Man that looks like a great tool. We ordered one for our 130G last fall. Looking forward to using it on some of our goat trails. Thanks for the demo. Helps us tremendously.
Thanks for the explanation. Pretty neat process. Learn something new every video. Not something practiced in western PA. Cool idea to prevent clods when you pull shoulders.
nice . . . we did ours a few weeks back, used the Sandvik's to spread it across the top of the road bed, then 16 inches of snow. Boy, did that pack in hard. Good work - thanks again for sharing !
I just about did ours around same time you did and saw snow in forecast so figured better wait glad it worked out for you guys and I enjoy sharing with others thanks for watching!
Thanks Graderman, Never saw one of those before, does a great job-that’s an incredibly straight edge you cut. Don’t think they have those here in New England.Great video.
We did all our townships last week, it’s best to get after it before the grass starts growing. Ours is mounted on a tractor, one township next to us has the disc mounted on the wing post.
That’s good you got all yours done and yes I agree it definitely helps if you can get it all done before grass gets to tall less vegetation to deal with. I have one on the tractor and one on blade I really like the one on front of blade much easier to control and see what you’re doing.
Yes it does a very nice job and is a huge time saver I run the disc at 8 to 9mph I’ve found that’s the perfect speed to still be able to control my he disc and not throw material to far on to the road thanks for watching!
@@graderman140m ok, camera and the material flying up on to road the edge makes it appear like you are doing about 35mph…. Hahaha..! Thank you for the reply back.
I run around 8 to 9 mph when I disc that seems to be the perfect speed I’ve found where you can control the disc and still cut material up nicely. Thanks for watching!
I run the cylinder in the middle of the block that way it float then I control how aggressive it is my rising or lowering the front lift group don’t want to leave an edge with the edge of the disc hope this helps thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!
I generally do half the township one year and then the other half the following year and just keep repeating that cycle I’ve found doing it that way you keep ahead of your problems plus if you do often enough doesn’t make near the mess either

You’re welcome glad the video helped you good luck when you get your disc thanks for watching!
@@graderman140m is it true that all road users know more about grading than the guy who is doing the job? Hahahaha
@@kenmarchbanks4301 oh yes that is a given that every road user knows better then the guy operating the grader.

Your welcome it really speeds this process up and you can cover a lot of miles in a day I can do a whole township in 10 hours

Do you have the disc's floating out at you adjusting in ad similar way when pulling a grade

How often do you do it? Like every spring?

What speed?
I run right at 8 to 9 mph with this disc I don’t go any faster then that and at that speed you can control the disc.
That’s what I use to run using the disc like yours, now retired but the video looks so much faster!
