For someone Not from China:
It is from a very famous TV show (which based on an extremely famous novel from hundreds of years ago). It is a story about thousand year ago a monk set up his mind to go to "west heaven" - india to learn Buddhism. He traveled on his foot with a few his students. The route is long , and the environment is extremely harsh. On his way, there is a queen of a all-women country fall in love with the monk and she was trying to persuade him to give up his plan and stay with her for the rest of life. But the monk was so strong minded and determined that he did not change his mind by such a beautiful woman with her love.
The lyrics of this song is a song that the queen sing to the monk. It says "forget about my kingdom, don't be afraid of the doctrines, all I want is to be with my lover forever and never be apart, all I want is to be with you, together , forever, forever....

The story, "Journey to the West", is basically a novel put together by several writers. There are a few versions. It does not reflect the Buddha's teaching, eventhough the story has the Buddha in it. It talks about Taoism being equal to Buddhism, which is incorrect. Buddhism is not merely for Buddhists, but for all people.

A song from a Chinese TV serious that is based on a long novel of Chinese fairy tales “Journey to the West” (see Wikimedia). The story line is: in the Tang Dynasty, a young and handsome monk was sent by the emperor to the west to collect Buddhist sutras. Along the way, he took four apprentices (who were non-human but immortals and became his safety guards), walked years, crossed many mountains and rivers, and experienced hardships of life and death. The story of this particular song: one day they came to a ‘Girls Kingdom’, a wealthy, peaceful and beautiful place, and there’s no man but all females. The ‘King’ of the kingdom was young and very beautiful. She hosted them, and fell in love with the monk. However, being devoted to his duty the monk although felt the same in his heart refused her, left the kingdom and continued his journey to the west.
