This is why I stopped frequenting Jamaican restaurants coz this is legit my experiences every single time. I don't care if you're a black owned business, you ain't getting my money. Plenty of soul food restaurants out there with much nicer black grandmas/moms still running it; I'll support those instead.
Jamaican, African American, it don't matter, the customer service is usually trash.
An arrogant rude Jamaican man once told me "I didn't come over here on a boat like you people...I flew over" ... all I said was "Cuckoo"...
Jamaicans are rude people. When you go to Vietnamese owned restaurants they are so friendly and ready to serve you. Of course they know in business that when you treat your customers well the more traffic and money it brings to your business
Frfr attitude for no reason is annoying
Ive never had this experience ever. Maybe because they're super nice out here. Thank you Ms. Sima for always serving it up with a beautiful smile and a wonderful attitude.
This literally happened to me almost word for word, but there were her little kids running all over screaming 😂
In NYC that just how they do u😂😂😂😂😂, u need a whole pep talk with urself when u go pick up Jamaican food
For real! It's a NYC thing. I went to a Little Cesar's in Bklyn and nobody was behind the counter. I gently said, "Hello??" And this girl came out and just stared at me. So I said, "Hi, how are you?"
.....Still the blank stare...
so I just gave up and ordered my pizza. I love my city but dag!
This happens here in the UK 🇬🇧 as well!
No it's a Caribbean thing
I have social anxiety and have been wanting to visit a jamaican place to try out oxtail and a couple other dishes💀 this just convinced me ill never be able to taste it 😭😂
it's not always this bad😂 psyche yourself up and go try!
Some of them do door dash now. I dashed a lot for my local restaurant in DE when I lived there.
I just order take out I can’t deal with the nasty customer service lmao
They’re not acting like that bc they hate you specifically or something, keep in mind it’s like a cultural thing. Everyone has to prove themselves to earn respect(edit: as in, in their culture; I personally think it’s backwards. Maybe it’s a low trust high crime society)
@@Danny-ii6jn same. Like.dont you want customers.
THE LOOK BACK 😭😭😭😭😭
Not the quick turn to look before answering, "No." 😂😂😂
This is spot on
Where??? Jamaican restaurants in America or Jamaica? Cuz I’m Jamaican and they don’t act like this when I go to restaurants unless someone really gives them a reason to be like that.
@@hannahbanana6785in America

Yep I be on the phone with my Jamaican cousin (he lives in Jamaica) he always cussin' and fussin' about how ignorant/rude they are to patrons 🫠
@@kerenkares4473 lol
I have a Jamaican lunch lady she called my friend fat for wanting a extra fruit cup
FRUIT CUP?
That's code for she wanted it lol
Funny thing is I only seen one lunch lady that wasn't overweight in all my years 😂
I remember being lectured by a carribean lady in Publix bed I wanted extra mayo. They get crazy about portioned food and will jones you for eating too much 😂😂
😩😂
Whether NY or Florida... 😂
"Wi nahve dat!" 😂
The customer service is as terrible as the food is good!
😂😂 facts #305
This is an exaggeration and it is not accurate.
It's been mine.
Everytime.
So much so that I only eat Jamaican food at friends homes.
I'll go find a good Haitian restaurant if I need curry goat.
@@danielsb1stbday That has not been my experience, I have had good service at Jamaican restaurants.

