  • I invite you to become a member of Scott's and My community. Free trials to our livestreams and over 150 art lessons on Patreon.
Our young chickens are growing up, we get our first two mini eggs.
We paint Danika and I put a camera on Scott's painting to watch his progress.
James Gurney sent Scott a new reprint of his sketching book that was published in 1982. He is a master at drawing the landscape and animals in motion.
Someone asked in the comments to show how I spray my drawings and I show the sprays and how I do it.
    Thank you for watching :-)

When one door closes, another opens. The Doorstop Painting of Danika by Scott Burdick. Necessity is the mother of invention. Scott should copyright the new tool and laugh all the way to the bank. 😉😁 That chicken with the spats on her feet has the most beautiful color on her feathers.

Thank you so much Susan! I was the one that asked about spraying charcoal as I was so afraid of the aerosol blowing the work away….btw we have a mutual acquaintance in the artist David Gray!

Thanks for sharing and the tips. BTW your small chickens are called bantams. Their eggs will always be smaller than "standard" chickens. For baking generally 2 bantam eggs for I standard egg will do. Bantams tend to be good-natured, curious, and make great models. 🙂 T.Allen Lawson did an interesting ptng of chickens a couple years ago.
