I don't think most people realize the work that goes into making a pleasing compilation like this from so many different old clips of varying origins. Wanted to add that to all other compliments & time warp experiences of your happy commenters here and on all the other things I'm watching thanx to your channel. TV intros are like moving picture haikus; montages for watchers to get hooked via intruiging images, snappy music, lyrics with story, iconic stars, supporting faces, famous guest stars

I hear ya! Broaderick Crawford on "Highway Patrol" used to scare me to death watching him when I was a kid! After that, I never wanted to get in trouble with the law! Just the sound of his voice put chills in me! That was all good programming as you know. Taught young people a lot. Good, clean stuff. Take care!

I grew up on a black & white as I'm sure you did. We had two channels that came in when they felt like it and one that rarely made an appearance. Grew up on a farm and TV was my escape! Loved the old shows, especially the westerns like Range Rider & Cheyenne (Clint Walker: he's 86 now). Nice "talking" to you. I like your hat!

Amazing. I thought I was pretty familiar with TV history but I'd never heard of most of those. I decided to read about them on the IMDB and found the "International Detective" was Art Fleming- the original jeopardy host. The great Vittorio De Sica is one of the "Four Just Men". Larry King played a murder victim in "Miami Undercover". And there is a rumor that a young Ted Bundy had a small role in an episode of "That Man Dawson".

I got paid a compliment by Mr Flemming, decades ago.
He hosted a late-night Sunday night radio show for the CBS station KMOX, St Louis.
He would leisurely call in prior to the airing start time from LA into the studio. I did consultation work for a reputable sensitive (or psychic, in pop parlance) with a national following.
She made monthly appearances on the show, but during the station breaks, Art would hear me give speaking points to my client and him on so many points, he actually recommended me to go on JEOPARDY!

From 09:00 these were British TV shows sold to U.S. syndication. Only the pilot of "Man of the World" was made in colour, but it did birth a spin-off, "The Sentimental Agent", also here. "The Saint" here are the 71 B&W episodes, so popular they often beat what the Networks were showing in some areas. NBC eventually bought them for summer reruns and ordered new colour episodes. Oddly, "Maigret" was a BBC production, who rarely sold shows to the U.S. in the 50s & 60s.

Unlike today, prime time started at 7 PM and network programs didn't start until 8. So stations needed to fill time, hence "Syndicated Programming". Nowadays local stations "own" that time, so they fill it with game shows that are cheap to use.
