We did some cooking on the stove and a little running out for food. We love doing both cooking and usually visiting as many local restaurants as we can. Thanks for stopping by.

Loved your video. Excellent Camp set up. We were there last fall ,fun place and good trails , we live in Gaylord so it’s close and convenient. Dingmans, which is now the Bear Inn has great food too.

@DirtyJakTheDustyBean I have a question about your last machine. Did you ever have a problem with the lock and ride trunk? Did it ever come loose trailering at highway speeds or just trail riding? Thanks

@@river_keithWe always put a strap around it when traveling. It was a great system and in around the five years we used it never had an issue. So far the best on and off system by far we’ve used.

Same with me, I started out tent camping for years, then converted a cargo trailer into a toyhauler. Every year, I upgrade something in the trailer. Most recently, I bought a lithium iron phosphate battery and charger that is a vast improvement over lead acid batteries. Keep up the great videos they are informative and a joy to watch.
      Happy trails

Great video! Noticed you didn't use the stove jack protection wall cover. Good to know you don't need it. I was going to ask how long the stove lasts, but your answered that! Good to know you don't need to strap the tent down to use. Looking forward to more videos about your new tent!

Ours didn’t come with a protection wall cover, I know some of the others do but this one does not. We used it once and staked it down and the tent did well overall, we will see how it holds up over time- so far doing well.

Looks like a nice few days! We enjoy winter camping as well! Question…were the trails close to the campground? 50 inch? And were there any walking trails nearby! We camped on the Ausable River in February and were the only ones there as well…it’s a cool feeling!! Thanks for sharing your trip!!

    • @DirtyJakTheDustyBean

The 50 inch were a bit away unless we missed them (guessing couple of miles) the routes run right next to the campground.

Not sure if it was cut to big or supposed to be that way (tent comes with hole already in it from manufacturer). The tent still stayed warm enough just would like to touch that up before next winter and the temps are a bit colder than they were this time around.
