      Yeah, no doubt lol. In 3000 A.D., archaeologists will discover these ruins and deduce that people from 1000 years ago built this underground temple to look like something people would've built from 2000 years ago all for views on this recently discovered ancient website known as, "TH-cam".

    I've watch at least a dozen of these now and while I'm amazed at the intense level of skill they have, these video's do leave a few questions. Are they building these underground pools to simply show off the tool? Do they use these just to relax or do they do all this work just to leave it and not return? What happens when the water stagnates? Why don't they make these areas actually livable? I would love to see a video where they build a completely livable underground home with a bathing pool. That would be awesome! Not to mention a very nice change.

    • @violetpatina708
      @violetpatina708 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would conclude that these videos are more of a what could be done sort of thing rather than expecting you to conclude they are done 100% by hand. Based on the piles of machined out dirt a short walk away, machine noises in the background, and the clarity of the water at the end, I would assume they show the WAY to do it briefly, then cheat a little to expedite the process to pump out youtube videos. I would wager that water is from a tap line and hosed in, and afterwards if they keep it, some sort of filter put in place. Were it a real survival series they wouldn't build cool pools and little underground holes. I still believe that the vast majority of these things ARE done by hand, just not all of it. My hat goes off to them for even just the clips they film as this obviously isn't easy work.

The ones behind the camera are very talented as well. It would be wonderful to see them build something which they could live and thrive in. It would be interesting to see how they live in the rain forest.

      I seen a video just earlier of a guy that built an underground home something like this with a couple pools for fish and a bathing pool with his bedding area on one side, food storage on the other and on the end next to the steps he had a cubby hole cut out to make fires and a cubby for wood storage. I'd say these guys are ultimate survivalists & bushcrafters and it took him about a month to dig it out, make mud bricks, then covered it all in cement and then covered the top with poles, then leaves and dirt on top of that. Using just his hands and digging stick. Pretty amazing stuff...

      I am more than sure he already had this dug out himself but just made the video to make it look like he took over someone else's imagination on an underground pool. I watched a guy from this culture build an underground home, bath/pool, and two live-wells for fish, 3 cubby holes for different types of foods, a cubby for wood storage, a bed area, and a cubby hole for a fireplace and lined it with grassy plots and with time lapse it took him nearly a month to dig it out by hand & with a digging stick. These fellers are very resourceful. So I doubt this was something he just stumbled upon. He just made it look like he did...

    Filling up that pool with a single vase by hand would take longer than the heat death of the universe, especially if he has to walk a few hundred meters in each turn. The math just doesn't add up, even if the jungle concrete he used on the pool walls is 100% water tight, which I highly doubt, and not counting evaporation. I guesstimate that pool to hold 10-20 cubic meters of water which is 10-20 tons. If the pot holds about 10 liters, then it would take 1000-2000 round trips. If the water source is half a minute away, it would take 16-32 hours of non-stop work, and I was generous with the numbers. This could get into the realm of weeks of water herding easily if the spring is a bit farther and if I count losses resting periods and stuff like these. I say BS.

    • @hazzyra7075
      @hazzyra7075 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This really is a harder part to swallow. Fill pool in the pot. Very handsome work as a whole, but these magical buckets of water, are difficult to accept.

      I mean I'm pretty sure everyone knows he doesnt fill them with water, its impossible if he does so many of these , I'm pretty sure theres water pumping in from else where but that's okay honestly, the guy still great

    • @violetpatina708
      @violetpatina708 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicolealvarez3577 Yes, I think it's more of a how you COULD not a how he DID. Clearly this is on TH-cam and to get views you need videos, so I honestly don't blame them for trying to expedite the lengthier processes. I agree though, the water is WAY too clear to have been filled with a jug just used for dirt and dead leaves, even if it is spring water. I don't doubt that these guys could do this 100% by hand, but in the context of making videos it doesn't make much sense.

      @@ferroterrell2524 Yep, there's literally a dirt pile with machine tooth marks in it just a short walk away. This is probably a little bit closer to a town than they make it seem. I do believe that the vast majority of the work IS done by hand but based on the level of precision in such a short time, it leads me to believe they cheat a little on the grind-ier bits. There is NO way that water is so clean and clear when there is mud and sediment everywhere. They probably have a hose with tap water to help him fill it faster. Also there is a cameraman that could be helping between cuts and whatnot. I think this is more of a show you how it COULD be done for real while expediting the lengthier processes off camera just to pump the videos out. I have no doubt these men could do it fully by themselves if they wanted. But they are wearing modern pants, in good physical condition, and have cameras to film with. I think they would be building more practical things were they 100% out surviving in the wild. They likely just value hardwork and the olden ways of doing things and do this just for fun and to make a bit of money off the TH-cam platform. I could be completely off the mark but my conclusions seem likely based off what I've seen. Cheating or not, mad props to anyone that has the ability to build something like this with a sharp stick and clay jar.

    Even though later on in time these may collapse or flood, that just means the eco system will have more ponds, or preserve water underground during droughts. Everything I've seen is natural from what they do and it nuts how much you can do with a machete esk tool.

    I want to know how long this takes and how he knows the geometry so well on how to create this. I understand it's probably instinctual and he has no grasp of geometry from an educational background (to be fair neither do i, I suck at math) but his ability to understand corners and angles is beyond unbelievable.
