actually the reason why the boomerang was "invisible" was because it is too small and it is inside mario because you see giga mario but hes actually small

The boomerang is the normal size, instead of giant, so it looks like it doesn’t appear.
Also, the range doesn’t change, so it doesn’t go far enough to be seen anyway.

then why would the fireballs be small? I think he is larger, but he uses the same model scaled up.
They use the same model but larger. So Mario is indeed larger. However‚ when you grab a Mega Mushroom normally‚ it changes your speed (you of course go faster when Mega than normal sized). But the new speed value isn't scaled to Giga Bells. So you are Giga Mega‚ with the speed of regular Mega‚ which seems extremely slow at this scale

The goomba mask and block powerups probably didn't work because you activated them whilst Mario was on the water. Try to activate those powerups on land if you can next time.
Have you try to use the masks where there's no water? Maybe it's the reason why they can't be put on

Mega mario isn’t slow, I’m pretty sure he just retains the properties of normal mario, so, even though he looks massive, in all other aspects he behaves as if he was normal. I could be completely wrong, as this is just an observation, but he does look like he is moving at normal Mario’s speed

The hats may actually work if you do it on land rather than in the water, since the hats fall off if you touch the water.
The water animations from the mega shroom are because Mario’s hit box and actual size become normal after the effect wears off: he isn’t moving slowly, he’s just moving at normal Mario speed. The only thing that doesn’t change back is Mario’s model and the camera, which stay in the giga form.

Giga Boomerang mario is actually throwing boomerangs, just they don't go outside the model because boomerangs can only go a set distance @Smashy
1:30 I think when the mushroom effect wears off, the game treats mega Mario as the normal size mario, hence the speed, low jump, and the swimming

The mega mushroom probably does what it does because it changes Mario's size already. What probably happened is that Mario turned into Mega Mario, which is a smaller state than Giga Mario. The game probably just registered that but because the Giga Mario stare can't change size, it still looks like Giga Mario. That's why he loves so much slower and is swimming.
Fire Mario looks like he's punching, just like in Super Mario 64. 😁
Okay, but can you imagine how fucking cool Giga Fire Mario would be? Like just imagine Fury Bowser blasts out a massive fire beam and you counter it with one of your own

I have an idea for SMM2 mythbuster: ‘Mario can only damage boost through the SMB and SMB3 bowsers.’
Myth: You can glitch the exclusive cat chars from Bowser's fury into normal 3D world. ( Such as the Cat Koopa, the Cat Plessie , Cat Piranha plant etc. )
So, there was a flaw with the mask thing. The masks automatically fall off when in water, so hypothetically, if you were on land, it might work.

My theory is that the boomerang is actually thrown, just such a short distance compared to his size, it says inside of him.
When you get a mega mushroom and it wears off, I’m assuming the game believes Mario is Normal size, hence why he can swim, and how he moves slowly.

I found another glitch with the ground pound switch if you ground pound it at it's side Mario will glitch out till the ground spawn scene ends
The boxes and masks come off because you're in water.
Imagine if in the next game there gonna be a super sayan tunuki suit and a super sayan fire flower suit
So I think Mario is permanently grown to a certain size unless bowser is knocked out and when the mega mush is collected it thinks it grows Mario but Mario is the same, and I think it believes Mario has shrunken down to his small size and kept the collision of big Mario but he has the position of normal Mario and that’s why he was swimming but couldn’t get on land

1:13 to anyone wondering why this happened let me use my Game Dev knowledge to explain.....
When collecting the gig about it super sizes the hitbox of Mario and his model
Same with the mega mushroom although the mega mushroom has a set size
so when time Runs Out it shrinks the hitbox back to the normal size but the model stays the same!
That was a brief summarize. I'm not claiming that I know exactly how its works I'm just using my Game Dev knowledge

I remember being able to use powerups from the item menu and the fireballs were normal
the boomerangs probably aren't invisible, they just are always in giga mario, as normal mario has a smaller hitbox and because it doesn't have as much range as the falling fire ball, the boomerang are thrown from normal mario's hitbox but they never reach somewhere that we could actually see because of how big is giga mario, if we made gm invisible, we could probably see the boomerang flying a very short distance
a better expanation, the distance between normal mario's hitbox and giga mario's is shorter than the range of the boomerang (this made more sense in my mind)

Im pretty sure the boomerangs spawn where normal mario's hand would be, and they do not have enough range to leave the inside of giga mario

Something I wonder about these parts of the game: Do they take place on the exact same map as normal gameplay? The screen fading (and the load time before and after the fights) makes me suspicion the fights take place on their own map, but I'd love to be proven wrong as Mario and Bowser fighting around the actual levels would be really technically impressive.
Also, just because I know developers are sneaky with them, how much of Bowser's Fury uses videos instead of in-game cutscenes? It's harder to tell with modern game graphics.
