According to several vignettes, Lilia likes to tease about it a lot. So Leona would have picked up on it very quickly. I think the other student's were sort of in denial, even though I can't see how they would continue think that way with so many hints being shown, though...
@@kalindhiseneviratne8247 That's pretty true, Leona is actually rly quick to pick up on details and stuff (but sometimes not tell anyone or dismiss it like in Book 3 when Grim ate the stone)
I have a question about the end of chatper 6 when Malleus share some of his magic with Vil does that make Vil appear young but with a shorter lifespan from saving idia or did he recive some of Malleus lifespan and magic? And if Vil did recive both things does that make him have some sort of connection with Malleus?
Short Explanation: Vil's lifespan is literally the same, it's just his appearance is changed, sorta like a broken leg. He doesn't need lifespan and power like Lilia did to Malleus because he isn't hatching, and he doesn't have magic running through his veins like a fae probably does. There's no connection to Malleus because this could all have just happened if he took magic therapy, but Malleus decided to bless him for the sake of his heroic acts, and probably all of their ears. Longer Explanation: The cause of Vil's aging was getting too close to the Underworld, which was not an effect of time, but rather an effect of magic, because the Underworld is based off Hercules, and also is full of Phantoms from overblot which naturally use up a lot of magic (probably hence why they end up draining whoever overblots) because they need magic to exist. So, because Vil's aging was unnatural and therefore not actually because of time itself, it was able to be reversed. It is mentioned in Book 6 when the NRC students say, "Vil is going to need medical magical treatment" and he may never be the same, etc etc; essentially it is like breaking a bone or tearing a tendon. Sure it can be reversed, but if you aren't careful during the treatment or even after the treatment, you may never be the same again, especially after having to go through the traumatic experience. Because Vil's aging was because of magic and not time, it was able to be cured by simply using magic. We know this because Malleus says, "Even I cannot reverse the effects of time however I can offer you my blessing" or smth like that. So Malleus was basically able to use magic to cure Vil's condition and reverse him back to normal. In short, Malleus's blessing saved Vil the recovery time by fixing it immediately. It's not the same as with Lilia's case however, because Lilia's aging IS caused by time, which means Malleus could never reverse it like he did with Vil. In terms of the lifespan part, I suspect that it is because Lilia is a fae, and fae basically exist because of magic (magic is like their blood); this is why Lilia is able to teleport and fly, and also probably why he doesn't want Malleus to see him die, because who knows? Maybe he'll evaporate into golden dust like Odin. So when Lilia sacrifice his power and lifespan for Malleus to hatch, it was basically Lilia taking a HUGE chunk of his power and giving it to egg Malleus. (I'm bringing my limited knowledge of Science into this lol) Magic is essentially energy, which means that it is able to create heat, and with eggs it's often that they need heat in order to hatch bc it makes the shell softer and ensures that the organism inside can focus on hatching rather than manually staying warm, so I believe a similar thing would happen to Malleus. He needs magic and heat to hatch, and maybe more than normal because he's a dragon, not a chicken.
I have a feeling Leona already knew Lilia was ancient. Hence why he calls him an old man sometimes

I can tell that Leona does respects Lilia in a way deep down.
Thank you for making this video. They are my favorite characters and the way they interact is always amusing to me!
Thank you so much for going over this!
Thank you so much for watching! ^^
