If anyone is using GoDaddy and having issues in 2024. There has been an update in Azure since this vid was posted. It used to only be CNAME or ALIAS records but an A record has also been added. This can be seen in the Action column (the old Documentation column in the vid). The A record gives you an IP address as the value for A. So follow along and wait for the TXT record validation to complete in Azure Then click on the action link (Add a CNAME, ALIAS or A record). Select A from the dropdown. Copy the IP Address. Then go over to your GoDaddy DNS Records. Select the A type. Set the name as @. And then paste the IP Address into the Value input. And that should sort you out.
My domain provider GoDaddy doesn't support Alias records. I've tried instead to use a CNAME and @ as host, but getting error: (Enter your host name as "@", "sub-domain"). Tried variations of the deciphered error message with no luck. Anyone have it working with GoDaddy?
Wasted hr+ of my life chatting with 2 Godaddy support techs. Ended up creating and correctly configuring NameCheap account in less time than it took for Godaddy folks to confirm Alias records are not supported.

Great explanation. Would Azure DNS ease the pain for a static website hosted in Azure?
Excellent, thanks!

But I have already the live website hosted on digital-ocean, what should I do to avoid down time?
