As a Sharks fan I remember Jovanovski as a steady defenseman mostly with the Canucks but I will never forget when he hit one of my favorite all time Sharks in Tony Granato and Bernie Nicholls dropped the gloves coming to Granatos defense. Tony Granato had brain surgery if I remember right the season before when he was with the Kings and Jovanovski had given him a headshot. I will never forget Bernie Nicholls dropping the gloves right away and sticking up for his current teammate with the Sharks and former teammate with the Kings Tony Granato. The Sharks have definitely missed the kind of leadership Granato brought, he was a lot like Pavelski.
When Canucks fans think of Jovo, they remember him jumping up and down in the penalty box when Naslund passed it across to Matt Cooke, who scored to tie the game late in Game 7 against Calgary with under 10 seconds left on the clock. Hearing the commentary team go, "WHO SAYS PRAYER DOESN'T WORK?" while the camera pans over to Jovo jumping in the box uncontrollably.
Another JovoCop fan too. MAJOR fan even with his few faults that he had. Still defend him today against those non-fans. I'll always remember him jumping up and down and going crazy after Matt Cooke's game tying goal against Calgary in the 04 playoffs. Also as someone said down below, he was an absolute stud in NHL '02.
I hope you'll make video about Todd Bertuzzi when you mentioned West Coast Express. I know he is a controversial one because of incident, but before that he really made me a fan of Canucks. Alongside Naslund.
What in Sam Hill is going on here..? The career of Scott Mellanby... The career of Rob Neidermayer... The career of Pavel Bure... The career of Ed Jovanovski... As a lifelong Panthers fan... can I give you a hug?
Yyrki Lumme, Jovocop, Bret Hedican, Doug Lidster, Robert Dirk, Ronnie Stern, Dana Murzyn, Jeff Brown...the Canucks had a lot of pretty good defencemen in the 90s, Ed would be in my Top 3, I was a big fan of Lumme and Hedican too.
Had a high school class mate meet him in Hawaii. She said he wasn’t impressed that her father basically fan girled over him lol. They got a photo with him though
They're like high school sweeties during Valentine's Day. Who can give the other one the better gift to prove they love the other one more? I think Florida loves Vancouver more, Pavel was a nice gesture but Ed had a bigger impact overall.
Overall yes, but Edler never reached his potential. You saw his potential game 1 vs. Chicago in 2010. Edler hit everything that moved and was stellar in defense and offense. Full game is on TH-cam: th-cam.com/video/WzQp747yje4/w-d-xo.html
Average player. The 94 draft was weak. He was the best choice of Canadian players. The draft at that time was still bias against Americans and Europeans. He always rubbed the wrong way after he sexually assaulted that girl when he played junior hockey.
Ah, that points total is satisfying.
He was a beast in NHL 2002. I believe he had the hammer and stick icon and his speed was also high. Nice long, underrated career for Jovanovski.
He was a good D man , from same hometown , same Barber for years and my Dad worked with his Dad at General Motors!!
Jovo!!!! Legend here in south Florida
Perfect! Still wear my Jovo jersey when I play road hockey, will be wearing it when I attend a meetup.
My all time favorite player! (alongside Markus Naslund)
JOVO COP! One of my all-time favourite D-Men and one of the most underrated 1st overall picks EVER.
Thanks for the content, I wish he stayed with the Canucks a season or two longer.
Loved Jovo as a Canuck.

Awesome video! Lifelong Panthers fan and Jovo was and is my favorite player.
My all time favorite player
From my hometown. Awesome player, very underated.
Jovocop was awesome the way he got under the skin of Eric Lindros in that 96 playoff series.
We loved Jovo when he played for his hometown Windsor Spitfires. No one messed with him. Tough guy indeed but highly talented.
Jovocop was great! Any chance of doing a video on which first year players are going to have the greatest impact this year?

After he knocked out Adam Deadmarsh in a fight I think Deadmarch was never the same player after that.
Arguably his best game. He deserved all 3 stars. I know, because I was there.
@Angry JayByrd JovoCop. That was a historic game for the Canucks, and highly entertaining.
These are some of my favourite videos man. Love all your work but the career videos are always great.
I actually played on a team with Jovanoski’s kid, he played D and was pretty darn good
A career of Ed Belfour video would be really cool

Favorite canuck hands down
I still have a Jovo stick from his OHL days, watched him playing growing up.
Been here since he had 7k subs now over 210k more now nicely done THG
Loved Jovo Cop! Career video of Radek Bonk?
Jovo dropping Deadmarsh. First thing I think of when I hear his name.
I was at that game standing in direct line of that fight.
Still can picture Jovo cop jumping in the box when cooker scored with seconds left to tie against Calgary in game 7.
I used too see him play in the OHL at Windsor Spitfires home games.
JovoCop. What a generational nickname.
Jovanovski's out of 6th place Norris placements are the highest a Canucks dman has ever been in that award's voting.
Jovocop was a crusher for Canucks
What in Sam Hill is going on here..?
The career of Scott Mellanby...
The career of Rob Neidermayer...
The career of Pavel Bure...
The career of Ed Jovanovski...
As a lifelong Panthers fan... can I give you a hug?
I would be the happiest man in Nova Scotia if you did a Terry Sawchuk video in the near future:)

Do one on Dave Andreychuk
You should do a Mattias Ohlund career video in the near future
JovaCop!!
+thehockeyguy Shannon can you do a THG hall of fame video on Teppo Numinnen & Dave Taylor.
Very interesting. This is why the Coyotes should relocate.
That’s my mom third cousin! Have not seen him in a long time but gave me a signed hockey stick when I was a kid
Jovo Cop!
500 points gold medals #1 overall pick
Had a high school class mate meet him in Hawaii. She said he wasn’t impressed that her father basically fan girled over him lol. They got a photo with him though
Great
Wow! Didn't realize he played upto 2014
THE JOVO COP
Jovocopppp
I was always a fan of Ed Jovanovski. Sold D man, and could he ever go! When he fought, he threw punches with BAD intentions. He k.o.'d a couple guys.
“Jovo-Cop” 👍
Have you ever done a Darcy Wakaluk video?
canucks and panthers have made lots of big deals with each other
They're like high school sweeties during Valentine's Day. Who can give the other one the better gift to prove they love the other one more? I think Florida loves Vancouver more, Pavel was a nice gesture but Ed had a bigger impact overall.
Yup bure luongo and jovo all went between those teams along with many others
@@argo1879 Allen too, I don't think he'll be in one of these but man I loved Brian Allen (panthers fan)
Can the Coyotes just move already?
I wonder if anybody like hockey in Québec City.
Who's next? Doan?
Macedonian ☀️
Josh Archibald out for the season with heart condition

Best Canucks defenseman was Alexander Edler
Ur pfp looks like a thin travis green
