- In today's Farming Simulator 17 time lapse video, which is set in Sandy Bay in Devon, in the South West of the UK-
The fields have a lot of overhanging trees that are causing us some problems. The crops ripen more slowly in the shade and the straw is not very good quality. So today we're making a start on clearing some of the hedgerows of overhanging branches. We're also going to build ourselves an automated sawmill to help process some of the timber into something more profitable!

nice vid! when i used to play farming( i´ve only played the 2009,2011 adn 2013 because my pc is horrible), it was a lot of fun.

FS17 is not very hard to run. I have a Core2Duo @ 2.8GHz with a nVidia GT240 and the only map I've had any issues running is Broad Acres 16x. Sure I've had to turn the detail settings down, but even low settings in 17 are still vastly better than 13 at full detail. The game is still very much playable. No issues with hired help, courseplay, GPS mod etc.

The only upgrade my PC has had since 2009 is a 240Gb SSD for a boot drive. I have FS17 installed on a mechanical drive, and as previously mentioned, by turning some detail settings down the game runs fine. It's hard to imagine someone running something older than a Core2, so I'm guessing you've got something like an old laptop with no GPU in it. Also I think 17 is far better optimised than 15 was.

Hey frithgar! Great vids and series, have been followed you since Gold Grest Valley and wow, some fantastic series u make! Love to use my times to watch them specially the dowland series! Ehm, my question is about the with change from use straw blower til just can drop these bales at pigs, how can u change that? Think many others have the same question, so maybe make a little guided video to change it? See ya at next video!
You have to open the map itself in the Giants Editor, then enable bales on the pig area, I found a step by step video after a Google search on how to do it. Open the map, then open one of the standard game maps and start running comparisons between the two so you can figure out what to add with the bale trigger. Fortunately this one only had the bale trigger disabled and not removed, which made it a lot easier. I've also moved it slightly so the bales are put into the pig pen, rather than in front of it to make it more realistic

Frithgar, whit the pallet sale mod (shed), it gives the double of the normal sale by the woordchip sale.
And you get less than £5000 for 2 pallets ( by the placable wood pallet sale).

Nice video, but I'd just like to point out that a chainsaw doesn't have a blade. It has a bar and a chain.
Which in my part of the world is usually referred to as a blade ;)
Here in Aus it's bar and chain also. It seems so wrong to me when people refer to a chainsaw as having a blade.
I live in Australia too and my dad is a arborist and has taught me to call it a bar and chain, I used to call it a blade until he corrected me, then when thought about it, calling the bar and chain a blade made no sense.

Did you know, that canola makes the yield of the crop, that is planted after it lower, but corn increases it, not in the game tho (I think)
+ to that, in real life, farmers don't plant canola after canola, since the yield the 2nd time would be terrible
That's definitely not modeled in game.

Why there is no seasons mod ? Is it not recommended for this map ?

I thought that you were supposed to by more land from the vote
Those votes are to get an idea of what people like, enough people liked the idea of potato harvesters that I decided to go for them as I've not done much regular root crops in any timelapse series yet. Will buy more land later once we start selling our pigs :)
why dontt you use some of those wood pallets for making bee houses in the near future.
I may add in some of the slow bee pack, I'll give that one some thought though, the main product for selling is the honey milk and we don't have any cows for it!

Cindy Gagnon some mod tractors do have that and just look in your keybindings for your set key

IC is specific to certain mods. Look at the help window (F1 on PC) while in a vehicle to see which button activates it, or if it even has IC. Different mod authors use different keybinds.
