than 60 min to get to the endgame.
Or you could play thief and put on a weak weapon. If you have the Bump and lift upgrade for it, theres a chance you can steal upwards of 100+ per drake.
Tip. If you play as a thief you can get 1 dragon scale or 5 to 6 wyrmlife crystal with weak weapon. The bump and lift has a 2% or so to steal a item when you carve. Usually get around 160 or so from one drake

I happened upon the Dragonforged yesterday at random while trying different paths to the Volcano island. I was pretty happy I found him on my own. In regards to the Drake outside Harve. My first encounter with it was pretty epic. Showed up out of nowhere after I killed the bandits in the area. I fought it for a good 10 minutes before it started to flee. Just as it was flying away, the Griffin appeared and tackled it out of the sky. The Griffin proceeded to help me (indirectly) finish it off. It was one of the coolest moments I had in the game
My coolest moment was finding a red dragon near a well. I saw his health was 6 dots so I jumped down into well to escape. Was shooting up through small opening then the dragon folded in its wings and dropped down into well with me. I nearly 💩 ed. I moved back near exit and repeatedly shot ricochet hunter into well while it was trapped and melted him. It was crazy 😂
I enjoyed this story 😆 reasons why I love Dragons Dogma. The random encounters are everything to me. Even the minotaur that showed up out of nowhere at Vernworth to terrorize the local inhabitants (resting at my house/inn in the city has its perks for this reason). They come to me rather than me going to them ❤😂
@@DoodleToast-c4oI was in my house and my chest started glowing from a drake being at the entrance and calling for me! I run towards him and here comes a cyclops punching him and the townspeople running away!!! I loved every moment
Let me save you guys some time, small spoiler though. You don't need to farm a single crystal except the 15 you need for the main story quest. Proceed into the Unmoored world and you will be showered in crystals, over 300-400. I enter the Unmoored world with basically no crystals and bought x2 full loadouts (head, chest, leg armor + weapons) and fully upgraded these by just killing the bosses at the red becons as well as getting the quest rewards from evacuating all the factions. You dont need to farm this currency until you get to the Unmoored world, it's a grand waste of time.
I seen online the thief class can use the skill plunder and farm the rare material drops off the dragon during the battle getting an insane amount than you’d usually get
Best method i discovered is this one for wyrm crystals: Drake near Harve Village, kill it, go to village go on bench and Doze Off x40 ( ye, 40) u dont need to get up, go 1 after another. Then quit village and drake should be there. Also tip for thief and warfarer ( ye stealing also works on warferer if u have it unlocked). U need to attack slowly ( don't trigger this fast attacking skill on daggers) and also use Plunder skill when he is down. This is fasted method right now, dont bother any other drakes.
Huge combat tip. Attack the wings or they will fly away. I got like 5 drakes to 3 circles of health left, and they would always fly high up and leave. On first down, I hyper focus the wings real quick which leave tears in them and they no longer will fly away now. Am a warrior so I don’t have anything to attack them in the air and pawns only do so much.
So I'm 110hrs in on my second playthrough of the game and I've been farming drakes extensively. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong but in all this time playing I have only ever seen the drake at ancient battleground spawn 1 time and that is when you first encounter it fighting the Cyclops. I've seen one there a total of 2 times, once on the first playthrough, and again on my second. Side note - Love the videos and coverage of this game I am hardcore addicted. After you kill a drake (or any boss) you can save in front of the body, and if you don't get enough crystal drops, you can just quit out, reload, and it'll reload the drops.
Every time I decide I'm done with exploring and want to move on to the post game area I see a video that makes me want to farm something or quest that I missed that has an awesome reward and I'm starting to think I might be playing this game until MH Wilds comes out.
The Dragonforced gives a stat bonus when leveling a selected vocation! That option appeared in newgame+ for me but MAY be in true endgame. I made a video showing it but the Dragonforged has a lot of cool new stuff it can do late/post game for vocations (exp boosts, dc boosts, affinity boosts, half stamina costs for skills, and more!).
There is actually a second Drake on Volcano island if you follow the lava river south to the larger lava area with a lot of foaming slimes on the way there.