😂😂 WHEN THEY CLOSE, IT WILL BE TURNED INTO A KFC 😂

I loveeee my Jamaican restaurant from around my way!!! They show mad love ❤️ and they food is ALWAYS BOMB!!! Bbq 🍗 chicken FALL STRAIGHT OFF THE BONE!! There rice and peas , Mac & cheese LAWD JESUS A1… I’m from the BRONX NY & the Jamaicans out here Are Absolutely Beautiful PPL 🫶🏻 Just don’t f*ck around Cause then you’ll Have too find out 😩😆😆😜💪🏻
When I walk into the Jamaican restaurants, I don’t even look at the menu. I just ask “what do you have?”
Aghhh hahaha so it's universal. I'm from the UK and this is every Jamaican take out I've ever been too 😂
This was so accurate I almost disliked because I thought she was talking to me🤣🤣🤣
SAMEEEE lol😂
This is an exaggeration and it is not accurate.
Yeah I got triggered too.😅
@@jamaicanprincess4124 might be an exaggeration generally however there's plenty of people with an experience similar enough to this where it isn't an "exaggeration" to them. Sometimes they really are rude. Are Jamaican people rude in general? No not necessarily. However this is not uncommon at all
@@ChildOfYahuahElohim And there are plenty of people with good experiences.
I love the “WHAT?!?” at the end 😂😂😂
I got some bomb ass food from a jamacian spot and i had to go get some more sides because it was so damn good. They rolled their eyes and complained how theyre not going to have enough to take home. Honeslty should've just walked away but i already paid. But im never going back for something i can look up on youtube to make.
And Asian restaurants always say "tin minnutts! 🤭😂🤣😂❤️❤️❤ to all😘
Yep-you could order everything on their menu and it will still be 10 minutes.
😂😂😂😂
The good thing is my food is ALWAYS ready in 10 minutes too lmao
Mine used to. Now they say 15. 😂
I sweeeear. Went to south Florida for the first time and it’s like you’re bothering them by even coming in and spending money. And yes, half the menu is unavailable! But did I go back a second time? You bet I did.
Well that's just every business in south Florida 😭 I live here, and tbh I mostly apologize to them for even trying to speak to them 💀💀💀
Especially in Ft. Lauderdale
I had a layover in Hollywood recently and mostly everyone there were literally some of the rudest people I've ever encountered, and I've been all over the US.
@@Foreverforestsyes! I’m from South Georgia & we went to Miami & the whole time we were talking about how rude people are then we met a girl on south beach from New York & we asked her how she felt about being down here & she said “it’s fine but people are weirdly overly nice” & we were like what!??? 😂😂😂
@@lovelace01107I’m from the Bay Area (California) and I was visiting friends in Fort Lauderdale a few years ago. We went to the flea market (swap shop?) and it made me realize how much I miss the San Jose Flea Market lol
How are you this doggone funny, girl- I’ve laughing at every facial expression , the WHAT❗️❗️ take me out 🤣🤣🤣🤣
as someone with a Jamaican mother, i can confirm this is how they talk to you 🤣🤣
This is an exaggeration and it is not accurate.
The guy that owns the Jamaican restaurant where I live was arrested for trafficking cocaine through there 😂
WHATTT LMFAO
So...is that why they act like poor mannered mentally ill teenagers? They're all criminals running front businesses? 😂
Lmao 😂
Oops! 😂💀
Oop 😂
THIS IS LITERALLY THE PLACE NEAR ME. The service is ASS but the coconut cake is soooo good. Mama at least pretend you want my patronage 😭😩
She became squidwards magic conch 🤣
😂 I'm so weak I swear this is exactly how the Jamaican lady was when I was getting food , her attitude was so stank , and it seem like everybody was scared of her but me ,I laughed and said I'll report you to the bbb 😂 she start going on and on
As a white man who enjoys Island cuisine, I often find it necessary to have my black wife place our food orders. This is because I consistently receive smaller portions and am charged more when I order myself. This treatment feels like clear discrimination.
Damn that's fucked
Your 'black wife'...lol
Not your 'wife, who is black'?....are you sure you're not 'Jamaican'....😅😅😅
lol
Oh damn that's terrible. There's a couple of BBQ food trucks near where I live, that will hook all of the white men construction workers up with mountains of food. And it seems like they only give the Black customer's (I'm black female) really measly portions. Like WTF! I stop going there.
But they say yall dont like rice...
So true! I bought my food (carry out) and the Jamaican man didn't want to give me bags so the gravy wouldn't spill in my car. I spent over $20 and he treated me like a beggar.
WHHAAATT???! lol has me dying 🤣😂😅🥲🥹😆
A true Jamaican woulda ask “what you have “before start ordering because wi know dem always nuh have half of what dem have on the menu 😂😂😂😂😂
In Africa too 😂😂😂😂
Lmfaooo i love my people but holy crap why are some of our shops like this 😂😅 im too quick with the google reviews tbh 😂😅
I’m gonna be honest, the Jamaican restaurant next to the college I went to everyone was so nice and sweet to me. Once the door on my van freaking fell off and some of the guys in the back helped me get it secured back to my car so I wouldn’t miss class!
Awesome! ❤️

Whattt? The peiple at our Jamaican restaurants are always such a vibe and so nice. They either sit and play chess with us or dance with the music
This is so true. They say the meaner the person behind the counter the better the food.
