Tony@12 with Richard Pinel

In this episode Tony is in conversation with Richard Pinel, Professor of the Organ at the Royal Academy of Music. Richard will be visiting Alderney to give an organ recital sponsored by Hawkesford at the Church on the 14 June. Richard describes the attraction of the organ following his days as a chorister. We take a look at his career to date and then consider the history and development of the organ as a musical instrument from the third century BC. Richard then tells us about the music to played at the concert. All surplus monies will be donated by the sponsor to the Church organ fund.