For the respawn, you can rest 7 days, save and quit; and then log back in and the boss will be there, works with all of the boss spawns, ive used it to farm the 2 bosses near the second sphynx spot
That only works on smaller enemies no? I think its best to use thief with weaker daggers to get lots of carves off due to Bump and Lift having a chance per carve.

The ogre respawns every 7 days without fail but the drake has never reappeared for me.
Okay so I farmed 1k WC. The easiest and in my opinion the fastest way to farm WC is to kill the dragon north of Harve, it seems to be on a set time while other drakes are more random. Your thief will plunder (up to 20 WC from it if you're lucky) And then you finish it off. Run back to Harve, and then sit on a bench and spam the button to fast forward time, I generally am watching a video while doing this. After a few days (mine was 3 but my friend was 6, so 12 times on the bench) you rinse and repeat.

So just farm those two then camp near there, go back to camp sit on the bench to pass time, no need for inn rest, no worry about the plague. (u need to kill that drake about 10 times before the second one spawn though)
Augural Flare + Magick Archer spam achieves the same effect only you can do it on Warfarer as one vocation. Make sure to Spellhold the Flare, then insta-cast it on your dragon and swap to bow for insane dps. Just melts these fools.
You get crazy amounts of WLC in the end game I played about 2 hours and got about 600 and make sure you close the red rifts to get a boss fight to earn it
@@slullabys yea you need to do them asap and leave the last beam by the sea floor … because once you do that one the games over so that way you can do what you have to do before hand.. but I believe closing the red rifts extends your time in the unmoored word just be careful not to close the final one until your ready
There is another dragon I fought on the volcanic island not mentioned on the vid that dropped 15 crystals per pickup on the body. I got 45 crystals total on one kill. I haven't checked if it responds, but the health bar was massive on it. It was located near the big lava area near the excavation camp. Hope this is helpful.
Does anyone know if the Dragonforged Vocation Upgrade raises the Stat Cap of the Vocation, or what it actually does? From what people have told me is that once a Stat becomes "Gold" it is at its Cap for that Vocation, but the Dragonforged in NG+ has a option to pick a Single Class to "Upgrade", but no one knows what it does. I hope it raises the Stat Cap since after Lvl 200 all Vocations will reach "Gold" in their Stats(which differ on Class), and every level after just raises Max Health. At least this is what ive seen online, I hope its not the case since I LOVE becoming OP and One Shoting everything in RPGs, and would love to see how high I can get a Single Stat if possible.
Theres also a dragon (drake?) That spawns between volcanic island camp and the excavation site. Ive been farming him for awhile now. Kill, run back to camp and rest for 7 days, repeat
I kinda wish Bosses like Drakes,Minotaurs, ogres and so on would drop different loot like weapons with a small chance of like 2% or so to make it feel a bit more rewarding
You can kill drakes as a mystic spearhand using little to no stamina. Before engaging, keep far away and charge the stun bolt by holding R1 but make sure you fully charge it. Your character should have had the electricity pop out their body once to let u know u can use it and then a second time to let u know its fully charged up. Now u engage and dash towards it and let the bolt go to stun it, once it hits, hold down R1 again and keep mashing square until the stun is about to wear off and while attacking u shouldve had another stun bolt charge up so u rinse and repeat this while attacking the heart until done. If the drake flies in the air, just make sure use that shield skill on urself and all the pawns while still holding R1 and charging that stun bolt until the drake lands on the ground. Happy hunting!!!
I farmed the dragon on the beach north of volcanic island camp. There is a camp with a riftstone nearby. I would rest for three days and then save to title screen and reload the save. The dragon reappeared everytime.
How do you get the items that show up on your map when you have the skill forager?? Ice tried everything and even looked it up on Reddit and nothing, can't find any of them . I know it shows the materials you need to do your upgrades.
Find a piece of equipment that has the material you need to upgrade it, then un equip everything else besides that piece of equipment. Afterwards check your map and it should show all possible locations of that material.
What bothers me is that all this upgrading and buying the Dragonforged gear... what for? We literally got less endgame than DD1 basegame. And NewGame+ does literally nothing.
