Pierre Polliviere knows how important our oil and gas industry is to the country as a whole.....he will obviously work with Alberta and open the taps.....

Turn off the oil and gas and fuel to ontario. Reduce the cap by stopping tge flow to ontario. Lets see them run on electricity. That should reduce emissions in canada by 35%

@@JBrix86Actually the way around that, is to amend the Provincial /State Constitution to include State sponsored Healthcare (which would prevent federal interference in healthcare plans or insurance) the Province already administrates the Healthcare system. As for the cost it would easily be covered by money recovered by not having to pay equalization. It would also mean 2 elected State Senator's who can be voted out when they fail to do their job, It would mean electing a congress person to represent you and a leader of the country separate of each other, not voting for one to get the other or voting for one and getting the other
It would end US/ Canada tarrifs (for the provinces that choose Statehood, Carbon Tax, GST, Border disputes. For those legal gun owners who care about it, protection under the 2nd Amendment. If Western Canada and the territory became States, it would mean being able to road trip from Alaska to the Florida Keys, never having to cross an international border.
Those are just a few of the reasons why one might consider Statehood.
