Every recreational diver used to going way deeper than this is realizing that a lot of this is for drama! 🤣

It’s the time they spend down there, if I’m not mistaken they spend 4-8 hours at a time being down, no matter the depth that amount of time will saturate you with nitrogen. Haven’t scuba dived since I lost my leg so I could be wrong

@@PeglegNav It has to do with way more than that. None of them are certified divers for one, even though they call themselves professional divers! No one with any sense ascends without decompression stops when breathing at depth. 🥴🤣

If you're doing this for a living, why not invest in a spare tank of O2 staged at your access point, with spare regulator and gauges, etc.?
Like, what' the cost of an 80 and reg, couple hundred bucks?
Vs losing your pump or regulator and having no air supply at all, and a required decompression stop. Not a good situation.

This is a great show it's been on forever but, what these guys do to make a living is insane. Living in nome AK, where honey buckets are all you have. I can't quite imagine how these people get by ?$24 a case of water bottles. I love the dream they're chasing continued success and be safe Amen.

I’m sorry, 28 feet is not that deep. This is a dangerous dive because of the temperature, ice, and visibility, but scuba divers would consider this a shallow dive. I regularly freedive to 60 feet.

      For 6 hours?

@@justinharris3757 no; like I said, it’s dangerous for other reasons, and I’ll add the length of the dive to that, but it isn’t that deep.

Got to remember half of these people's equipment is bought at home Depot so 30 ft to them is extreme 💯💯

They need to learn how to do a proper FSA. Never ascend any faster than what your bubbles do.
