I said it immediately after the scene in the counselling office: “he’s gonna win the BAFTA.” Never been happier to be right. Congratulations.
In my opinion that was my favorite and what made fall in love with him as an actor. That counseling scene was raw, brutal and honest. You could feel his pain, confusion and shame.
Same here.. I also thought the same at that very scene. That was simply pure and raw.

He earned this. I have honestly never seen an actor portray vulnerability and anxiety in such a beautiful and believable way. I wanted to wrap that character up in my arms and protect him. Flowers, flowers, flowers!!!

Paul Mescal is way ahead of his time. He’s already nominated for an Oscar for Aftersun at 26 and only made his film debut in 2021.

He totally reminded me of Connell here when he was all nervous! Just ❤️ him.
Totally deserved! The script is great and the main duet played by Paul and Daisy is more than credible; they are beautiful and so expressive even without speaking. An addictive series. Emotions and feelings that touch us.

The cup looks like him so much. I think the reason for that is the cup was based on some acient Greek beauty standards and he has just the exact appearance. So gorgeous.

I think it’s a bit of a shame that this all occurred during covid times. Of course them winning must’ve felt amazing, but to some extent the winners missed out on a proper and normal “winning a BAFTA experience” - I wish there was a different timeline where they didn’t have to deal with that
