I have a different perspective. I spent most of my 20s bumbling around just making ends meet, but it was the lack of feeling pressure that allowed me to discover myself and experience wildly different things. I got serious when I hit 30 and fortunately landed on my feet with work and whatnot, but I don't regret flailing about in my 20s. It seems to me like you're lacking sympathy and compassion for your younger self - he's a crucial part of your journey. It seems what you're feeling is a sort of "negative motivation" which is a very helpful tool but it's a fuel which can't last forever. That said, I didn't have the burden of people relying on me at that stage.
I needed to hear this. Thank you.
