- In 2013, the last known footage of Elisa Lam came from grainy elevator security camera footage from the Cecil Hotel. The 21-year-old appears frantic and paranoid in the four minutes of footage-pressing multiple buttons, peaking nervously out of the doors, and hiding against the wall of the unmoving elevator from what appears to be an unseen person. The footage has since become infamous, going viral that February after the police first released it to the public, asking for tips in the case of Lam’s disappearance. Scores of internet sleuths jumped on the case of the missing young woman, and theories of paranormal activity, a threatening off-camera figure, and video manipulation quickly began to spread online. It didn’t help that the Canadian tourist, who was last seen on January 31, 2013 during the Los Angeles leg of her West Coast trip, happened to be staying in the notorious Cecil Hotel, a skid row landmark famously shrouded in darkness and crime. The first season of Joe Berlinger’s new Netflix series Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel works to demythologize the Cecil, and in doing so, logically work through and demystify the heartbreaking case of Elisa Lam.

I have been to this hotel briefly for about 20 minutes just to ask something for someone in the past years ago. But when I learned about this story afterwards, it’s a clear case of murder and hotel staff more likely involved but because victim was on mental health medication that’s why they tried to portrait as suicide or haunted stuff. There has to be someone from hotel involved in it and LA police has more or less same reputation as Mumbai police.
if staff was involved then rape could be in the question but it was only the murder...

Even if staff is not involved then still sometimes hotel cover up crimes to save their reputation from more damage. And this hotel is the epitome of all loose hell.

16:44 she pressed 'door open' button along with other floor buttons. The door open button keeps the lift door open for 2 mins.
16:55 She had Bipolar-I disorder which can be extreme and you feel someone is after you and you want to hide.
17:01 there was a second route to the roof of the building - fire exit stairs which runs from top to ground of the building externally. Theories point that she must have exited through a window and straight to the roof using these attached stairs.
17:30 climbing up the tank was easy. The tank lid was not heavy. The only lid open was of the tank in which she jumped. It is said that she was under the effect of Bipolar and counld not actually realize what she was into.

My suspection is Elisa already knew about the history of hotel. She had already seen dark water movie before and decided to come and stay at Cecil hotel. She might have influenced someone from hotel staff in first four days to block the lift and open the terrace door at respective time. (All because of her bipolar disorder).
It is a suicide from bipolar mindset.

Water tank must be big in size approx 10 feet in hight and 6 feet in diameter. If Elisa her self opened heavy water tank lid and jumped into the tank then it is impossible for her to CLOSE THAT HEAVY LID FULLY FROM SWIMMING INSIDE SO THEN WHO COVERED THE LID ?

1. Its a basic srvival technique to prees all the lift button whenver you are in trouble.
2. watch carefully you'll notice a shouse tip one the left side when she got out from the lift last time.
3. Clearly there were 3 person:- 1 lisa, A guy on left whose shouse tip can be seen and a guy from right side.

Alarm system off , took advantage of the girl, and since the hotel has a bad name one of the staff member took advantage of that too & the girl. They did see the girl confused through cctv monitor may be one the staff member or more without qualms commits the crime. 17 days in the water tank no evidence can be found if there was foul play eg rape. That's all your honor. I rest my case
