- So it is finally here! As promised, here is my arrangement of my favourite guitar track from my all time favourite PC game Metro 2033. I hope I was able to bring something new to the song while retaining the feel of the original.
Nothing quite beats some haunting guitar by the camp fires of the underground while listening to the rangers speak of times before the war...

@@jasontebbit6369 I finished reading the book some time ago. Very good stuff really! Great story, good character arcs and alot of unpredictable plots. I think it is called ''Journey To The Light'' in english. In swedish it is called ''Resan Till Ljuset''. If that even helps.... :)
4A should hire you. I can totally hear this playing during the intro to the next metro game.
Metro is one of those game that you crave because there no other game like it with its own feeling. If you haven't play it yet, I suggest that you do. It's like halo, rich with lore.
2033 is the best one

This song just gives me the chills .. Metro is an undervalued masterpiece in gaming
It's in a bit of a weird spot tbh. Gameplay is dated, even in the new one to some extent. Gameplay isn't its strong point, and that's kind of a big deal for, you know, a Video Game. But it's atmosphere is freaking top notch and the storytelling is pretty damn good. I play it for that, but I get why it's not a more popular game. Lots of people don't care much about those things and just want to get to the combat or whatever.
@@Ventorath Facts, i do admit the gameplay is simple, but normal/simple isn't always bad, i just appreciate the game for what it has to offer .. all fps games nowadays have weird gimmicks, it's not that great neither, but good story telling is always welcomed!

i just played the game a bit (i dont like single player games for the reason the guy above you mentioned) but read the book with the musik played in the background (the main theme) it was a great experience. its a relative big book, but if you like the storyline and athmosphere of the game, you will also like the book.
@@TheSwiftblad3 of course, the game's strongest points are the atmosphere and the story, sometimes it fails, but it generally succeeds at giving you really memorable moments, with the music and some gameplay mechanics that i still enjoy
@@TheSwiftblad3 the book is also great, but the translations are (from what i heard) not exact, which is a bit sad

Lucas Cruz It's standard tuning but a whole tone down, so from low to high it would be [D-G-C-F-A-D]
You can play this song in normal standard tuning or just half a tone down, or even in C or C# if you like. It just depends how "moody" you want the song to sound. I find the lower tunings capture the atmosphere of Metro 2033 better :)

Metro and Stalker I believe are very similar. At least the game system. Metro was based off a series of books.
