Great job on the new tank! I’ve been working a lot of overtime lately and I can’t believe how fast I got way behind on your awesome videos. You also stay safe and extremely healthy!
Very nice! I often walk away from a project to think about doing something in a different way after a fiasco. I had a long week at work so I’m vegetating on Sunday. I’ll go back to my tug bottom painting tomorrow. I’m testing paint reaction to layering different colors. I dont want crinkling this time. The red is notorious for that.
If you think of your bad day in the shop as a learning experience, and not a bad day, you won't be disappointed when you remember it. Assuming you DID learn something, that is. Cheers, Keith
On "one of those days" disaster seems to be lurking in every corner of your workshop. Happens to all of us. In a quirky way I was happy it happened to you as well. It does not only happen to the ignorant like me. Best for me is quit and pick up a book and read for the rest of the day, or make a decent walk (10 miles +).. Tomorrow there will be another day.
I've seen so many of your videos that I'm losing track of the details. Have you used a super glue arbor to turn parts like that brass disc? Or is that part too large for such a method? I've seen them used for clock parts, which tend to be smaller. I'm excited to be in the process of setting up my own small machine shop. I have a miniature lathe and mill from Sherline, as I'm planning to focus on clock repair and fabrication for now.

No, Super glue is brittle. I use Loctite 603.