@05:24 Edit after rewatching. I misunderstood... and also lost him giving the master teaching. I had to leave and come back, and he didn't fight with me the second time :(
Thank you the dragon farming really works I put the plunder skill on my thief and another thief pawn with the same skill. My first dragon I got 22 WLC and the second one gave me 41 WLC Edit - Okay nvm it seems I got extremely lucky...didnt go as well on the second attempt 🥲 Also be careful when doing it inside settlements I accidentally used plunder on a guard and had to kill him haha
if I could find where I found my first seekers token, I’d be able to save my NG+ playthrough. Not sure if it’s the first one I ever found or the first one I found in NG+
it's so simple. The best place to kill the dragon is at harve village. He shows up every 10 days. It's a shame that the drops are a bit stupid here. It would be much more interesting if you had to farm bosses for good weapons and armor and they only had a 2 or 3% drop rate, for example
What about in the post game the red beams of light summon fights 2 of these fight get you like 100 each and if you do all the post game story for the unmaking ending you can get nearly 400 plus crystals
Put everything in your chest only keep some healing (if You need it) and the camp (also if you need it) pretty much only have your gear on. Go out gather, repeat.
does the dragonforged sell the best gear? i have been looking for bether gear but i cant find any i bought all gear from the dragonforged almost so i was looking for something bether.
Looks like it. Plus vendors stock more in NG+ but I believe the dragonforged items he sells are the best. Unless any secret ones in the endgame section for true ending
You can access it if you do the normal ending and move in to NG+ as well. Also, the gear is very strong, but i don't know about the best. It could be that elemental weapons are better, but many of the Dragonforged's weapons have a bonus attached to them instead. Not sure which will truly be the best without somebody testing it out. The armor though is quite strong.
@@RageGamingVideos thanks for such a rapid response. I got spanked the first time I tried to fight a drake in the low 20s and I've been scared to try again since

My Drake keeps flying away from Harve when I fight and encounter it. Can anyone can explain why it does that and if it'll respawn back with the same life bars? If it's the same one. I killed 2 drakes so far but I just want to keep grinding for their materials for dragon forged and endgame. They're fun and challenging to fight.
ill tell you this now, i killed both dragons outside harve, 3 days ago, something like 80 in game days have passed since then. Those 2 and the rest of my drakes on the map have not respawned, i assumed they dont respawn and they expect you to NG+ for more
I rage quit playing last night because I got to the story point where they ask you to get 15, I tracked down 2 Dragons in Vermund and they flew off at low hp. Like what the actual shit is this why would you make them flee when it's REQUIRED to progress in the story???
some have fixed times to fly away dps also matters if your not on their shit then they get bored and leave theres a few that don't though one in the ancient battle ground thats north east of the checkpoint rest town and one south west of bakbatal that you can fight with Sigurd
@@dontwannabeahero1570 yeah I killed those two already and dragonforged a bunch of armor. If I had known the item would be quest required I wouldn't have
For Mystic Spearhand master teaching you can also get it by killing the first dragon attacking Melve if you use the ballista (2 fully charged shots) and then talking to the NPC Meister while he is still in Melve. You will need first charged shot to hit dragon when it's above ground to have more than enough time to re-charge a 2nd shot as the dragon tries to escape after 1st shot due to HP threshold. So fully charge 1st shot and stagger it by shooting it when it's in the air. You will then have just enough time to fully charge a 2nd shot and hit it while it tries to escape (fly up).
Very important!!! With the theif if you have the plunder ability if you knock out a drake you can use plunder and have a chance to get the wrymlife crystals. I have gotten 20 from this plus it dropped 15 on kill
Ha ha ive been buying wyrmlife crystals since i met tht npc on the way to vernwurth, becuz i knew they were going to be important crafting material i just reached bakbahttal or whatever and i have 40 already
There is another Drake/Lesser Dragon between the Volcanic Island Camp and the Excavation Site to the South East. It's in the far end of the canyon near a Large Ballista so you could get 1 or maybe even 2 shots on it before you actually start fighting.
110+40 for sword and board, 110 for any other weapon. 70 for chest armor. 20 for helm 20 for legs 10 for dragonforged chest and weapon rank 4 enhance, i think And i think 3 or 5 for the other gear slots. Just off memory, but i think this is mooostly correct.
