I think that seeing the sizes of items on an opponent's board, but not what the items are could be neat, but getting a preview of the PvE fights should just be part of the game, everybody is using the monster cheat sheet anyway.
When improving CD of an item other than the rod, you are multiplying that items contribution to the rods damage. When multiplying the cooldown of the rod directly, you are multiplying the contribution of ALL of your other items. Lowering the CD of the lightning rod compared to another item by the same fraction scales faster. If the fractions are different for each item this might change (say, -1 second on item with 1.2 second cooldown vs the rod can overcome the difference, as its a 83% reduction)
Last thing I tried something like this with Bees on Pyg, the next 3 opponents were sniper Vanessa that didn't activate any item until they one-tapped me for like 6k and then I died lol

yeah, Rarrans logic only makes sense if the rod is one tapping which it isnt even close to doing

34:24 you can actually see the shield of the lighting rod crit, but not the damage of it, so I have to assume they crit separately

It's highly likely this was during a stream before the items were banned since Armadillo was banned since Rarran received one.
