i ended up against spud in a 5 hour match and won seen he was gm looked up his name and found my match in twitch was absolutely funny as shit the amount he hated me lmao sadly no yt yet
as a pretty long time watcher / occasional player, i pray for the day i open one of you or kylteds video and hear you playing against me. I don’t snipe but think it would be so cool to randomly hear how bad i played from one of yall
Canadians are more polite, but not friendlier. Meaning they'll apologize if they accidentally bump into you, or hold the door open, but they wont introduce themselves and make conversation. The friendliest place I've ever been was rural Texas.
I have never been to the USA, so I can't tell you about it. However, since I moved to Canada, many people, especially elderly Canadians, have started a conversation with me in the streets out of nowhere, even more so when I'm with my dog. Curiously enough, I didn't make a single "real" Canadian friend. Most of the friends are colleagues or acquaintances only.
What if the three saudis were simply beginners who wanted to play a game together (with a full lobby) and didn't want to violate the rules by playing ranked ?
@@ZackRahmoun I think it depends on where. When I choose a flag (from canada) it stays until I change it again, unless I change it to Italy, the game automatically changes Italy to unspecified after the game.
Honestly, increasing everyone's intelligence to over 150 IQ sounds terrifying - born with the capacity would be better - automation of labour intense work would likely need to be universal - or - work being meaningful with time to spend on intellectually stimulating pursuits - open access to information also - Currently horrified, feeling powerless in the desire to save life and live a life while under imperialist capitalism - hard to imagine an intelligence reset changing power structures - but then again reducing the intelligence of 0.03-0.3% of the population hardly a change and we're still in a mess - why not try the reset and witness chaos when everyone suddenly thinks their job is pointless, inefficient or soul destroying - how much damage and how long to repair - feeling like intelligence is just greater capacity to be burdened by trauma lol
Hi Pete... Silent observer here.. I watch your videos as soon as I see the. Good job on what you do. I love to watch you and most of times fall asleep watching you. Anyway... Your thumbnail today isn't inviting as much... I personally love to see risk on the background. Cheers... Good day😊
Isnt it frustrating when youre the boots on the ground, you can see exactly where things are going wrong and you have a bunch of ideas. Yet no matter how hard you try nobody will listen, your words echo around the room only to dissipate into dust. I was in a very similar situation at my old job. I tried for a very long time but in the end gave up and stopped caring, it really was a shame but i had played all my hands.. throwing in the towel was my last option.
It's not controversial at all! You're totally free to consider whatever you like cheating. The game considers playing with friends in casual cheating. I'm not making any sort of claim about the world that should be. I obviously would design certain things very differently if I was in charge. But in this world the devs get to make the rules.
Like the vast majority of people employed in media, by companies I mean, the devs care about having an easy job where they don't have to do anything much so all their decisions and actions are centered around maintaining an easy job where they don't have to do anything much. None of their decisions or actions are much related to the product or the customers, but around presenting an illusion of doing useful work to their employers, who themselves don't know much about the products or customers of the company they represent. Publishing is the same. The employed in media companies blag their way into jobs and then blag maintaining that position. How do they get away with it? Sales of media products are largely a function of statistics related to marketing; that is, you put even a garbage product in front of enough people and even a small percentage of sales and support from those exposed to the product will keep the company afloat. Here's a concrete irl example: I sold a game product to an editor, the game changed hands before it saw print, the new editor did zero work on the product other than removing one map and replacing it with another that made everything about the product meaningless. Literally no work at all, the manuscript and print version were identical down to spelling errors, typos and bad justification. When speaking to the publisher later, he sad the editor had "done a lot of work on it." He didn't know. He only knew what the editor had told him. Not all, but most people in media are like that; they don't care about the customers or the product, or the company. They have a cushy number, and that's what they care about. Pity, really, but what can you do?
I would raise the intelligence of the world. I came to the conclusion that being kind and working together, bringing the lowest among society up, is what we (and by extension I) should do. I reached that conclusion because of my intelligence. I believe it is the ineptitude of most people, that makes life worse. And I believe if people were not inept, they'd also conclude that mutually beneficial relations is the way to go. But maybe I'm not inept, and I'm just naive.
I'd be willing to bet a lot that smgs test audience for changes is purely made up of people who've never even heard of the game. I'm not a multi-million dollar game dev, but it's plain to see that pandering only to new players will affect the longevity of the game. Hope they enjoy the cash grab while it lasts.
Prog caps on Eu advanced with not fog will stalemate for sure. Alliances help. The negotiation game is effectively this but since the prog cards don't come into play it forces the action nicely
I think as your a content creator that you can, in some ways, bear the bullshit the game developers refuse to fix (cheating/collab/incessant bot outs/etc) as you are a) earning money to do so and b) in effect highlighting these issues. I think this is a much harder sell to people looking to casually kill an hour after a day at work - I don’t want to join a game, play for 30minutes, then have someone inexplicably bot out and the subsequent bot ruin my chances in the game. I am not serious about winning, but when I am playing I am playing to both have fun and try to win, and the endless layers of bullshit make that increasingly difficult. As a result I deleted the game as I was regularly spending an hour or more playing only to have opponents bot out and tank the game. I personally don’t have enough free time, or enough patience, to keep doing that - but if I was a content creator I obviously would despite the inherent flaws.
I am not a twitch watcher but if I ever in a lobby with you and I know for fact its you then I will switch the lobby immediately. I may played with you with one of you alters though
Hi Pete. If you were the most intelligent person in the world, I believe that you would become exasperated at having to deal with all of the lesser intellects.
I saw a comment in the stream chat about a TH-camr named CGplays. No ill will to him, but I do not like his videos about risk anymore because he will not post a loss. Only the wins, and it is a boring form of video
It makes sense. I peek at the end of Pete's videos to see if he pulls off a win. If he doesn't, I have to decide if I want to watch the vid to find the lesson in the loss. Or, if Pete were to win the match at the end, I can pick out the point in the game where Pete made strategical decisions to ensure or steal a win. So, naturally, those videos where Pete wins would seem to have more value to me in improving my own tactical game rather than showing a loss.
One of the great things about having so many excellent creators around is that it is more likely there is someone who speaks to you! I'm glad you're here and enjoying the show!

Ima need the name and the day this happened, I may go and watch the VOD

The good news is a lot of people do listen and agree.
The devs would be wise to listen too before it's too late
Hey Pete, any advice for a service company startup?
General advice for business is if you do exactly what you say you're going to do you're immediately in the top ten percent of businesses that exist
Im sure this is controversial, but i dont consider it cheating if you are playing with friends in a causual game. Only cheating if its ranked.