I tried doing Augural Flare and switching to Archer to use the skill that shoots arrows quickly on Warfarer, but as soon as I swapped weapons, it disappeared. So just farm those two then camp near there, go back to camp sit on the bench to pass time, no need for inn rest, no worry about the plague. (u need to kill that drake about 10 times before the second one spawn though)
Whenever my pawn used Augural Flare I'd combined it with my Archers Tempest shot and it would melt bosses. Too dam good.
Augural Flare + Magick Archer spam achieves the same effect only you can do it on Warfarer as one vocation. Make sure to Spellhold the Flare, then insta-cast it on your dragon and swap to bow for insane dps. Just melts these fools.
You get crazy amounts of WLC in the end game I played about 2 hours and got about 600 and make sure you close the red rifts to get a boss fight to earn it
So you do need to interact with the red beams? I’ve been leaving them and focusing on evacuating the towns
@@slullabys yea you need to do them asap and leave the last beam by the sea floor … because once you do that one the games over so that way you can do what you have to do before hand.. but I believe closing the red rifts extends your time in the unmoored word just be careful not to close the final one until your ready
@@TechManDanN I wish I would have seen this sooner. I’ve almost used all my ferrystones that I picked up on the way to the seafloor shrine
@@slullabys fight some many bosses or try some vendors that’s how I stocked up … I went into my new game plus with 12 ferrystones and 2 portcrystals
@@TechManDanN do the Portcrystals you’ve placed stay there in new game plus?
There is another dragon I fought on the volcanic island not mentioned on the vid that dropped 15 crystals per pickup on the body. I got 45 crystals total on one kill. I haven't checked if it responds, but the health bar was massive on it. It was located near the big lava area near the excavation camp. Hope this is helpful.
I saw that dragon! I didn't even attempt it. It looked crazy 🤪
Theifs, what blades are better?? Frosted edges or Framae blades??
Theres also a dragon (drake?) That spawns between volcanic island camp and the excavation site. Ive been farming him for awhile now. Kill, run back to camp and rest for 7 days, repeat
I kinda wish Bosses like Drakes,Minotaurs, ogres and so on would drop different loot like weapons with a small chance of like 2% or so to make it feel a bit more rewarding
Cyclops can drop rings.
@@TheBlakamon15its only once
It does this, I was in end game and killed a drake and got armor from it. Idk if it only works in the post-game mode though.
They do. With a very small percentage though. But ferrystones can be stolen pretty regularly from them
@@boeserKadser yeah got a bow from a Boss yesterday though it wasn't any good sadly, atleast I think I got it from the boss
I just put port crystals around those areas thanks!
Should you use the dragons forge before any other upgrades?
There is a drake near the lava pits in the Volcanic Isles
I farmed the dragon on the beach north of volcanic island camp. There is a camp with a riftstone nearby. I would rest for three days and then save to title screen and reload the save. The dragon reappeared everytime.
Good to know, thanks! How many crystals per run were you getting there?
@@TheJvc95 Generally, on average around 15-20 crystals. I got two thief pawns with pilfer, so some fights I would get 20+, if I got lucky.
Cycling in between harve village and putting a crystal next to the dragon in volcano island is the best. Just wait 7 days and use crystals
Does that mean you rest at a inn 7x that's kinda tedious lol 😂
If hit at the hands it will stop casting drop pawns faster
I found another dragon you didn’t mention here In the woods near a little stream/river northwest of nameless village.
Excellent vid
you'll get over 600 in your first playthrough if you deal with the MCP beams.
This is random but when we gonna get a video with all 3 of yall it feels like holo always does it alone when he's on
you can steal them as well, i'm not sure which enemies, but I know I've stolen one in bahtall from non-dragon mobs.
I’ve gotten over 600 wyrmslife crystal by completing the unmoored quest and doing 4 red beams
What bothers me is that all this upgrading and buying the Dragonforged gear... what for? We literally got less endgame than DD1 basegame. And NewGame+ does literally nothing.
You don't need 80 to 100 to max out your gear.
Weapon is the most expensive while armor is alot less.
@05:24 Edit after rewatching. I misunderstood... and also lost him giving the master teaching. I had to leave and come back, and he didn't fight with me the second time :(
Thank you the dragon farming really works
I put the plunder skill on my thief and another thief pawn with the same skill.
