Hamdoullah, at the end we buy food with what we earn and that food is part of body for a while😅, so if the money is halal or haram is a very crucial issue. Even if a du3a is accepted or not is based on the nature of the income, halal or haram.

@@pr4133 Salam, no it's not allowed to use musical instruments in any sort of situation. Unless you want to be accountable for every person that you hurt.
Use no backround noise or at the least some nasheed (Make sure they don't use instuments) or sounds from the daff/tambourine

i mean print of demande companies (the ones that do the printing) have a contract towards you , and when someone make a purchase on your website , the email you send will have all product specifications including the time of arrival via shipping ( and shipping got way more advanced and available ) , so i guess that'll put POD in the second case. wa allahou a'alam

Asalaam Alaikum. Ok so I started a e-commerce dropshipping business very recently. I had a brother told me this is not a halal business because we don't have any tangible items in hand. Now he's not someone who's a sheikh but always surrounded himself with students of knowledge Masha'Allah.
I wish I would have known this earlier before I put money on this. Watching this video gave me some level of comfort but still feel uneasy about it. Not that I am doubting this brother but any of us can justify our interpretation of the Ayah's and Hadiths based on our desires to try to make excuses or whatever. I know this brother in this video means well and May Allah reward him immensely for it.
If there any scholars that aligns with this brother's views, please share the sources Insha'Allah. And I agree with Reem, anyone who came across this video has taqwa for sure. Subhan'Allah.

We need the opinions of authentic scholars who know the Hadith and sunnah - end of the day there is not any counter to not selling what you don’t own. What if something happens when the company is shipping the product to the client, and then they ask you (the payer) to buy it again? It’s risk overall and it’s better to work like an agent with the company, and make percent commission on sales

9:19 usually every shop on shopify is directly connected with the wholesaler. Once someone buys from you, the wholesaler gets immediately informed and delivers the item.

Just a quick question - I watch Zakir Naik video on this topic and he mentioned that if the supplier is the one who sends the product to the customer then this is haram. To fix this, you yourself need to make an agreement with courier who picks up the product from the supplier, and the agreement states that the courier picks up the product on your behalf. Is this correct - what is your view?
Regarding liability, if someone doesn't receive their product, and you as the retailer refund them, is this accepting liability?
Thirdly, I watched on other videos that dropshipping is haram - for it to be halal, you need to make an agreement with the supplier that you will sell their product and receive a commission for this. And on your website, you make it clear you are a known affiliate. If this isn't fulfilled, then dropshipping is haram. What r ur thoughts on this?

You know they told you it because they don't know what dropshipping really works they heard this sheikh that said it was haram but he did not explained if you make it right is halal. BTW when a sheikh is spreading wrong infos or incomplete one that is haram as well
Better be safe than sorry boys. Avoid drop shipping at all costs. You won't be asked on Judgment Day why you didn't do drop shipping, but you will most definitely be asked why DID you drop ship.

Summary:
Dropshipping & Print On Demand is halal as long as you have an agreement and have planned out who is going to be your supplier in place. What makes a business model haram if there is uncertainty , which as the video explains, if there is uncertainty who is your supplier going to be, then it is haram. Dropshipping is similar to preorder/backorder sale.
In a nutshell, if your business does not have a system or plan in place with a lot of uncertainties of where and how are you going to fulfil the sale item that your buyer just ordered, then it is towards haram and should avoid at all cost.
Also, if your supplier fails to fufill or deliver the item to your customer, then you should liable and responsible for that transaction as a Retailer. You are responsible to settle the dispute, which in this case you may need to offer refund to your customers etc.
Based on this criteria even short selling and intraday equity trading should be permissible since there is always a willing and able supplier is always identifiable prior to the trade in a liquid stock.
I invest more than 2 weeks and learned dropshipping, learned how to create shopify store, created and design a shopify store day and night , made a logo from illustrator , made facebook page and buissness manager account for ads. Listed some items on store but my productivity and motivation loses whenever it comes to run a facebook ads compaign. May be Allah don't wanted me to earn haram. I leaving this just for Allah and i ask Allah for better. No Haram

Jazaki Allahu Khairan ! I started a POD business on Etsy with Printify as a supplier but I have yet to put listings up . I made my own Halal design. Reason why is because I did not know what to do and I did not want to make haram income which is really common in the US. Not only that I did not have the means to start . However, as a student of Islamic law, I realized that most of your arguments/opinions are based on your own logic without reference to authorities in the field. No doubt, islamic is heavy on chains of quality narrations, authorities, collections and preservations of knowledge. Your explanations of the meanings of some of the ahadith is not rooted in the scholarly text and you most likely don't refer to any (not specific to this video).
It is good to educate people but there are always boundaries. Remember, we will all be accountable for anyone who follows our own guidance...be it right or wrong.

Great video and explanation however my concern is this guy isn’t a scholar and this isn’t an official ruling. This is just his interpretation which I assume is based on his desires. He says a few times “I think…” which means he is not certain and it’s his personal view.
As it stands we don’t have any official scholar as far as I know that have approved dropshipping without holding inventory

I believe that you mistakenly said the hadeeth which is :”you can not sell what is not with you” rather than saying :”you can not sell what you do not own”. Which means that the people who were selling the dates in advance did own the dates by themselves.

You buy the products and sell them at higher price and get like a percentage not even the whole money so you are spending more money

I see selling by order as a logical way but scholars say that the main problem is that (you do not own the product) , in the case of the dates the owner of the land still owns the land, and the trees that's the issue that I still can't get around , a dropshipper doesn't own neither the factory nor the product

After they asked me to buy them a product. I myself will take care of buying and shipping the item to the customers. And I receive the money when the item is %100 delivered. First of all, I would like to thank you for the video and all other videos that you make.
There is something that I was hoping you would mention on here that I believe is very important. You do mention people that sell you courses which I am glad you did but I was hoping you would distinguish between true dropshipping and what I like to call "hustling".
What you describe in the video is true dropshipping where you have a business license and contract with a supplier. This model has been around for decades, even before the internet. This is where you had product catalogs for retailers and ordered by mail.
A lot of what is popular nowadays and I am guessing people were asking you about is the hustling model. This is what a lot of "courses" and even free videos youtube try to teach and in my humble opinion its is haram. The way it works is that you find items on cheap websites like aliexpress. It sells there for a dollar, you take it and put it on your site and sell it for twenty. In this case you have no contract with the supplier but you do have a "supplier", I believe this is haram for many reasons, sites like aliexpress were not set up as suppliers, they are retailers. They are selling to the end customer, then the person doing dropshipping bought it on there and took advantage of people not knowing the true value of that product. Most of these items are dollar store type items. In addition, the look of the dropshipping sites typically seems like its in the US, then people get a package from China. Last but not least, I've ordered things from Chinese sites that took months for me to receive. Unfortunately, people have been calling this dropshipping, when it really isn't. I was really hoping you would shed light on this because I am sure some people after watching your video assume this hustling model is what you are talking about because they are not familiar with the term dropshipping being applied to true dropshipping.

I have no problem with true dropshipping when you actually set up an account with a true supplier.

Just a clarification I think you misunderstood, Prophet Muhammed (SAW) can't forbide and make things haram. He does not have such authority it is Allah (SWT) who makes these rules for us. If I am incorrect let me know but I know I'm right. May Allah forgive us.

So, basically Dropshipping in its current form is haram (Supplier not willing) . While Wholesale FBA is Halal (Supplier is willing)
