Recently restored former D&RGW Baldwin K27 locomotive 463 out on the 4% grade towards Cumbres on 17th September 2013 with an engineer school train working hard.
Thank you for your kind comments. Funnily enough, we do have some. Last time that I looked there where a couple still available that we did a few years ago on the Friends of the C&TSR website. This is the first time that I have looked at this video in a while. Five years on, I reckon I could deliver the same in half the running time as I have refined my editing skills.
Thanks enjoyed watching 👍👍👍👍
this makes me sad and happy all at once..i used to ride this train when i was a kid..i love the sound of the whistle..its different..good memories
grandios - landscape and train
Love the "Hooter" whistle.
Some of the best videography I've ever seen! Design/composition, use of color, cuts and dissolves, a just-plain-wow.
Now, where do I buy the DVD?
Thank you for your kind comments.

You UK-ian?!
I'll be on the 315 charter at the beginning of June, 2018.
Yes. London based. Be in Chama for 10 days from 6th and again mid September.
I miss that by a few days
Amazing. This looks as if It back in the old west
Thank you for your kind comments.
That D&RGW 1-chime almost sounds like a German locomotive or N&W #475.
This loco has a very distinctive sound.
Very nice!
What is with the headlight? It's numbered 583, and it is much older than 463's moral headlight.
+Armagon Armagon Well spotted. It was fitted to the loco for some filming work I believe and left on for a little time.
1 million ways to die in the west I beleive!
I want a 16" version , just like the whiskey steam railroad.
I wish I could build a 3 foot gauge engine and run it there