My first dragon I got 22 WLC and the second one gave me 41 WLC
Edit - Okay nvm it seems I got extremely lucky...didnt go as well on the second attempt 🥲
Also be careful when doing it inside settlements I accidentally used plunder on a guard and had to kill him haha
do everything within your power to interrupt a drake if it grabs your main pawn as that’s mainly how they contract dragon’s plague
if I could find where I found my first seekers token, I’d be able to save my NG+ playthrough. Not sure if it’s the first one I ever found or the first one I found in NG+
It's the first one on the playthrough
Ya just take their stuff they hold off them and chuck them in the water. Resummon and give gear back. Should be cured
Unsure but does going to the hot springs with them also cure dragons plague?
Probably not.
it's so simple. The best place to kill the dragon is at harve village. He shows up every 10 days. It's a shame that the drops are a bit stupid here. It would be much more interesting if you had to farm bosses for good weapons and armor and they only had a 2 or 3% drop rate, for example
Also the dragon you fight in the main quest forget the location name where Sigurd is but I go back there and a dragon spawns there as well
@@luketexas ah yeah you mean there at melve
@@Wow4ik1 actually I was referring to dragonsbreath tower but they prob spawn at melve too idk
If you bring a thief with Plunder, when the drake topples the thief will steal 25 crystals before defeating it.
I've never seen the drake in ancient battlefield respawn, only the cyclops
What about in the post game the red beams of light summon fights 2 of these fight get you like 100 each and if you do all the post game story for the unmaking ending you can get nearly 400 plus crystals
Do u need to have the crystals in the inventory or does it work while they are in the stash ?
I'd say keep them on you to be safe, I left them in my stash yesterday and it said I had 0 when I talked to him. That was a long run back to get them
inventory but they are thankfully borderline weightless
You can oneshot them with the magic archers ultimate😁 thats how I dealt with most of dragons
Magic archers last ability for that fastest kill
I got the dragon duospear on my first drake kill in melve. I was intending to main MS but man getting that weapon so early made the game a cakewalk
Can you guys make a video on weight management and storage ❤ I am struggling in the wild
Put everything in your chest only keep some healing (if You need it) and the camp (also if you need it) pretty much only have your gear on. Go out gather, repeat.
I have about over 400 dragon crystals true game ending killing dragons
does the dragonforged sell the best gear? i have been looking for bether gear but i cant find any i bought all gear from the dragonforged almost so i was looking for something bether.
Looks like it. Plus vendors stock more in NG+ but I believe the dragonforged items he sells are the best.
Unless any secret ones in the endgame section for true ending
he does but you'll only be able to access it if you get the secret ending
@@dontwannabeahero1570 or in ng+
You can access it if you do the normal ending and move in to NG+ as well.
Also, the gear is very strong, but i don't know about the best. It could be that elemental weapons are better, but many of the Dragonforged's weapons have a bonus attached to them instead. Not sure which will truly be the best without somebody testing it out. The armor though is quite strong.
@@jeremypurdy1833 im a bit dissapointed about the gear not manny choices but the rest is fun.
So I kinda stumble on to the main story one by accident and killed it prior meeting that mystic spear dude. Does that affect anything lol.
What level do you recommend taking drakes on at?
25-30+
@@RageGamingVideos thanks for such a rapid response. I got spanked the first time I tried to fight a drake in the low 20s and I've been scared to try again since
You can push 15 with thief with formless feint or mystic spearmen with the shield skill constantly on
@airdog20 Yeah, I was like level 20 using a pretty low-level warrior vocation. It went poorly. I'm now level 30 using a level 8 mystic spearhand. I think now it's probably going to go poorly for the drake this time.
@@majorcosmos2 it's going to be a blood bath.
I’ve never gotten less than 15 per dragon except the one that fell into the brine lmao 😂
You get untold amounts post game so don't farm before I spent 10 hours farming 300 and then I get to post game and just about automatically get 400
My Drake keeps flying away from Harve when I fight and encounter it.
