Ive been paying for highest internet speed since years and walways played wired and still had packet loss/lagged, high ping and latency. The problem is not the internet or cable, its the router. The router's function is to distribute the internet from the modem to all other comnected devices and depending on how fast it does it, its where the lag and ping comes in. So, get yourselves a pretty good gaming router, the most you can comfortably spend
I bought a Netgear Night hawk router a few years back after the switch from the ISP router to the new one was night and day. I gained 40% more download speed. (at the time I was get 145mbs paid for 200mbs) after the purchase i was getting 230mbs. My ping went from 80-100 down to 32-50. made a big difference. Once fiber came in my router was running 16-24 consistently. Invest in a beefy router. it is worth every penny.
Depends on your home power wiring. My house is on three phase mains given the enormous ducted AC unit I've got, and EoP is useless, but it worked fine at an old house.
if we compare cat 7 to cat 8 there wont be much difference if we look at ping but there is difference as cat 8 can reach up to 40gbs with higher frequency of 2000MHz and if we look at cat 7, cat 7 goes up to 600MHz but it can depend on metrics so yea but cat 8 is kinda rare to find too @@balexthethug

It's like 40 for a good powerline adapter like a really good one and a cat8 cord is only like 10 bucks for 25ft that 50 bucks is the difference between 50 ping and 10 ping
everyone heres cappin just to let u know the dude with cat 6 ive tried every ethernet and whilst is does improve its not drasticly dofferent from wireless and ur location is the main thing i have the most upgraded wifi with wired ethernet fastest cables still get 30 ping because when we moved in we was told the location of our has even fully upgraded will have the worst wifi on the steet bro
My internet is dogshit even with this im talking average 2000 ping below 3 download speed average below 1.5 upload speed and at this point i spent over £4000 on my pc setup and its not even fun to play

Wireless Ethernet cable? I would assume a USB wireless adapter but depending how far you are from your router and the bandwidth that you are paying for will be cause issues. Also how many walls you have between the router and you if not just update your drivers

@@cjaskew_18make sure to use 5ghz wireless connection. If your pc is in the same room with your modem there is only 1-2 ping difference. If your modem has 5ghz light indicator. It means your modem has 5ghz capability. If you don't know what i am talk about. Just search it. Its an easy topic.

Yeah depends on your Internet provider
your ping is basically the distance between the server and your house. It does not matter if you have 100mb or 1gb speed.
Cat 8 is the best ethernet cable for gaming and for lower ping
