I have a small query .for example I anatomy theory is of 200 marks and practical of 100 marks .if a student gets 80 marks in theory which is 40 % . And gets 60 marks out of 100 in practice which is 60% .will he or she be considered pass .because total 80+ 60 is 140 out of 300 which is not 50 % .please elaborate .thank you .
Frequently asked questions circular had clearly clarified that new marks criteria is applicable from August 01 for all batches from 2019 onwards…Why NMC is creating confusion now with a vague circular??

When all the rules are being changed from 2023 & 22' batch, then why next will be conducted for 2020 batch first? When we will get official notifications , we're already in mid of the 3rd proff part1.

Sir..staff of a certain medical College under Pondicherry University says students need to secure atleast 40% marks in each paper 1 and paper 2 and then the aggregate of both papers will be taken which should be atleast 40%in total for passing in theory... any information regarding this sir..
@@SM-zj6lc your question is good...as nmc says that aggregate should be 50%...so, here the aggregate is not 50% hence, it is a tricky situation....hopefully nmc will clarify this...if they actually care

Brother according to new ammendnent in pg 58 of CBME if a student scores 100 out of 200 in theory (50%) and scores 50 out of 100 in practical (50%),will he be considered pass as aggregate is 50%. Or 60%theory and 40%practical /40%practical and 60%theory is mandatory.

Nothing of such sort is mentioned by NMC in the guidelines.....the aggregate should be 40% that's it

if we consider the scenario presented by you..then also your calculation is wrong..the right calculation is [(40+40)/2+60]/2= 50 simple maths...BODMAS

at one place they talk about 50% aggregate and in other place they talk about 40:60....so, nmc guidelines are confusing as expected

So far as I remember, Grace marks provision was cancelled in the new order by NMC
