Just to inform you that reporting these scammers does no good at all. I have been doing this and it takes mere SECONDS for them to be kicked back out to your comments section.
I think our only option is if they stop getting ANY takers of their bait. Hopefully as the word gets around, eventually, they'll finally move on.
But I'm sure they'll just start some other scam.

Mineral oil and paraffin is the same, the active ingredient of baby oil. And they are the liquid form of vaseline. But, in the beauty industry is another ingredient that works like oil (oil-disolve-oil) and like mineral spirits, who works and then evaporate. Is cyclomethicone silicone. Is light and volatile. When dries, left nothing behind. I keep a jar (with a sponge inside, so I can control the amount) saturated with cyclomethicone and I use either q tip or brush. I, even, make a blender marker with this. I hope that helps someone. ( Here,in Greece, I bought it for about 5 euros/100ml). Happy coloring.

You can get mineral oil at the laxative section, so it won't have perfumes or additives added, unlike baby oil.

This thorough, side-by-side evaluation of blending media for pencils was fascinating! We asked one of our art materials information specialists about using paraffin oil with colored pencils, and they said that non-drying oils similar to paraffin oil impart permanent softness essential to oil pastel, and they thought adding paraffin oil to colored pencil would functionally convert the pencil lead into something more like oil pastel. They thought this technique would work best on a heavy paper or absorbent board, so that the oil could be absorbed and the medium could firm up and solidify, since it wouldn't "cure' like oil paint. They suggested using glassine paper between drawings in storage to prevent transferring oil stains to other artwork.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights. They were very valuable and informative. FYI…I was pleased to find that after a few days, the paraffin oil test swatches dried well. I plan to do a follow up video where I can do even more in-depth tests. I will be sure to keep in mind your recommendations. Thanks again.

I've always used Gamsol with a blending stump which works much better than a brush, but I'm going to try the Paraffin Oil. I really like the results you got with that. Never would I use baby oil because the smell (just like baby powder) reminds me of changing dirty diapers (LOL). It's important to note that Gamsol is an ARTIST grade odorless mineral spirit, not the type you buy at Home Depot. Thanks for the research & testing. Saves us a lot of time when you do it for us!

Chatty Stacie here today! When my nephew and I color together, we like to make our own blending stumps, and we use wax cubes (the kind that melt to disperse scents (using only the heat of an incandescent lightbulb), wax liquified in a burning candle, and we even touch the tortillions to our tongue sometimes. But my favorite item to use is fn\he perfect, tiny, portable, and oh so convenient lip balm/Chapstick! They have a wonderful consitency and a little goes a long way. I hold onto the little containers when it's too low to spread on my lips and use the tortillion to dip into the well. That way, I can spread them around in every area/bag/tin I use for coloring. It also works on crayons, but it's harder to achieve. I also have a giant stick of sun block suspended in an oily wax substance; it lost its potency to block UV rays long ago but there is still a huge amount left that would otherwise end up in the landfill or ocean!

Very interesting comparison. I never thought of pre-treating the paper first. Brilliant idea with great results. I'm very interested to see how paraffin oil works with oil pastels as well. I'm definitely going to look into adding paraffin oil to my 'art kit'. I'm looking for an alternative to OSM (I'm a bit under-welmed by the results I get) and it looks to have potential. If they put it in the pencils, it shouldn't effect the archival-ness of the finished work. 👍 I have tried walnut oil (won't yellow over time like linseed oil) with oil pastels and it seemed to work better than OSM, but it does take a *long time* to dry. I don't know how it would work with colored pencils... (I've gotta test that some day). If you've tried walnut or linseed oil with your pencils, I'd love to know if it worked for you. Thanks for sharing!

On the same page there were a couple of different options for Neem Oil which is also used in many beauty products from toothpaste to hair products and everything in-between. I’ve resisted solvent and oils because I work mostly in books and didn’t want to ruin them. But for Christmas I got papers to try that would feed through my printer and purchased downloaded art off Etsy as I wanted to work in more mediums. Now I will breakdown and give the parison oil a try as well! Thanks for the info!!!

Music notes are going off in my head!!! Wow! This was amazing in so many ways. I love that it even showed what you might use in different ways! I am so going to try this AND I am going to do my own test sheet to have on hand for when I want different effects, and I will know what does what. I am also going to go try the different oils and see how they do. You guys are amazing and I love how you take our artistic minds and open them up even more. Talk about "kicking it up a notch!" I have been with you a month now and don't know how I lived without you guys lol.

Can we see a small coloring page using the rubbing alcohol and the paraffin oil to see how its used in a real life use.

I just started working in colored pencils and training myself to be light when coloring. I have been looking at what people use for blending and knew that I could not handle the chemical things because I have chemical sensitivity. Baby oil gives me a headache too. I bought an colorless alcohol pen to try but I got a headache from that. That was surprising because alcohol doesn't give me a headache so I will be trying alcohol. I will probably try that paraffin oil sometime in the future also thank you very much for your video

Thank you - I'm liking the unscented element. I am surprised at the alcohol outcome. Thank you for for taking time to make and present this info.

I would suggest replacing the OMS/Gamsol with Chelsea Classic Studios Lavender Spike Oil. OMS might not have an odor but they still have fumes that can kill you over time. Chelsea Classic products contain no carcinogens. I have no monetary relationship with CCS other than giving THEM money, I started using this brand when I had a cat that loved to help me color and paint. Also, if you paint with oils they have some fantastic fat and lean oil mediums also made with lavender oils.