Those 2 and the rest of my drakes on the map have not respawned, i assumed they dont respawn and they expect you to NG+ for more
So figured out how to get em to spawm sleep for 7 days then save and to to start screen relog back in game and shabamm drake is there
None of my drakes have respawned, ran the whole circuit and not one of them were there
استخدمت الرماح السحري ومهارة صاعقة الشهيد وقمت بقتل التنين بطلقه واحده
Shyt after I beat the game the first time and did ng+ I received like 150 of them
U get about 120 when u finish the game and start ng+
I rage quit playing last night because I got to the story point where they ask you to get 15, I tracked down 2 Dragons in Vermund and they flew off at low hp. Like what the actual shit is this why would you make them flee when it's REQUIRED to progress in the story???
some have fixed times to fly away
dps also matters if your not on their shit then they get bored and leave
theres a few that don't though
one in the ancient battle ground thats north east of the checkpoint rest town
and one south west of bakbatal that you can fight with Sigurd
@@dontwannabeahero1570 yeah I killed those two already and dragonforged a bunch of armor. If I had known the item would be quest required I wouldn't have
If you destroy their wings they can’t fly away I’m pretty sure
How does one specialize a vocation? Im in NG+
I've skipped over 200 days in various locations and have never had a single drake respawn -_- ps5
I keep forgetting these crystals do things 😂 got loads of them sat in my storage 😭
The one after the bridge I defeated it needed the rest after so I slept until next day and the bloody thing was back In 1 rest 😅
Very important!!!
With the theif if you have the plunder ability if you knock out a drake you can use plunder and have a chance to get the wrymlife crystals. I have gotten 20 from this plus it dropped 15 on kill
How do you not tell us where the forger is located
got a question can drakes respawn
Ha ha ive been buying wyrmlife crystals since i met tht npc on the way to vernwurth, becuz i knew they were going to be important crafting material i just reached bakbahttal or whatever and i have 40 already
Do not approach the dragon dude’s cave with your weapon out. He will attack your face 😂
😂😂😂
Would you make a video on where to find eldercite please. Im level 60 and cant find the damn thing
There is another Drake/Lesser Dragon between the Volcanic Island Camp and the Excavation Site to the South East. It's in the far end of the canyon near a Large Ballista so you could get 1 or maybe even 2 shots on it before you actually start fighting.
Does anyone know why whenever I go over there? He’s not showing up I am in the unmoral world right now.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get Lamond's (Warfarer guy) armour anywhere?
Drakes awlways run from me when Fighting
Is Dwarven smithing good for Magick Archer/Sorcerer?
Dwarven are best for all except staves. And Maybe magicarcher depends on How You play.
But all gear goes dwarf
Elven vs dwarven is such a small difference, but spells have knockdown too which makes dwarven best for everything imo
@@shauncammons4043 didnt know spells apply knockdown from weapon then you are right dwarf for all!
Does anyone knows how many crystals i need to buy a full set of the dragons dogams gear and dragonforge them?.
a full set of end game gear is about 120 crystals to by then 30 to upgrade
110+40 for sword and board, 110 for any other weapon.
70 for chest armor.
20 for helm
20 for legs
10 for dragonforged chest and weapon rank 4 enhance, i think
And i think 3 or 5 for the other gear slots.
Just off memory, but i think this is mooostly correct.
Thanks alot mate
I use the thief pawn with plunder farming dragons he can take up to 20 chrystals best I had and then the ones you get for kill
You can only have 99 of anything in your inventory.
Hey sorry off topic but anyone know what to do with the headless horseman bones?
Edit: Its for weapon upgrading!
I knew there was something I should have picked up. I couldn't find anything besides a ferry stone though. Just started ng+
its for upgrading weapons
I didn't know what they were and sold like 50 of them the other day as vender trash 😢
I tried doing Augural Flare and switching to Archer to use the skill that shoots arrows quickly on Warfarer, but as soon as I swapped weapons, it disappeared.
EDIT: Correction, it does stay after swapping weapons. I was just a tad too slow when attempting to use tempest shot to build up the charges. Thank you @joshtenney4143 for reminding me that the flare disappears quickly.
Does swapping class get rid of existing spells thats ashame
@@burg3rlessturd599 the flare disappears quickly if it isn't being attacked. You can pretty quickly spam out shots from the staff itself to keep it active until one of your pawns starts hitting it. Then you would want to swap weapons
