DART and TRE Train Action at Victory Station

- Today, I'm filming DART and TRE trains at one of the two TRE connection stations, Victory Station. At this station, DART trains open both doors to each side of the platform, which can only be seen at a few stations in the system.

You probably didn't care or notice, but 3:02-3:10 has to be the luckiest TRE-related catch ever! You caught both the now-defunct Ex-GO Transit Cab Cars on one train!
I know very very little about the TRE so I didn't notice... But I do care! Glad you pointed it out and happy to see I caught something cool!
@@NTxRE Yeah, that was actually 2 deactivated dab cars on one train! So basically, it’s three cab cars in total, nice catch!
11:18 That wasn't the same train from earlier. That was a different train that was at Union. Notice the first train you saw, the engine was 124. The second train you saw was 126
NickAlvizo TheGoAnimator Thanks for pointing it out! I have a better understanding of the schedules they run on now, but had it been outside rush hour, it should have been the same one

9:00 LRV 185 before derailment
It appears DART is repowering their 1990s LRVs to the same propoulsion as the 2005-2007 LRVs
Kevin Meno Indeed they are. I got the opportunity to speak with some folks in Maintenance, and they told me as the original LRV propulsion failed, or showed signs of issue, they were replacing it with new propulsion. They have to do what they must, but I'll miss the sound of the old inverters.

Yes, it's a common phrase in North Texas. Exactly as you said, Dallas/Fort Worth. It refers to the two cities and the area that surrounds them. They make up a large part of North Texas.
What is track 4 used for at Victory Station?
Unfortunately I couldn't tell ya... I believe it matches with the same track at Dallas Union Station, which is used to park the second TRE train when they're running half hour headways. I'd guess it's for future expansion here.

Track 4 is used for freight trains like BNSF or DGNO
When we were in Dallas they had the TRE parked their while they filled it up after a Mavericks Game but generally I think it's just for extra trains or to stop delays at the track ends if one train is slower but that's really just my guess and limited experience
